We talk about this layer in this video: https://youtu.be/H6dmCABsHI0
This is not a complete recipe, this is a apple filling with custard drenched all over it. Its delicious on its own. But you can get creative and add your favourite crust or crumble layer to this, and you will have a full dimensional vape.
So after a few attempts I finally created a layer that i'm happy to release. I'm a shake and vape kinda guy, and the biggest mission for me was to create a custard layer that has enough body right from the shake.
INW Custard - nice full body custard, fastest steeper of the bunch - also nice eggy notes to it. But needs help as a SnV
TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust - This adds the body to the vape, and it was added low to not bring any cheesecake to the party.
CAP Golden butter - Deepens the custard right from the shake you get some depth when you add this.
FLV Apple Filling - I used it at 1% as I feel that is enough cinnamon, and enough apple to sell the profile i'm going for.
This is a up town sun downer cocktail that only the affluent really understands - Ice Cold Expensive White Muscat Grape Vino - with a dash lemonade, and frozen Honey Dew Ice cubes - I know honey, BOUJEEEEEE.
FLV Moscato - Delicious Grape flavour, this is my new FA White Grape
FLV Citrus Soda - Dash of lemonade fizz, helps out with the body of the mix also
FLV Brut Bubble Wine - bends the white grape to a Vino
CAP Honeydew - used very low to mess with the grape and bring a new exotic flavor out of the vino
WS23 - Fizz, Cool
SS - It needs it, this is a cocktail - it really helps the fruit pop a bit more.
So this is the first boozy vape that I have created - I would say that it serves as a gateway to other boozy / cocktail vapes out there. I love working with grapes, and that translates well when working with wines.
We spoke about it in this video : https://youtu.be/nDlyaa2zQ0M
This is not a complete recipe, just a layer - but there is tons of things you can do with it. Its a delicious full bodied juicy mango - with a purple black currant finish. Oddly these two fruit belong together. You are going to need a smidge of Super Sweet to in this combo - trust me. It works very well.
Ice cream - Perhaps something like LB Vanilla Ice Cream
Cocktail - look for a white rum, or vodka base
Ice Lolly - Bang some ws23 in here, and you are going to have a party
Spoke about this in this video https://youtu.be/Y7YLmtYESgs
I'm really pleased with this layer I have created - it serves as a base for so many variations. The thing with a lemonade is you can chuck any candy berry or fruit for that matter and it should work. If you love lemonade, and you are looking for something with a sparkle - this has to be the closest you can get. Then when you get bored of it - you just bang a berry or whatever in it, to put a different spin on it.
This is a somewhat affordable high brow middle class sparkling lemonade drink - with about 16% actual lemon in it. (WOW)
I tested this in my 22 Citadel, and its very in your face lemonade - so my suggestion would be to keep the ratio and just bump it down by 20% if you are planning to vape this in a flavor atty.
FLV Lemonade : Uptown home made lemonade, also has a slight bitterness to it
FLV Citrus Soda : Bit of a sparkle, citrus notes - to turn my uptown lemonade into something more affordable for the middle-class.
CAP Jelly Candy : Texture
WS23 20% : Coolness
CAP Super Sweet : Removes bitter note from lemon, they do this in the real world also, I like sugar.
This is not a complete recipe, its a Mixed Berry Jam layer that would work well on top of a cheesecake, ice cream or a crunchy toast layer - it will also work as a jammy filling inside a bakery.
Black Berries / Blueberries with a hit of Strawberry. Its super gooey and sticky - with a nice round mouthfeel. Not overly sweet - but somewhat sweetish. Hope you guys enjoy.
We talked about FLV Berry Bend in a live show - https://youtu.be/BYKq4D3Fh6o
EDIT - @Tam Vapes suggested 0.25% FLV Boysenberry to deepen this jam, and it worked.
This is a smack you in the face mango banana cream blend - amazing for summer time. If you are a fruity & creamy fanboy - give this a smasheroo.
I have a variation of this recipe out as a oneshot, it uses a re-labled Mango called CBE Double Mango. I have been searching long and hard for a Mango that is of the same caliber as CBE so that I can share this recipe with the world, and not only South Africa.
FE Mango is our saving grace here, trust me I have tried so many mango concentrates in my time in vaping (Thanks RudeRudi for finding this, and recommending it). Banana Cream TFA brings the body, and mid notes, and provides an amazing blend. These fruits belong together.
Sweeten & Cool as per your preference, I made use of 20% WS23 Dilution - and added 1% SS to the original recipe, and it really works.
The original recipe has 8% CBE Double Mango in place of the FE Mango @ 4%
I have gone through so many variations of grape recipes to finally get here. The Grape Juice & White Grape combo is great - but can easily read as sweet wine, which is useful, but not what I was going for. I did want a darker grape, without using Grape Concorde. I wanted it to read as a slightly sweetened, blended grape drink that is somewhat authentic, and somewhat sweetened & flavoured.
FE Grape - lovely mix between authentic, and slightly candy. Works great to add another layer to my grape
FA White - adds a smidge of body, surypy sweetness
TPA Grape Juice - this is mostly the base of the trinity, extremely underated grape
FA Black Currant - was added very low to bring some body, as most grapes can read quite flat - it also adds a bit of purple to the paler grapes.
Sweeten & Cool as you prefer - my suggestions here is for a more commercial feel sweet grape juice. The WS23 I use is a 20% dilution.
After the word hit the street that FLV Created a shake and vape tobacco, I was quick to add it to my cart and start playing around. I'm enjoying my MTL setup during the day, I get through the day with less vape breaks - and extremely satisfying vape sessions.
We did a review show on Vurve, and RudeRudi spoke about Sweet Leaf. Following that I got in my concentrates, and mixed it up - I found the recipe to be really authentic, with a touch of dryness - like any cigar would. But because I have been vaping sweet fruits and desserts, my palate wasn't ready for it. So I smashed in some of my favorite dark cream, and caramel - to help add more body to this delicious cigar flavor. TFA Bavarian cream has a way for filling in all the dead spots in the mix, giving you a all round fuller body experience.
This is a Creamy Caramel Cuban, made for the squad that is tobacco curious, the perfect gateway to tobacco's. I would recommend this in a MTL setup - as this is how I tested this specific recipe.
Only add the super sweet if you want serious dessert style sweetness - because the TFA Bavarian Cream & FA Caramel is inherently sweet. This is not everyone's cup of tea, because it actually goes really well with a strong cup of coffee in the morning. Absolute bliss.
If you like sweet stuff, and also hit some tobacco recipes from time to time. Give this one a Smasheroo!
This mix was truly inspired by Dazcole - Fantastic. I was after a more sugary soda mix, where Fantastic had some authentic notes to it. Originally "Fanta" that started in europe had a bit of orange juice in it, however today's recipe contains no orange juice. Fun lil fact for you right there.
This is smack you in the face orange - kind of like a malaysian style mix. If you mix this up, please let me know how you feel about it.
Blood Orange FW + Tanger FA + Shisa Orange INW - This is my orange base, and it creates a delicious sweet blood orange
Strawberry TFA - I used this here to help blend the fruits together
WS-23 - (20% Dilution) Cools everything down, gives you the sense that there is some fizzyness also
Jelly Candy - To help out with the body of the soda, and also sell a more candylike orange flavour
Cactus - Adds some wetness to the mix
SA Vapecon has a DIY comp every year - this year I entered for the first time, the rules of the competition was that it was a total blind test - and also people that attend the trade-show test, no recipe information was given out - or mixer names etc (totally blind). We were also limited to a set amount of concentrates. The final product was also tested in sub ohm tanks, which added another point to consider. This was my entry, I didn't win the compo - but fuck it I love it so here you go.
INW Cactus To add some wetness, and also boots the citrus notes of Juicy Lemon
LB Pink Lemonade - Just a nice pink base to work from, wont work as a main note
CAP Jelly Candy - Making everything a bit more artificial and soda'like
RF Strawberry - What a lovely strawberry, works well in a lemonade.
WS23 - I used a 20% dilution in this mix, also helps with the fizzyness.
This is a sugary soda, and the recipe has a commercial feel to it - you can sweeten, and cool to your liking. But consider its purpose when doing so! Hope you enjoy!
