Edit Note - I'm playing with this one again. Feel free to try this but it's not 100% finished yet and could likely change.

I recently tried an Almond Berry Angel Food cake and I immediately wanted to try to make a recipe for it here. While it's called Almond Berry it doesn't actually have much almond to it. The outside base of the cake is lined in thinly sliced almonds so you do get a bit of almond but this is mostly strawberry angel food cake with a whipped vanilla frosting.

This was tested and tweaked on The Vaporworks Lab Live Mixing Stream.

WF Angel Cake was the only cake flavor I wanted to use here but even at 3% it only comes across slightly. I added 1% WF Fluffy White Cake to help it out and lowered Angel Cake to 2.75% and the result was a much better cake flavor that still came across as angel food cake.

The cake itself has slices of almonds around the outside on top of the icing so I went with just a touch of FA Almond and TPA Toasted Almond to mimic what they do for the actual cake.

The cake has glazed strawberries baked into the center so I used VT Glazed Strawberries. I went a little higher than I normally do with this flavor but it worked brilliantly and gives the Angel Cake an almost strawberry cake like flavor very similar to the actual dessert.

For the fresh sliced strawberries on top I used CAP Ripe Strawberries. I love this flavor and it works so well here to give it that fresh sliced strawberry note.

For the icing I use a combo of OoO Vanilla Custard Cheesecake and CAP Vanilla Whipped Cream. I had WF Whipped Cream (Fresh) in here as well at first, but it didn't seem to help the balance of the recipes at all so I removed it. The actual icing is a vanilla whipped icing so this combo worked very well here. The OoO VCC gives the whipped creams an icing consistency while the whipped cream really fluffies everything up and give it that nice whipped texture.

I used FLV Sweetness as I usually do for bakeries.

I'm highly enjoying this one and I hope you do as well.

Edit Note - I think I've finally got this one nailed down. Before the icing and strawberry just ruled this mix but now the cake comes across much better. The almond is only there just a touch but that's how the cake is as well so I'm happy with it here. I hope you enjoy!
