I saw all the Dinner Lady Lemon Tart clones using CNV Lemon Cream Wafer along with other ingredients.

I decided to give it a test on its own at 7% and after 24 hours it's exactly the same as the original.

I did add super sweet at 0.5% but to me 0.5% only makes flavours pop without really adding any real sweetness.

I think everyone is overthinking this one and trying to combine ingredients when it seems to be just the one ingredient on its own.

Consider this a PSA.

this will leave your mouth tasting like you actually ate a lemon bar at a diner, in a good way. The lemon is softer and sweeter, much like you would expect from a lemon curd. The bakery note is quite nice, and really is the star of the show. This would be a bitesized lemon tart where the crust is thicker and the lemon curd is is a little shallower than the full size counterpart. For a single flavor it's really good. Never had the original Dinner Lady so I can't say how it compares, but I also have a hard time believing this alone warrants all the hype and clone attempts of the original. If I were starting from scratch for a full on lemon tart recipe this is where I would start, without a doubt. I just need one or two more millimeters of lemon curd on top and then... Well you could certainly pay a lot more for 30ml of this in a brick and mortar store than 30ml of the CNV Lemon Cream Wafer would cost.
