Butterscotch Overdose Custard

Custards have become one of my favorite recipes to develop. All of the Overdose Custard recipes I've made have had the same idea behind them; make simple custards that push their primary flavor more heavily than most.

I have always liked the idea of sharing an Overdose Custard recipe for each kind of "primary" custard flavor. Vanilla, Chocolate and White Chocolate seemed like the logical first choices but Butterscotch, Lemon and Strawberry are ones I definitely wanted to try as well.

For butterscotch custard I knew I wanted FW Butterscotch Ripple and FW Butterscotch as they are my favorite and what I consider to be the best ones out there.

FA Butterscotch isn't a concentrate I'd truly consider a butterscotch but more of a butterscotch like honey. It's not one I'd use as a primary or solitary butterscotch flavor but it works well to fill out other butterscotch flavors with a touch of dark honey-like sweetness.

FA Custard Premium was an easy choice. It's the best straight custard flavor out there and works well with just about any other flavors. When FA CP is mixed with INW Custard the result is an amazing custard that will shine through no matter what other flavors you layer in your recipe.

WF French Vanilla Thick is added to pump the eggy note up and help make the butterscotch have a more creamy feeling. It also helps thicken up the mouth feel and when paired with Butterscotch Ripple the mouth coating body goes through the roof.

Finally a touch of FLV Sweetness was added to kick up the sweet notes and boost the custard/cream element.
