This was an exercise to see how FLV Eggnog would pair with FLV Back Bar Bitters to create a spicy custard base to add brighter fruits notes such as apple. It was quite the experiment full of twists and turns, with a finished recipe that could only be described as a burning apple orchard. A caramel apple pie pipe tobacco. Has a nice kick to it. The kind of tobacco recipe that is well suited for sitting on porch in late September to unwind from the day.

Jewish Apple Cake
A dense/moist brown sugar cinnamon apple cake.
Even though I came from a Christian family, this cake is something my mother made at least once a month. Sadly, since my youth I haven't found a recipe that comes close to matching her expertise with this marvelous dessert. I was fortunate enough to not only have a mother who was a great cook, but also an expert baker!
For my base, RF COFFEE CAKE was the obvious choice. This flavoring is not the most potent(probably because it is VG-based), so a high percentage was needed. Within this flavoring, you will taste cooked apple, cinnamon, and brown sugar "crumblies". It still needs help though, to become full flavored.
FLV APPLE FILLING & FLV APPLE filled out the cooked fruit/cinnamon layer quite nicely here. I tried FLV Apple Pop before this combination but found it didn't quite do what I wanted it to do. This doesn't mean it would not be a perfect additive in any other baked apple dessert. I just found that it didn't quite work here as I wanted.
JF YELLOW CAKE & JF BISCUIT complete the cakey base of this recipe. This is a very good combination at these percentages.
If you want, you can crank up the CAP SUPER SWEET to about 0.5%. I can't stand this flavoring too high...which is why I kept it relatively low here. Too much sucralose smothers little nuances afaic.
Of course, this is a potent enough mix to be vaped fresh. But I prefer it from 5-7 days plus.

A subtlety spiced full crust apple pie.
An apple pie recipe has been a hit & miss experience for me for quite some time in an eLiquid as I found it's difficult to enjoy often due to my palette being left feeling dry from pastry flavors that seemingly linger. Thankfully in 2019 there are a lot more flavors that are available that can help avoid this.
What I have developed here is a full home baked crusted & delicately spiced apple pie recipe with a lovely splash of thick delicious custard.
However patience is the key to success here, for best results a 2 week steep is a necessity. It vapeable before hand but the spice notes from the FW Dutch apple pie are little to forward and need this time to meld properly with the other flavours. It's worth the wait. This is not a quick over the counter or supermarket apple pie, this is "Home Baked".
FLV Apple Filling - is the awesome cooked apple in this pie with some lovely rich cinnamon notes. This is rare for a Flavorah concentrate to be pushed this high but this one loves to be pushed a little higher in bakeries I find.
FW Dutch Apple PIe - Is an underrated concentrate in my opinion. It offers some rich bakery & cooked apple notes and when used low as I have here it really can give a rich fruity recipe a solid centre to help bridge a profile.
FA Apple Pie - Has slight yet brighter apple notes than the others but it's crust which is dominant is mainly why this is used here. It is a very stable and enjoyable pastry crust to use in most fruity bakery profiles.
WF Croissant - Assists with some flakiness of the crust and adds some lovely contrast to the pastry.
FLV Smoked Butterscotch - for that fresh baked straight from the oven accent to this profile really does well here.
FA Custard Premium - This thick authentic silky custard is the best going around right now in my opinion. It really helps to balance the whole profile here as it covers the pie but doesn't drown those nuances of flavour either. This is the savior to an apple pie recipe profile because it helps to not only make the vape not dry over time but helps fill out the mouthfeel of this very enjoyable vape.
Variation of Sweetness - If you feel this isn't sweet enough DO NOT reach for the supersweet ! Rather go for 0.5% of VTA Golden Syrup. I tried this when testing and it gives the right amount of dark sweetness here if you're a sweet tooth.

IMO this is a very pleasant and enjoyable vape on a single coil RDA at 60W with a SST single coil at 0.2 ohm
1. Lightly grease a round baking tin using CAP Golden Butter
2. Process OO Pie Crust, *TFA Acetyl Pyrazine ,FA Cookie and CAP Butter Cream in a food processor until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
3. Roll out pastry between two sheets of baking paper until large enough to line base and side of prepared tin.
4. To make custard just add FA Custard Premium in a large jug until smooth
5. Combine PUR Country Apple with FLV Apple Filling and VTA Red Fuji Apple in a bowl. Spread over pastry base. Pour over custard.
6. Shake and Steep in a moderately dark room for about 5 days or until you just can’t wait anymore.
7. TIP: If pastry becomes too soft when rolling out, return to steep for 1 more day with an extra drop or of AP. Store in the vape bag out of direct sunlight. Before serving, drip in RDA at about 0.25 ohms and 50 Watts.
This is a collaboration mix with @mlNikon . After trying Joker we both found that it would be ideal to try and build a funnel cake around . On the inhale you get that bright sweet powder sugar that transitions to that dark sweet fried dough with a brown sugar apple cinnamon finish and a light fried coating feeling that lingers. Tested on a reload S RDA with a .17 alien coil at 60 watts
Growing up we would go to upstate New York for vacation, always around the time of the dutches county fair. This is where I had my first funnel cake and every year there after . So needless to say I have eaten a few in my time .
In creating the fried dough with a a nice dark crisp outer edge of a funnel cake we found that Joker with a little bit of sweet dough worked. We tried several different options and by far this captured that mix of soft inside and crisp dark fried dough outside .
Adding some mouth feel and some additional accent notes apple filling and cinnamon sugar work well for that dark sweetness that is needed for a funnel cake
So anyone knows that the most important part of a funnel cake is the powder sugar . When applied to a warm funnel cake it almost becomes an icing. powder sugar and FW sweetner create that bright in your face, over the top sweet powder note.
So the one thing that was missing here was that lingering coating of grease after eating a funnel cake this is what golden butter does for this mix - just a touch believe it or not is enough to give that impression.
