I wanted to move away from the expected with this recipe, and I was intrigued by a recipe on a cocktail recipe site that used almond and stone fruit liquor with pineapple juice, a flavor combo I have never tried in real life. It is much less expensive to try it in a vape first, and it really works! Not too sweet and a real change of pace from the typical pineapple vape.
I used VT Creaming Soda as the beverage base and punched it up with two pineapples, FLV and INW. I tried several almond flavors, and settled on the clean FA Almond. I did not want to add more brightness with the stone fruits, so I chose FA Apricot.

My grandfather used to make a Millionaire Pie every year for Thanksgiving. He would make an extra one, just because we all loved it so much. He gave me his recipe many year ago. He began getting sick a few years ago, and so I started making the Millionaire Pie for holidays for the family at my family's request. He has since then passed away, and it has become something I make every year. Since he got sick, I have been trying to make this into a vape form, and this has gone through close to 100 iterations to try and make it "perfect". The problem is, it will never be perfect. This is the next iteration that I am making, and in light of Fresh03's Metal Mixing, and the song End of Heartache by Killswitch Engage, this is the first public iteration that I have released, and will release changes along the way as well. I will put notes below:
The Graham Cracker Crust: Pastry zest adds that little something that makes the authentic crust in a vape form. Graham Crust and Cinnamon Sugar make the graham cracker portion, giving a good flavor and slight texture.
Filling: I did a lot of layering here to try and get the filling balanced, I feel its getting there, but as always, I will think it needs something differet. The two condensed milks add a great balance, and make for the sweet condensed milk base. The whipped creams, FLV being a very authentic whipped cream taste with a good mouthfeel; CAP adds a hint of vanilla which plays well with everything, and adds a layer of whipped cream. The cream cheese icing adds more mouthfeel and depth, as well as the cream cheese taste which is also part of the base of the pie.
Filling "Toppings": FLV pineapple is slightly sharp, but sweet and I feel it mixes well in this. FW Butter pecan is a cream and sweet pecan, which lends a great pecan taste, the butter blending in with the rest of the creams. WF Roasted pecans and cream adds a hint of realness and the toasted pecan taste.
The mix is sweet as it is, you can put sweetener to taste. I like it sweet, and this is a very sweet dessert, so I add a touch of SS
This is a White Whale of mine, that I have been working on for too long. It will never be perfect, I can only hope to get it where I feel its "Acceptable". It will probably never be finished sadly.
A sweet and bright pineapple laid into a light yellow cake, topped with pomegranate
In the middle of a cold snap and wanted to dream of brighter days😎😎. This is oddly amazing after a 2 week steep its almost as good on a shake but i would be lieing. Its just slightly better with a steep😎. This isnt necessarily based on the drink in the picture but the picture definitely gets the concept across that i am going for.
A sweet pineapple candy with a nice chewy texture, similar to those tasty, chewy candy cubes that are coated with sugar (like in the thumbnail). I wanted a very pineapple forward candy and I think this accomplishes that.
Pineapple - CAP Golden Pineapple for a sweet candy pineapple and FLV Pineapple for more of a realistic note but still candy enough to work here. TPA Dragonfruit just to fill in some gaps and still add a hint of Pineapple gummy.
Candy - CAP 27 Bears is a great flavour, and seems to lean towards pineapple so I thought it would be a good match. FA Candy Wizard to add the gummy mouth feel and a great texture.
I added a fair bit of sweetener here with .75%. I actually upped it to 1% early on in the batches but it felt a bit too sweet for my tastes. But, people who have tried it, liked it with the higher amount.
Sweet rice cooked in coconut milk with pineapple and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
This arose as a result of mashing up hashslingingslashur's Leche de Coco and ID10-T's If You Like Piña Coladas for my wife (long story short: she decided to pursue her Master's Degree while teaching full-time and was feeling the urge to smoke again. So I got her a vape with zero nic to puff on while she is writing, and it has satisfied that urge.). I let her poke around ATF, and she liked the way both of those sounded. I remixed them into one recipe, and every time I fill up her tank I'll take a few pulls off of it. I've also been intermittently working on a pineapple upside down cake. The two ideas began to coalesce into one, and I began thinking about how coconut milk and pineapple would go with a rice base. I did some quick research that led me to a Mexican dish that had all of that with cinnamon sprinkled on top.
I took part of my rice pudding base from Thrice Pudding Twice, threw a little bit of Leche de Coco and If You Like Piña Coladas at it, added a touch of FLV Rich Cinnamon, and mixed it all up 60vg/40pg. Off the shake, it is pretty darn good. It's a sweet rice cooked in coconut cream with a touch of pineapple baked in and sprinkled with cinnamon. Enjoy!
I wanted to do something tropical, and while going back through my notes I came across INW Cocopilada. The first thing I had written down was "very nice tropical blend of pineapple and coconut, reminiscent of a Pina Colada." Then right below that I had notes on INW Cherimoya which is a lovely flavor that screams tropical so I figured this was a perfect fit for what I was shooting for. There's notes of banana and pineapple in this, with a creamy richness most fruits just don't have.
For me, a mix has to be more than just a good flavor. It needs to match that profile when you actually vape it. Something like this I picture it as being thickened up from the banana, so I needed to build the body up a little more. Plus I like a dense satisfying vape!
TPA Banana Cream actually does a good job of this, and at 2.5% it gives this a nice richness and helps accent the banana notes I get in Cherimoya already.
Now, the only thing left to do is to sweeten up the coconut note and find a contrasting pineapple so it can stand out a bit more. I used TFA coconut candy only because it was a sweeter type coconut. That candied coconut helps it show up better in this mix. I tried a couple versions with FLV coconut and sweet coconut, but TFA just worked better for what I was going for.
FLV pineapple here was a pretty simple call. At 1% there's zero throat hit, and it adds a hint of tartness that helps stand up against the thicker banana. CAP golden pineapple is too sweet and it lacks bright top notes. When the majority of the fruits are base notes, I needed that pineapple to be bright so I didn't get buried.
This mix came out beautifully! It checked all my mandatory boxes to qualify as an ADV. From flavor to mouth feel this has it all.
You could add 1% of VT Light Rum if you want to give it a banana kissed pina colada vibe which is what I'm vaping right now and it's damn good. Or you could try adding your preferred coolant if you want to chill it, this works well there too.
This wasn't an overly complicated profile, but to get the body I wanted as well as getting certain notes to contrast one another was a bit tricky. It was fun to do though and all the testers were good.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I have been, I'm due to mix another bottle now.
You can S&V this, there's no harshness or anything but I find it hits the best balance after about 3 days. Banana Cream usually needs a few days to settle down for me and get in it's position
Tres tropical= a kiwi and pineapple laced Tres Leches cake. I don't really think the ingredients need much explanation it's kind of obvious why I used what I did but here is short explanation. The tres Leches cake is the white cake and tres Leches fw. A tres Leches cake is a cream cake of sorts so my frosting mixture actually helps with the cream cake profile. My frosting is made with a combination of cream cheese icing, meringue, and vanilla whipped cream. It's a nice light frosting perfect for the profile. So the most obvious part is my fruit toppings I used a combination of kiwi, and pineapple flv and golden pineapple by cap. If you don't have pineapple flv just leave it out and boost the golden pineapple. Other than that I love this mix it's a delicious vape. A great fruity bakery for the summer time fun.. Enjoy!!
I used .35 flavorah sweetness. You can use or don't use whatever sweetener you prefer but this is what I used.
