A Turkish delight infused ice cream.

Rose and raspberry ice-cream partnered with lemon and elderflower ice-cream.

The first decision I made was the ice cream base, I wanted to limit the vanilla as to not interfere with the main flavour so I chose FLV custard to get that eggyness and then loosened it with FA Milk.

The raspberry and elderflower can easily be dropped from this recipe but version one felt like it was missing something and the raspberry just gives the rose a little body and then my OCD kicked in and the lemon looked a bit lonely so I added a touch of elderflower because, well, it just worked and I like the lemon and elderflower combo, at 0.30 it’s going to give you that floral vibe but it won’t bog you down after a tank-full. The FLV rose essence really is the star of the show here, it let me add elderflower and still keep it on the low side of the floral spectrum.

You can totally drop the super sweet from this and not lose any of the characteristics, it’s all subjective but I feel it adds to that Turkish delight for that gelatinous syrupy edge.

An exotic vape based on the 'Birds&Bees' cocktail.

In this refreshing recipe allot is going on to create a very tasteful vape , i used a berry blend, some rose essence and a touch of back bar bitters infused into juniper gin to create a delicate, aromatic sparkling wine cocktail vape.
The FLV Berry Blend pairs beautiful with the FLV Rose Essence, FLV Back Bar Bitters add a nice bitter touch and mixed with the FLV Juniper Gin and FLV Brut Bubble Wine and some FLV Honey Bee to bind the flavours and adding some sweetness. I added a little FLV Sweetness sweetener, i think this mix need some anyway.
The result is a complex juice experience that changes with every vape you take.

This mix balances from a flower(ish) fruity taste to a more sophisticated and tasteful bubble wine.
A very zen and exotic vape, soft, fruity and never boring. Perfect for the coming summer evenings.

Vapeable after a few days.
Been on the shelf for some time, as with most juices this one change for the better with longer steeps.
Enjoy.

This is part two in my recipe line of Buddha vapes.
Part one found here: http://alltheflavors.com/recipes/151292#clouds_of_buddha_by_nordicflavours

Profile: Steamed rice with spicy mango.

Background:

A while ago, I got thrown into a discussion at work about Buddha. Being married to a wonderful Japanese lady, who are heavily into buddhism, I started to look up what kind of food, the original Buddha's (yes there are a few of them) would actually eat.
Rice was a given and after much researchning I came up with a few recipes.
A sweet/floral one and a more sweet/savory one.

This one being the sweet/savory one.
Initially, this was the original idea for my Buddha vapes, which nicknamed "Project Buddha" in order to cause a little hype on the DIY_eJuice Discord.
The very first dish I came across, that seemed doable for a vape and something the different Buddha's would eat, was rice with mango.
Pretty straight forward, but the more I worked on it, the more messy it got.
At some point I had the whole rose apples aspect from Part One mixed into it and by the end of the day, it was over-flavoring so hardcore, that all you could taste was rice and a strange unidentifiable weak sweetness. NOT THE PLAN!
So after spending a little time with @Shyndo trying to fix this mess, I made the decision to turn it into two recipes.

Choices:

The Rice: is made from FA Sweet Rice and VT Rice Base. I found this combo to be pretty much what nicely steamed basmati rice tastes like.

FLV Cream: helps to bind the rice together, but only just enough to not turn it into a creamy rice pudding, as it wouldn't fit the profile. By all means, this is not really a dessert.

Spicy Mango: I went for FLV Mango here for the sort of main mango flavor, as it is almost what I would consider to be the flavor of an actual mango. However, I felt it lacked a tiny bit bitterness in the aftertaste from the peel, I considered many options. Here both TFA mango (didn't fit), JF Mango (way too bitter!) and FW Mango Guava (no and no, definitely not fitting). Neither of these working, I finally settled for VT Shisha Mango.
I felt VT Shisha Mango added both to help FLV Mango with the sweet and added exactly a tiny amount of bitterness I was after.
FLV Rose Essence comes into play here again as it does help the rice giving it a bit of fragnance and it does add a sort of perfume to the mango.

Concerning spices I had some ideas:
At some point FLV Rich Cinnamon was in play, but as I did not wanted this to be a dessert and I didn't quite see the connection, I scrapped that idea quickly. For a long time, I had FA Cardamom on the table and I had planned to actually pull through with it, but in a previous version I realised that it actually didn't do much good for the vape and added an unwanted off-flavor - while still being good, not what I was after.
Finally, I landed on FLV Heat, which also had been on the table for a long time. Both Heat and Cardamom was in the original line-up, but Shyndo being Shyndo, I realised that I couldn't have both in this vape, so I made a choice and FLV Heat stayed in to give the vape the spice (plus add some good throat hit!).

Concerning FLV Heat: 0.5% is my prefered. If you want it higher or lower (or not even at all), just adjust accordingly. I suggest you leave it in, as it is one of the key components.

On the inhale, you'll taste the wonderful flavor of sweet mango mixed with a pleasent amount of heat. Not too spicy, but nice and moderate.
The exhale mellows out the mango and leave you with a bit of warmth and a delicious creamy flavor of steamed basmati rice.

No real steep is needed for this, as FE Sweet Rice has a habit of fading, but over a day or two, it'll become more creamy and delicious. Works great as a SnV!

Hope you'll enjoy and feel free to leave a review!

This is a part one in my recipe line of Buddha inspired vapes I'm working on.
Part two found here: http://alltheflavors.com/recipes/151144#mists_of_buddha_by_nordicflavours

Profile: Steamed rice with rose apples.

This one here are the sweet/floral one.
It's based off on the a rice dish mixed with what we currently know as a Rose Apple - or more commonly (cause there are MANY Rose Apples), a Java Apple.
While a Java Apple actually not being an apple at all, but got its name due to its colour, it's more of a melon-ish, snow pear-ish type of fruit.
It's found in wide areas in South East Asia.
A lot of credit here goes to @Shyndo and @Alfredpudding for ideas and help choosing the flavors for the Rose Apple

Rose Apple: Shyndo and Alfred both chipped in here. Alfred suggested using CAP Sweet Guava, to add some of the flavor and the flesh along with TFA pear and
FLV Rose Essence for flavor. While Shyndo chipped in (agreeing unknowingly with Alfred) on the pear and rose essence. Shyndo went further and suggested to add some honeysuckle, as honeysuckle and rose essence could be a killer combo - and I agree.

Combine the rice and the rose apple and it's a great sweet and floral vape, with a wonderful rice flavor on the exhale.

No real steep is needed for this, as FE Sweet Rice has a habit of fading, but over a day or two, it'll become more creamy and delicious. Works great as a SnV!

PROFILE - Vanilla cream with a nutty note. Rose vanilla on the exhale(use 1 drop smooth vanilla per 30)

INW CUSTARD/WF TAHITIAN VANILLA CREAM - Makes the cream base

FLV SMOOTH VANILLA - STRONG FLAVOR. USED HERE AT 1 DROP PER 30ml

FLV KINAKO SOY - Provides a slight nutty note or a slight darkness and some texture to the cream

FLV ROSE ESSENCE - This recipe would not be possible without this flavor. All the other roses on the market are way too floral. This concentrate is like smelling a rose not eating it. It’s a light rose scent on the exhale not floral at all IMO

My take on an elderflower gin gimlet - this is not for everyone but if you like a different profile and enjoy florals this may be for you
on the inhale you get the apple lime that transitions to the rose and elderflower sweetness with a light dry gin finish

Rose essence is very light but noticeable along with elderflower which is very much to me like the st germain aperitif flavors- they create the mid notes f and pick up on the botanical notes from the gin
Apple creates some juiciness and top note sweetness, it also pulls in some of the notes from the rose. it used her to help balance this mix for the dryness of the gin
golden syrup creates some base syrup sweetness that is similar to simple syrup in a cocktail
Melon rind is like the white and green part of a watermelon - it i is very similar to the inner white part of a cucumber. used here for some slight wetness

Lime adds some tartness and is essential for a gimlet

Grapefruit Rose Paloma Cocktail!
Saw this cocktail recipe, and had to have it in a vape, because I could see FLV Rose Essence working perfectly in this. This is delicious with a slight boozy note, a delicious sweet grapefruit, and an ever so light rose water taste on exhale.

Enjoy.

Fig a Rose
This is not a floral vape, but not figgy either. This is a beautiful Pudding with Rose Water Caramel and Figs.
This is one of the concept ideas DIY Down Under had in round 2 of the mix-off competition with The Fog Vlog. I have taken the idea and tweaked it a bit more.
Must let this steep for 3 days.

Enjoy

Sticky, fragrant rose flavoured jelly cubes dredged with icing sugar.

Turkish Delight is a classic Middle Eastern sweet and dates back more than 230 years, making it one of the oldest sweet dishes in the world.
They are small, fragrant cubes of jelly, usually flavoured with rosewater, orange flower water or citrus fruits juice and heavily dusted with icing sugar. Some versions include roughy chopped pistachios to add texture and equalise the (sometimes overpowering) sweetness.

FLV Rose Essence is the star of the show here and is a phenomenal rose flavour. Unlike its competitors, this does not overpower everything it comes in contact with. This is a delicate infusion of natural rose frangrances with a delightful realistic & well rounded profile. The expected/inherent floral notes does not interfere and, when used correctly, brings a gentle rose bouquet to the table. It needed a slight boost and sweetness in the form of TPA Rose Candy to create the characteristic (sweet) Turkish Delight.

FLV Marshmallow Vanilla plays a number of rolls here. Firstly, it assist by creating body and given the jelly candy a more manageable texture. It furthermore adds a delicious vanilla note which blends perfectly with the rose. Lastly, it adds the first layer of icing sugar sugar dusting, followed by a generous dusting from OOO Powdered Sugar.

Cap Jelly Candy does here what it is supposed to...it creates a jelly, duh! I pushed it to 3% here as traditional Turkish delight is quite gelatinous.

FA pistachio breaks the menotiny of the Rose by introducing an alluring nuttiness and that familiar pistachio earthiness. DO NOT sub this with TPA Pistachio, you have been warned...

Give this baby 3 to 5 days to mingle.

YAYY!! Its FLV release day! In honor of these marvelous & potent new concentrates, I present this all-Flavorah recipe called "Melrose"!!

DESCRIPTION:
A creamy melon mix with the right touch of rind to make it extremely authentic and "fresh" tasting. Rose Essence really distinguishes this mix from other fruit mixes & tastes like it was created for the sole purpose of living amongst the melons.

FLV Honeydew has got to be the best fresh Honeydew on the market. These new FLV concentrates are potent, so low percentages are a must.

FLV Cantaloupe is added both for creaminess & for filling out the Honeydew in terms of body.

FLV Watermelon was included here to bring out that "fresh fruit salad" flavor. This flavoring isnt very potent. But regardless, I kept it low so as to not take the spotlight away from the honeydew.

FLV Wild Melon I never get sick of this flavoring. Very fresh tasting and not too strong at this percentage.

FLV Rose Essence and FLV Melon Rind: Let me start out by saying that I despise florals. I've just never appreciated them. But, FLV's Rose Essense seems to have infused itself inside of the rind layer somehow. Combined, they also produce a "wet" feel. The mixture of these two concentrates is...magical.

FLV Sweetness is the best sweetener for this mix.

1 day steep
70%VG used

...as a side note, these new flavors are so "buildable" that the only limit to their use is your own imagination. Seriously...they all seem to bring something new & unique to the table. I'm still experimenting but so far, I am really enjoying creating new and exciting combos!
