Custard Creams are a traditional and classic British biscuit (cookie in the US) . They are a type of sandwich biscuit filled with a creamy, custard-flavoured centre. Traditionally the filling is vanilla flavour . I wanted to do a variation with a much richer , buttery biscuit and a creamy lemon custard filling .
Tastes good after 7 days but really benefits from at least 14 days steeping
A creamy rich Banana Custard tart with Butterscotch and a hint of Vanilla . For the base i used TPA Pie Crust with INW Biscuit . I also added a touch of VT Butter Base for a richer buttery taste and to add mouthfeel to the recipe . VT Banana Custard has become a real favourite of mine . I do find that in bakeries the Banana can seem quite weak and so i have added some FLV Banana to help push it more to the front . I have added FA Custard Premium and FLV Vanilla Pudding to increase texture and mouthfeel . The Vanilla Pudding also helps with vanilla notes . I have added sweetener but this is optional depending on personal preference
A light and fresh Custard Tobacco and sweet Pear.
Smooth and light creamy custard ( WF Vanilla Ruyan Custard / VT Vanilla Cream ) with a touch of tobacco ( TPA RY4 Double ) . This is infused with a sweet freshness from the pear combination ( MB Shape Up Pear / FA Pear ) , boosted by the brightness from the apple ( FA Fuji Apple ) . Sweetener is optional to personal taste .
I really hope you can give this a try .
