This recipe started out as another take on Boss Reserve because I enjoyed the clones on here but wasn't 100% happy with them. That doesn't mean any of those recipes are bad, I might just not like Boss Reserve that much - but I never had the original.
Then it became a kind of tribute to chefs RY Castle (hence the name) and honestly chefs in general. I really hope they come back even though I probably won't be able to order from them anymore. Thanks brexit and thanks vaping regulations. If you have some RY Castle left, you can swap out JF RY4 Double. It's different but both are good options.
The current revision is a result of me trying two new (to me) recipes. Banana Custard Cake by @Mindfloodz has this super nice banana pairing with VT Shisha Banana and VT Banana Custard. I just had to steal that. Then Cheesecake RY4 by @LonesomeRhodesTN made me try something other than the usual biscuit/cookie addition to RY4 recipes. I used a different Cheesecake Graham Crust but that's where the idea came from.
