Submitted for Mixers Club February 2021 - Duets

This is a duet using Foment_life's Gruber Grape V2 and wolfwheeler's Saito.

Gruber Grape is the closest I've ever tried to a PB&J and Saito is a fantastic raspberry jelly donut. This may have been entirely too ambitious for my abilities, but I really wanted to try to jam the raspberry jelly from Saito into the Gruber Grape's PB sandwich.

I started just by stripping the grape jelly from Gruber and dropping the jelly from Saito in its place. This resulted in a mix that smelled great and tasted good on the hand, but the jelly didn't come through very well while vaping.

Well, now what? I didn't want to bump the raspberry up too much for fear of going floral. My mind wandered to Kittybit's Licorice Berry Much! This was the only time I've ever used CAP Jelly Candy, but I could definitely pick it out in that recipe. I decided to try to drop a little Jelly Candy in the mix to try and bring that raspberry jelly forward.

This worked, but also made everything far too sweet and kind of artificial at 1%. I played with the percentages of the Jelly Candy and sweetener until I was happier with the result. This is where I landed after 6 or 7 variations.

Tested at 63 watts on a C4 using a SS316L 28ga SFQ coil, 4mm I.D., 5 wraps coming in at .21 ohms.

Mixed at 70/30 using River VG/PG.
