O's Vanilla Pudding Pie

Any time a holiday like Christmas or Thanksgiving rolls around my mother makes a Oreo Vanilla Pudding Pie. I constantly find myself looking forward to it every holiday. It has become one of my favorite, if not my very favorite, dessert. Of course that meant I had to try and make a recipe for it here.

The biggest problem with making this recipe is the fact that not many cookies and cream flavors are "blow me away good". With that in mind I decided to go with FLV Cream and Cookies since it's cream element would compliment the pudding and whipped cream. I mainly focused on just the straight Oreo chocolate cookie flavor with OoO O's Cookie. I chose OoO O's Cookies because it's a good just straight Oreo cookie flavor and it works as cookies on top while also helping TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust taste a bit more Cookie crust-ish. I did try WF Chocolate Cookie Crust but no matter what percentage I set it at it made the recipe have a cardboard note.

For the pudding I went with FLV Vanilla Pudding and added TFA Vanilla Custard II. I really like this combo as a pudding base. Also, the little actual cheesecake TFA CGC has mixes into this base pretty well.

The other tricky part was the Whipped Cream. The actual pie is about 30 - 40% whipped cream and while I'm not totally against layering a lot of whipped cream flavors (just look at my Whipped Cheesecake recipe) I felt like OoO and the cream from FLV Cream and Cookies would work well as this layer.

I sweetened this with FLV Sweetness to help the creams really pop and of course sweeten up everything.

*Recently (06/11/23) I came back to this recipe to try and make it more distinct from my Cookies & Pudding recipe. This time I went as authentic as I could. I added WF Chocolate Cookie Crust at 1.25% to give it a better chocolate cookie crumble crust element. Everything else is the same. Now it has a more defined crust layer, which is good and more accurate to the real thing. I like this a lot more now!*
