Time for an origin story! Everyone has defining moments in their lives: learning to ride a bike without training wheels, a first love, a first heartbreak, graduating from college, a first child, experimenting with hallucinogenic drugs, etc. I would like to take this opportunity to share one of my defining moments as a mixer with ATF. One night, early December 2015, I was laying in bed and thinking about my concentrates (as is good and proper) and an idea to introduce INW Cactus to INW Grapefruit emerged out of wherever-the-fuck-ideas-come-from. I desired to push Cactus, so I chose 2% and a host of complimentary citrus flavors stepped forward and offered themselves to the cause. I was impelled to get immediately out of bed and rush to the kitchen so that I could put it together. After careful mixing, I anxiously shook what could be a dream or a nightmare come true. I stood, I dripped, I inhaled, I exhaled, and I just about died in ecstasy. After coming to the realization that I had truly connected with the most magical concentrate on the planet, I labeled the bottle 'Cactus Coitus.'

Broken down:

[INW Cactus/Grapefruit] - Main events. You won't get aloe or soap because of how Grapefruit asserts itself.
[Pineapple/Lemon Sicily/ Lime Tahity CP/ Mad Mix/ Tangerine] - Citrus mix to compliment the main pairing. I'm sure there is wiggle room for some substitutions here, but I have never desired to try. Mess with these and let me know how it works! Balance is key.
[CAP Sweet Mango/Sweet Strawberry] - These are flavors acting as sweeteners and serve to round the out some of the sharper elements that can show up in a citrus mix.

Shake and vape? Hell yeah.

Pear and Papaya make a pretty interesting and tasty combo. 1-3 days cure time for this one. More recipe notes over in the September recipe thread on r/DIYejuice.

Update: This ages nicely and gets sweeter over time.

Needs a week steep to properly shape up and smooth out. The idea here was to have cantaloupe inform mango with some creaminess among a simply delicious KB/TM combo. Add a bit of FLV cream or FA Fresh Cream if you want more of a creamy texture. Some TFA Vanilla Swirl would be pretty good here as well.

2

Sour apple with that jolly rancher style watermelon from Lorann makes for a ridiculously addictive shake and vape. I blew through my first bottle so fast that I almost forgot that I made it because I was immersed in other projects. I'm glad I decided to circle back to it a few weeks later because I feel this is too good to not share.

Banana and Cactus go very well together. Go figure! I start to love this at around the 3 day mark.

This mix has Green Apple smacking you in the face in the best way possible as it introduces itself to you before leaving you with a smooth, sweet banana/strawberry combo and a lingering apple that beckons you back. No steep time required, but it does hang together better after 3 days.

Adjust strawberry if you feel like it, but I like it here. For more banana, try adding FA Banana @ 1-1.5%

Honeysuckle, of course, is the very top note here. Blueberry and blackberry do a magical wood sprite dance in the background, where the background is a meadow illuminated by fireflies looking for a date. Its a warm summer evening where the air is sweet with libidinous anticipation and it is time to gather around the fire.
I included bilberry to add some musky aspects of that ever-so-sweet FW blueberry. The pear is present to help smooth the whole thing out (don't get me wrong, it still has a bit of a bite though and that is quite okay). The cactus is added to juice it all up a bit more (just as the right amount of booze can provide the right amount of lubrication for summer evening socialization). Plan the event a week in advance and the stars should align to gather this group. Just come prepared to have a good time and go with the flow!

Cactus and pear in a fruity cream custard...lol wut?!
Intense fruit flavor throughout
This is designed to be a proof of concept: Cactus can be a main flavor in a creamy custard vape. As such, change the specifics however you wish.
Give it 7-10 days to sink in that you actually decided to give this a try, evaluate your life's decisions, and enjoy before forgetting all of that nonsense.

"Tastes like sexually breaking the language barrier." - /u/ID10-T

Here, banana and papaya deliciously dance in the ambience of mango.

This is a grape-cactus that is as disturbing as it is delightful. I really can't say more about what it is 'supposed to taste like.' It is an experience unto itself.

Strap-On is more than a recipe. Thinking analytically, it is a category. Thinking paradigmically, it is an approach to recipe creation. Thinking politically, it is a platform that endears you to the public. Thinking existentially, it exemplifies being authentic. Thinking practically, it is a guarantee of results with minimal investment. Thinking romantically, a well-balanced strap-on will win anyone's heart and affections.

I like this recipe because it tastes like piña colada to me and I like piña coladas. Am I doing this right?

I'm rating this 5 stars with the disclaimer that I did not mix this exactly. Some subs were required. However, it is a damn fine concept and I appreciate the share. I will comment with my subs, but I really enjoyed the INW Melon/Cucumber/Spearmint pairing.

This took about 10 days to truly come together, but the result is truly satisfying. Thanks Cheeba!

Intense mango fruit flavor with a couple extras. I'm loving the marshmallow underneath. This is very nice.

I added a few drops of Koolada. After 4 days, this becomes amazing. Nice simple, delicious, and satisfying recipe.
User: Philosaphucker Score: 5 Entered: over 3 years ago
Okay look...I don't know what the hell this is, but it is great. This is beautiful and you are beautiful in your uniqueness. Keep being you, as this is truly a delight.

This is not exact but it is pretty damn close and totally awesome. I am enjoying it the most after 2 weeks. Great job Vurve and thanks for your hard work on this!
User: Philosaphucker Score: 5 Entered: over 3 years ago
This one is great. FLV Mango really comes to purpose here. The profile is balanced and it even has the cocktail texture. I tried this with a little bit of koolada as suggested.

This goes well with coffee. I never had the original, but I enjoyed this very much.

I used Forest Fruit at 2% and it worked very well. I like it best after a 3 week steep.

This a nice, tart blueberry lemonade. Just as advertised. Nice job!
User: Philosaphucker Score: 5 Entered: over 3 years ago
I love this after a month. So smooth and the melons just meld right into the cream. This goes great with a dark, malty beverage.

Decent shake and vape. Tastes really damn good after a week. Way to use up that Jungle Juice!
User: Philosaphucker Score: 5 Entered: over 3 years ago
I avoid sweetener like the plague. And upon initial mixing, I wasn't fond of the cotton candy. But then I tried this again after sitting for 10 days and I must say, this recipe pulls off a sour blue raspberry jolly rancher very well. The raspberry doesn't get lost or muted in the sour wizard and the sweeteners perform their functions beautifully to turn this into a sugary candy. Good stuff. Well done!

What the fuck determines stars anyway? I rated this 5 stars because I found this to be quite tasty, especially after a week. Additionally, I thought the guava + cream combo was a pretty cool idea. I like this best after a week. It isn't overly sweet and I enjoyed it with my morning coffee.

Yep. This tastes like something a chick would enjoy drinking. I honestly don't see much more to do here.

That image edit is amazing. The grackle looks very much at home there. But yes, koolada to taste.
User: Philosaphucker Score: 5 Entered: about 3 years ago
Tart, sweet, bright, and juicy. This is truly a delight. I like this right away, but mix up another bottle for later because you will definitely want to try the deeper sweetness that comes out as it ages.

I enjoy this very much. That CAP Juicy Orange/Sweet Tangerine combo is as close to OJ as I have seen thus far. The LA/TFA Banana Cream combo makes a nice base and interacts with the orange beautifully. That banana combo is always going to be light against stronger flavors, especially if TFA Marshmallow is on the scene, so I would add a bit of FA Banana if I wanted to crank that up. I hate TFA Pineapple compared to CAP Golden and INW Pineapple, but it works really fucking well here against the orange/nanner combo. When I smell the ever-so-familiar scent of TFA Pineapple when I drip this, I get moderately aroused by the contrast that's coming. Fuji does some work with integrating everything and was a good choice. Yeah I tried this with a light amount of Koolada and so should everyone else. People like to use the word 'balanced' a lot. I wouldn't use it here. The highs outweigh the lows by quite a margin, but that is okay because that is how the profile works. I can't say that I have ever had the source material, but this is a mighty fine vape that I am enjoying and that is all that matters.

This is listed as a S&V, but I have really enjoyed sampling it over the course of 4 weeks. Yes, this seems to be true to the profile and that is cool on its own, but there are some other things I would like to note. The ice cream is great. I may have fallen in love with INW Shisha Vanilla as well. I enjoy this recipe with coffee and heavier, darker, and sweeter beers. After a couple of weeks, the overall vape gets softer on the palate and the Honeysuckle blends through a bit more as if the ice cream has melted. The honeysuckle doesn't fade though...no, sir. The vanilla holds its own as well. Beautiful work.

This had a bit of a bite for me, initially but that calmed down after doubling the steep time. The coconut combo is excellent in the sense that it sticks the coconut milk aspect of the drink waaay out there. I feel this compliments the story well. Overall, a very enjoyable experience (even with all that self-awareness).

I blew through this pretty quickly. Making grapefruit an enjoyable vape for all day use is no small task. Thosr vanilla notes are a nice, rewarding contrast to the accurate representation of grapefruit. Very well done.

This one wasn't on my radar at first, as I am not too into bakery vapes. I was quite shocked to discover just how much I enjoyed this recipe. This excellent work at representing a TASTY blueberry danish. Not a danish topped with blueberry, but a blueberry danish. Phenomenal stuff, man.

I never had a St Germain cocktail, so I am coming at this with the perspective of someone who enjoys vaping interesting profiles. I love this use of FA Gin and it has pretty much sold me on Elderflower. The use of Koolada was spot on for a cocktail vape with these flavors. Using INW Pineapple as a texturizer is some genius level tom foolery. The overall smoothness of the vape kept me coming back. This is simply a great vape, thank you!

I had one difficuly with this one and that was finding a beer to pair it with. A session IPA is nice, but it takes away some of that luscious mouthfeel. I ended up going the route of a belgian blonde ale. Personal victory aside, I enjoy how smooth, juicy, weird, and wonderful this is.

When I first mixed and tasted Grack, I had a good laugh. I posted it in a very targeted manner in order to see what kind of reaction it would get and to prove a very specific point about the utility of using larger amounts of Cactus. I did NOT anticipate the number of people who would actually mix it, or even see it! This recipe is a bit more complex and a lot more polished. That 'purple-ness' is still there and the copious amount of Cactus is integrated with help from the minor florals and Boysenberry. The cherry finish, with help from the marzipan may be a more palatable alternative to the Meringue in the original for many. I had a discordant experience vaping this because it is so close to Grack until the finish. Better? Idk. More accessible and enjoyable to more vapers as a finished product? Yeah...I would say so. Well done. I'm glad that you are able to have your Grack your way and enjoy it =D

Can reviews be deleted? If you post a review on a recipe without mixing it or even talking about it, should it still exist as a review? Or is that censorship? 🤔 I feel that we should be able to say what we like, but if a comment isn't a review then there is no reason why it shouldn't be removed from the reviews category (practical considerations aside). Oh well. People and politicians suck as a general rule, unfortunately. Anyway, onto the recipe. This combo is good, just as I imagine the combo of cocaine and prostitutes on a yacht would make one feel. That powdered sugar begs to be brought to all kinds of citrus parties, ready to fuck shit up in the best way possible. I may be an addict now. Take a good, hard look at the motherfucking boat because that Blood orange champagne just joined my fleet and we are about to set sail. The only previously familiar flavor for me here is the papaya and I agree with how it was applied. Good mix, sir. Thanks for bringing this champagne and sugar to my attention.
