So watching the Great British Bake off - one of the challenges was to make a lemon treacle tart . Which is basically LOTS of golden syrup , bread crumbs, butter, egg yolks, a little lemon juice and zest and in a tart crust
I was intrigued and wanted to try it so we made one and I am in love!! Golden syrup is a major ingredient for this tart and it is not available in the US - so amazon to the rescue . One recipe I found called for a 1 1/2 LBS of golden syrup. Hence the name for the recipe
WF Lemon custard is a light lemon, with a touch of vanilla and a lovely silky custard mouth feel, the body fills out as it steeps. The soft mouth feel is just lovely . The lemon is a base to mid note so if you really want LEMON you will need to add to it
The combination of WF lemon custard and Lemon sour work well for lemon notes in this mix the lemon custard is a mild and sits in the front and middle of this mix with a the lemon sour bringing a lemon zesty at the exhale.
WF Pineapple candy is used low here to bring some of the citrus sweetness and support the curd like texture of the mix
Sugar cookie and pudding base are used to bring this mix together with the golden syrup and add some bakery texture . Pudding base has a starch like body that does not have any additional spice notes. Sugar cookie fills in this mix and add some texture.
Pie crust by OOO is a really nice simple plain pie crust that works on its own with out much support and is subtle in the mix at the exhale
Note: I do think that FA custard could be used here instead of WF lemon custard as it does have a light lemon note - but the silky mouth feel of this WF lemon custard is lovely and works really well . This is a Make your teeth hurt dessert so I did add .50% of Cap super sweet to mine - but it is not needed
Creamy vanilla pudding cup topped with a mixed red fruit in syrup and topped with crumbles of cookies.
Surprisingly good off the shake and only seems to get better with time. Haven't had much time to steep yet, but I imagine after it stabilizes in a week or two it will be even better than off the shake. But for a creamy vape off the shake this one turned out really well.
Vanilla pound cake dipped in milk!
Sweeten to taste.
I used the Charlie Noble's cereal milk trick of TFA Malted and Cap Vanilla custard with a touch of OOO Cream Milky Undertone.
Pound Cake and Yellow cake provide a nice mellow vanilla pound cake, cake batter, butter cream, and VT pudding base provide the butter accentuation and help fill in the body of the pound cake.
A cookies and cream recipe. It 's a fluffy buttery cookie with a thick cream on top.
The cookie consists of INW Biscuit stone, VT Biscuit Base, WF Brown Sugar Cookie SC and WF Shortbread Cookies SC. The INW Biscuit gives the base of the biscuit with its well-known buttery flavor. The WF Shortbread Cookies provides the very fluffy feel to the cookie, but to balance it out and tighten it a little I added a VT Biscuit Base. Brown Sugar Cookie gives bass to the stone with slightly sweeter notes like black sugar over darker dough (oatmeal - biscuit?).
The cream consists of TPA Bavarian Cream at 2% where it starts and gives caramel notes,, WF Caramel Butter, VT Pudding Base where it acts as a bridge with its biscuit notes, but also rounds the biscuit and cuts the very rough texture. Last but not least, VT Sweet Cream that slightly lightens the creams and spreads them to the recipe. VT Cookies and Cream is the perfect bridge for this kind of recipes.
After quite long time vaping the first version of the recipe, https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/126001 , I decided to give it another shot and aim for a reformulation and a fresh twist. I always liked cheesecakes and I tried to blend a Cheesecake with a Banoffee. Why not? So the return in Monkey Island is the birth of the Cheese'noffee. I 'd rather say it's not for a Three Headed Monkey, cause, bananas are not quite in the front line. Cheesecake notes and a rich caramel toffee win the game but the banana cream is holding up and works as the foundations of the recipe, alongside with the cookies.
An attempt at some Cracker Jacks.
I thought with all the crunchy stuff in here that this recipe would have more texture but I'm just not getting it. All in all this has really good flavor and is a nice Vape.
Everything here should be pretty self-explanatory layers of popcorn and layers of caramel. It also has a free nuts tossed ob the mix. This mix is deep and rich on my palette.
this one is for you fresh03.....i'm fairly new to mixing and this site......i think the recipe is close to spot on...i know , i got big one's for that claim , i made this one from a chef's view......biscuit,pudding base and sugar cookie add depth to the yellow cake, while the caramel butter adds a creamy richness to the three milks that drench the cake, top it all off with some vanilla whipped cream, add a little of your favorite strawberry.....enjoy.
