Although I'm sharing this recipe, it was not my idea, but ID10-T's. However, he insisted that it's more my recipe than his and that I should share it. My only contribution was letting him know of a flavour order I made for a bunch of Mango concentrates we were discussing, along with FLV Cranberry and CAP Lemon Lime to try out his 1-2-3 Cranberry Sprite recipe. By doing so, it gave the Mango Man himself an idea - swapping out the FLV Cranberry with FLV Mango, to create 1-2-3 Mango Sprite...and it didn't disappoint. The Mango/Lemon/Lime combo works wonders.
Another great example of simple, yet effective! Definitely something that can be tweaked/built upon to make it even more amazing e.g. INW Cactus/FA Pear to add some juiciness and WS-23 and/or Polar Blast because fizzy drinks should be enjoyed cold. Perhaps some sweetener, if desired.
The names says it all.
Fresh mango, creamy coconut & a bit of banana to bring it all together. Straight forward yet dynamic and well balanced.
Essentially, I just took my favorite concentrates from each category and layered them together to create something that is fruit forward & tropical but still delivers a creaminess I love in any mix. Instead of getting carried away with loads of flavorings as I tend to do I wanted to keep things as simple as possible. 5 flavors and some super sweet. That's it.
In my mind nothing tops FLV Mango or VT Shisha Mango in the mango category. They're both fabulous but they're also quite different. Combining the two was a no-brainer for me. VT brings the bright vibrancy. FLV brings the creaminess. FLV Sweet Coconut is the coco goat. There is simply NO possible substitute for this one. Lastly, TPA Banana Cream is my #1 when it comes to bananas and pairs beautifully with the sweet coconut.
That's all folks! Enjoy! And be sure to post your feedback in the comments ;)
Sweet purple mango and rich vanilla ice cream come together to take you to paradise.
Since this recipe was discontinued as a one-shot by Chef's Flavours, I've gotten a couple of requests for the recipe. After being told today that someone spent a bunch of money trying to find the same passion fruit flavor that's in there (as you can see, there isn't one), I thought I'd better release the recipe just in case there was any chance of anything like that happening again. The FLV Mango + FA Violet combination is a pairing I've been enamoured of since Kopel released his recipe, Mango Beauregarde. I used it in this with his permission. The vanilla ice cream base is the same one I used for Longing, but with a lot more TFA VBIC to thicken it up against these thinner, juicer ingredients, like FLV Mango. I'm still in love with this profile, but I've been meaning to improve the recipe for some time now and then release the improved version... just haven't gotten around to it. When I do, it's definitely going to have the TFA VBIC replaced with LB's Ice Cream. It might also have a touch of VT Shisha Mango... and who knows what else. We'll see. In the meantime, hope anyone interested enjoys the original recipe.
I have taken Fear's Bloody Mango Sorbet, because why reinvent the wheel?! That recipe is damn good and I enjoyed it. I wanted to add on to this for Fresh03's French episode. I will take it one step further to make a Mango-Basil Vacherin. It is a mango sorbet with a basil infused vanilla ice cream, garnished with lime zest.
After I let it sit and try it, there might be some changes in the basil and lime wedge. The basil might be beat out right now with all the citrus, and the lime wedge fades like crazy, so the sit is required, but i might not have put enough in it.
Well this came as a request from a friend I started mixing for. He wanted a mango pineapple juice type of mix so I went hard on the mango and pineapple. I've found the 3%-1% INW Pineapple to Golden Pineapple is really a sweet spot. For the main mango's I went with the staples FLV and VT Shisha. Like many FLV flavors their mango is potent and on point. When you open Shisha Mango and smell it, its just straight mango nectar. The mango & tango is one of my new favorites. It definitely needs Mango support and the tango, whatever it is, helps the pineapple pop. If want something fruity try this and add WS-23 if you want, go nuts.
Heavily diyordie influenced. All credit goes to Wayne Walker / DIYORDIE. I just took Wayne's Blood Mango Ice recipe, left out the ice, and raised the %'s up a little. And I've gotta say that this is Pretty...Pretty.....Pretty............Pretty Good!
Cap super sweet at 0.2% or 1 drop per 20mls. Mix at whatever nicotine strength, pg/vg ratio, or cap super sweet % needed to your liking. Enjoy!
Mexican mango + cream paleta. These are my Second favorite, my favorite being Arroz (rice). FE mango is damn good, and very close to what the mango ice cream bars taste like. I added some flv mango for a bolder mango top note, and wf island mango for a bit of its green under-ripe flavor. I enjoy this recipe with .25 cap SS, but it is totally fine without sweetener.
