Traditionally, the Mexican Paloma is served on the rocks and prepared by mixing tequila, fresh lime juice and grapefruit-flavored soda, like Jarritos.
In the US - the cocktail is often made with Fresca or Squirt.
This mix is very very much like Fresca with a dash of tequila and lime. iIt is incredibly refreshing and easily an ADV for me. tested on the reload s at 50 watrs.
The combination of citrus soda, honey pomelo and Pink guava really create a spot on fresca soda off the shake
citrus soda to me is a slightly flat sprite
Honey pomelo is a ripe bright grapefruit with out the biting notes and is slightly sweet
Pink guava brings out more of the pink grapefruit notes and at this percent had a very very light hop note which works with the tequila
Lime Tahiti pushes those grapefruit notes up top and is noted on the inhale
Tequila agave is hard to describe but to me it is very similar to cactus but slightly sweeter and wetter . it is smooth no harshness or booze in the least . I am noting it more on the exhale
NOTE I added a drop of WS 23 and FLV sweetness to add vibrancy and sweetness to the soda . CAP grapefruit could be used around 7% instead of Honey Pomelo but it will have a slightly bitter tart note and leans more white grapefruit then pink
My take on an Arnold Palmer updated with a smoother mix and less angst. While originally created as a concept mix, I did actually enjoy it. This is an updated version largely improved and yet different from original in many profound ways. It is a reimagining of life after being focused on problems, this here is the solution.
INW Plum/FA BC - Not very many recipes use Plum, but I loved its dryness, yet it was just a hair short of full. Plum to me is a bit thin at 1 and at 2 it's at it's limit. I wanted to give it a deeper fruity vibe and sweeten it up so I went with FA Black Cherry, and a touch of FW Sweetener.
FA Black Tea/VT Lemonade Clear/VT Sour lemon - This combo was used to create a lighter tea feel and a less sweet lemonade base to fit the dryness of the fruit. FA BT can probably be bumped up a bit if you want more tea out of it or maybe add a support with something less intense/more forgiving.
FLV Yakima Hops/Pink Guava/INW Cactus - This adds some very slight funk to the whole mix that at these low levels adds just a hint of tropical funk and wetness. It folds under the rest quite nicely to me.
FA Polar blast - I also mix this with Polar Blast at 0.4%,
You know how they say "nothing good ever happens after 2am"? Well that’s a load of s*!t. Per usual Alfred and myself (eyemakepizza) kept Isuamadog up waaay later than his bedtime, he strapped on a headlamp and we were feeling something tropical so we went to work.
We came up with Guava, Pineapple, Lime, and Apple, and some Fizz.

So normally this is where all the development notes would go. Normally. Problem is, there really aren't any. It just worked. FLV Pink Guava is the star of the show here and it does it so damn well. FA Lime Tahity Distilled and INW Pineapple are the background flavors here, they play off the Pink Guava really well. Even though Cap Double Apple is the highest % and our original intention was for it to be a dominant flavor, it ended up being very subtle and added a great bit of depth and heartiness to the overall flavor. VT Fizzy Sherbet does what we love it to do and adds some fizz into the mix.
Right on the S&V Pink Guava is very dominant, not to the point of muting out the other flavors, but it's there, it's out front and it wants you to know it. After a day or two, the Pink Guava mellows out a touch and everything balances out but also blends together beautifully. We are left with a super tropical refreshing juice that you're not going to want to put down.

Original Idea: pairing VT Gin with Honey Bee
Process: Worked on in the diy_ejuice discord by members who were present. Alfred Pudding was on a mission to find the perfect use for Honey Bee and we were interested in pairing Honey Pomelo with Gin. We were thinking FA gin which is less boozy and mostly juniper, and VT Gin was suggested as an alternative which we went for as it fit better for those alcohol notes.
Description: Boozy, citrus, slightly sweet/slightly cool, gin
Result: This is a great vape if you are finally looking for a use for your FLV Honey Bee. It's potent stuff and it's scary smelling. At 0.25 here it does its magic without overpowering. Links in with the citrus combo: VT Honey Pomelo, FLV Pink Guava, and VT Persian Lime which stand strong as an unusual citrus with a twist of lime on top of the gin base. A little coolant without ruining the hot boozy note and presto! We hope you enjoy this as much as we did!

I created this recipe using my "Moscato Liquido" layer.
I wanted to use my Moscato layer in a Fruit Juice but did not want to do the average Grapple or some thin kind of fruit juice. I figured a Tropical vibe would be weird enough with a Grape layer and gave it a try.
This turned out very tasty! A strange and delicious mix that I can only describe as a Pink or slight red Tropical fruit Juice with a unique mouth watering grape twist to it.
The Pink - The combination of the Shisha strawberry and FLV Pink Guava is where I got the tropical notes from. The Shisha melting the tropical guava and Citrus notes down into a sweet nectar that mixes into the Grape layer.
WS23 - added to bring in the cool Beverage boost
Sweetner - Yes add it. the profile is not the same if you leave it out. I would say the lowest the SS should go is 0.25... LOWEST!
Give this a Mix if you are looking for something fresh
Changes: If you like a longer lasting Guava, Add some CAP Sweet Guava to this!
I'm not one that really likes tropical fruits. To me tropical fruit flavors are over the top in your face bold, and combined with a somewhat, for the most part, unpleasant texture it ends up being just too much for this landlubber. I was somewhat amazed that I embarked on this recipe given my relative dislike of this 'genre' of food. I received a bunch of flavors from Flavorah of which one was Pink Guava. The aroma of Pink Guava is so intriguing that I was driven to find a recipe for it. I proceeded to scour the Internet looking for Guava recipes. The result of my query ended on a Mango, Guava, and Strawberry smoothie recipe that also incorporated Bananas and Coconut Milk as a base.
Off I went trying to get this together, and the results are quite amazing IMHO. While you can SNV this recipe, after a three to five days steep the banana cream really starts to fill out as a base.
FLV Mango is just a great all around Mango flavor. It may not capture all of the true Mango essence, but for a smoothie it really does the job. FLV Pink Guava is such a unique and aromatic flavor. I did not want to wander into the Grapefruit territory so I kept it low in this recipe. I can't really taste Strawberry flavorings that well, so I chose FA Juicy Strawberry and FA Red Touch at a level that is providing a tart natural Strawberry back note behind the Mango and Guava - others may find a more pronounced Strawberry flavor in the mix - sorry about my Strawberry muted olfactories.
For the base I chose FLV Sweet Coconut for the Coconut Milk along with a little FLV Cream to bolster the fullness. For the Banana I had to go with VT Banana Custard. This is such a smooth natural Banana flavor. After the steep it provides a very nice natural Banana addition to the vape. I also added just a few drops of FLV Coconut which increases the depth and creaminess to the Coconut Milk base. I know it is somewhat expensive, but it is so good that you really need to have it in your arsenal. If you don't have it you can probably leave it out, but a very rich aspect will be lacking.
When I vape this the initial exhale is that full creamy Banana with a slight hint of Coconut, and then that wonderful Mango, Guava, Strawberry mix settles on the palate that lasts for quite some time. This is one of my favorite recipes. It it is very rich, and if I over do it my palate can get worn out due to the bold flavors involved. I will also add that nicotine will alter the vape of this recipe quite a bit. I find that running between 1.5 to 2 mg/ml of freebase nicotine is best. You might be able to push the level more with Nicotine salts.
For the most part this recipe is complete, but I reserve the right to maybe tweak the percentages a bit. I have vaped this in both a single coil RDA and an RTA (the RTA leans toward the creamy banana, and the RDA toward the Mango-Guava) with excellent results, try it and let me know what you think.
[Update] I've been waffling on the overall percentages of this recipe between two 'final' versions that I have. The first version of this recipe I posted is quite strong, and is possibly too much flavorings if used in an RDA. I thought it would tame down in the steep, but it did not. The second version I have of this recipe reduces most of the flavor percentages down by 25%, and I find it a lot smoother in an RDA without sacrificing too much flavor. I reduced the FLV Mango, VT Banana Custard, and the FA Strawberries from 2% to 1.5%, the FLV Sweat Coconut from 1.5% to 1.25%, and finally the FLV Cream from 1% to 0.75%. I left the FLV Pink Guava, FLV Coconut, and Sweetener as they were.

The Baja Soda at this percentage offers a great start to offer some of those refreshing blue tones you get in drinks like powerade ect. It also gives a little citrus which can complement almost any style of light fruity beverage profile IMO.
The hero here is the delicious Blueberry lemonade Slushie. The blue razz tones are so similar to those blue slurpees and the lemonade offers an almost bubbly mouthfeel which really assists this over all profile with the right level of sweetness and a slight cool note offers some refreshment. While the Baja Soda ? Blueberry lemonade slushie are almost good stand alone, together they are a happy marriage.
However I really wanted to add a little bit of a tropical mouthfeel to this profile without getting to complicated. IMO nothing adds a little "tropical" to a beverage profile better than the delectable ? delightful Flavorah Pink Guava. This stuff alone takes you to an oasis with pink flamingos lol.
Seriously though the contrasting tones of flavor against the refreshing blue ? citrus notes seemingly work beautifully. A couple of extra cubes of ice (hence 0.5% ws-23 30%) and this one is going to be perfect on the sundeck as we sit poolside relaxing and enjoying this vape.
At least this is what I get and feel from this lovely little recipe.

love the contrast of light during sunset as the last light of day begins to be shrouded by the darkness of night. For me it is the most magical and romantic time of day. I wanted to create a mix that provided a contrast such as this
On the inhale you get the slightly sweet peach nectar and oba oba which is contrasted against the tart grapefruit note of the pink guava on he exhale.
The sparkling wine and blood orange sit in the middle of this mix bridging the peach nectar to the pink guava
The golden syrup create a slightly darker base not in this mix
Th is a pleasant citrus ADV if this is a flavor profile in your wheel house give it a go
I added a touch of super sweet to this mix at 0.30 % to get the bright notes to pop even more
