Someone asked if I planned on doing a Peach Overdose Custard and I'm sure I eventually will but at the time I was actually working on putting it's cousin the apricot in a custard.
I like apricots more than I do peaches but flavorings for apricots are limited. I had kicked around the idea of doing this a while back but with only really 2 bright apricot flavors at the time (FA & MB) it didn't seem like I could really pump the flavor up. Luckily VSO released an Apricot and brought this idea back to life.
To round out the apricot flavors I went with WF Amardeen (Apricot) at 1.25%. This is a pretty strong flavor so this percentage is pretty good here. It adds a nice bright apricot flavor and pairs beautifully with VSO Apricot Raw making a nice bright authentic like apricot flavor.
I went with my straight custard base of FA Custard Premium, INW Custard and WF French Vanilla Thick. To pump it up a bit I added a touch of WF Bavarian Cream. BC also pairs so well with apricot.
I used FLV Sweetness as usual because it works better with creams than most other sweeteners.
It's good off the shake but it really comes together after a 3 or 4 day steep.
I'm in love with this Apricot Overdose Custard and I hope you really enjoy it as well.
