SWEET & TART LEMONS
on the inhale...
FEEL dat FIZZZZZ
and bask in the joy of a lingering sweetness...
✔︎ Ideal Steep Time: 3-5 Days
✔︎ Original Mix Ratio: VG:PG 80:20
I know, I know, there's 18.5% total flavouring here which is a lot to work with, right? And yes, I am aware of what year we are in. But you remember ID10-T's 'Viserion' (the iced blueberry?) - which has something like 19% - and yet, here you are having survived long enough to make it to here. Remember this, my good friends, before you discount this recipe.
Plus, it's 80:20 and just look at those additives... I can assure you there were many trials and countless errors along the way. This recipe would not get to see the light of day if I wasn't ok with where it's at.
Since age 16 I have always drank sugar-free drinks whenever I can. Yes that's me, the one ordering the big mac, large fries, chocolate sundae and a diet coke. I don't have anything against sugar (anymore) but it's just one of the unnecessary habits I've kept alive over the years.
Present day now and these "limited edition" cans of "V" energy drink (Australia) appeared and I fell in love with the flavour. Yep, SUGAR AND ALL. Twenty-something grams per 250ml can in this stuff. Suddenly, it was not so important to go sugar-free.
I'm studying from home in lockdown so you see, these are like delicious little "cans of motivation" on the days when I just can't be bothered going to my zoom class for hours on end.
Point is, I'd been drinking WAY way too many of these and basically inhaling sugar by the pound so I figured, why don't I turn this into a VAPE JUICE?
And so I did.
I was experimenting and didn't think this was any good at first so I didn't note the recipe (idiot) but after a few days steep it was right on. I have tried to recreate it as best I can and this is where I'm at. Sweet-tooths (teeth(s)?) of the world, rejoice.
TL;DR: I made an energy drink vape juice
◦ LB Pink Lemonade ◦
Is effectively the foundation of the recipe, starting us in the right direction and used as a base to work on. It has a nice "pinkness" to it (perhaps a little strawberry in there) that sits underneath the raspberries and lemons we're about to add.
◦ INW Lemons Kick ◦
It's sahhh fizzy.. Get on this! It has an amazing ability to produce the FIZZ of a carbonated drink. It has a lemonade type vibe to it which is why it's here, working as an energy drink instead of using actual "Energy Drink" flavours.
◦ CAP Juicy Lemon / TPA Sour ◦
Juicy Lemon brings the JUICY LEMON. It's perfect in recreating the lemon in the actual drink. It's too sweet to be totally realistic but too realistic to be candied and is here for its vibrant and zesty lemon flavour.
◦ TPA Raspberry (Sweet) / INW Shisha Raspberry / CAP Raspberry V2 ◦
I've mixed up the raspberries here. This is based on ID10T's raspberry trinity and I tried it but it's just not the right fit here. I used INW Shisha as I find it to be a bit more syrupy than Raspberry (Malina). I used CAP Raspberry (v2) over FA's Raz (Berryl) because it's brighter, sweeter and the FA offering was just a tad too realistic and earthy in an energy drink.
◦ CAP SS / TPA Cotton Candy (10% EM) ◦
Originally, I used FLV Sweetness but CAP is the better option here I feel. The CC seem to enhance the overall flavour saturation and lift up the raspberries a little while the SS brings the typical fizzy drink or soda-type sweetness. I ended up @ 1% SS but thought that might end up too sweet for some.
◦ WS-23 ◦
You can omit this but it seems to work better with it. I really like my WS-23 and I added it at 1.5%. I see closer to 1% or less in other recipes so I've added it lower for this reason and becasue it has a tendency to mute the flavours at higher percentages on some devices. Please add in line with your preferences :)
SUBS / Other Changes
◦ Sub CAP Juicy Lemon with JF or any other sweet, tart, juicy & fairly realistic lemon. Something I haven't yet tried is VT's Sour Lemon. I've got that coming in this week and will see how well this subs in place of both CAP and TPA Sour.
◦ You could sub INW Shisha Raspberry with INW Raspberry (Malina)
◦ Sub brands with additives used here e.g. CC, SS, Sour, WS-23, just double check your %'s :)
I try to list subs where I can so if I haven't recommended one it's probably because
a)I haven't tried it, tested it, or maybe even tasted it!
b) There isn't one (or) I just haven't heard of it, or
c) It's taken me some time to find the flavours I REALLY enjoy and either the flavour is essential to the recipe &/or there's no valid reason in existence you should ever sub this and you really should just get it.
I'm only human.. tell me where there's ones I've missed.
I'm relatively new to this and want to learn more, feedback/comments are always welcome!
Lastly, just in case you use both (ELR) and (ATF) for different reasons like I do, Here's the link to the same recipe over there:
If you mix this up, or some variation of it, please drop a comment &/or review below and let us know how it went!
The smell of this juice instantly took me back to a vacation to Cancun, where every other mixed drink seemed to be blue and delicious. Note that this is no liquor flavored vape. This is a Ginger Ale first and foremost with a kick of sweet and sour blue raspberry and a hint of lime.
You might want to back off on the TFA Ginger Ale by a percent. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the flavor and like it loud.
A slightly different take on a chewy kiwi candy. My current ADV.
Believe it or not, I just woke up one day and had this recipe in my head. I immediately grabbed my supplies and got to work. After mixing up a few batches, this is what I landed on. I'm already halfway through a 120 ml bottle of this version and still loving it, which is rare for me. Usually I get bored of flavors after one to two days.
If you leave the kiwi out, you also get a great base for any chewy candy profile to pair with other fruits.
By far my favorite kiwi. It is also (like many Inawera fruits) slightly candy-like and fits the recipe like a glove.
TPA DX Marshmallow:
Taste-wise this is the perfect marshmallow to achieve the "chewy" aspect of the candy profile. Imho there is no debate in using any other marshmallow flavoring here. Also steeps quicker than regular marshmallow flavorings.
A great support for the marshmallow. You could probably achieve a similar effect by combining butterscotch ripple with meringue or something like that, but why go through the hassle when Molinberry's Milkshake can be used like a one-shot for that. Also it is more potent than most Molinberry flavorings, so no more than 0.5% is needed.
FA Jammy/Candy Wizard:
This is the glue that holds the whole thing together. It works so well in here, it almost feels like cheating.
Also a vital part. Just keep in mind when using other fruits in this recipe to bumb them up a bit in percentage, because malic acid is known to mute flavors a bit. But this works in our favor when it comes to the chewy candy part, because it keeps the TPA DX Marshmallow and MB Milkshake in check, so that it doesn't taste like a fruity marshmallow milkshake in the end.
It's okay as SNV, but really shines the more time it has to steep. I recommend at least 7 days.
Have a nice vape!
Looking for a recipe to use some blueberry's as I steer away from the deserts on this one.
Wanted to go a route where this recipe used simple ingredients.
This recipe has a solid top note of (CAP) Blueberry that you taste almost until the end. The mid notes of pitaya adds that tropical taste to the overall vape. Finally the (FA) Lemon Sicily to add a little sweet and sour lemony taste on the exhale.
Pretty new to crafting my own recipes from scratch so let me know what you think!
This is my first recipe and my try to make a delicious ice tea citrus!
For me this already tastes really nice and i hope you can enjoy it aswell :)
Add WS-23 or Kolada how you like it. I like it REALLY cold so just dosate as you need :)
Also its really low in flavour after mixing. After about 4-8 hours it already got a nice taste. I recommend let it steep for atleast 1 day.
Surprisingly delicious cherry cola bottle gummy. The fusion of cola gummy candy and flv's new cola is surprisingly delightful. Tart cherry by cap and black cherry by TFA make a slightly syrupy, non-medical cherry that completes the synergy. Vanilla marshmallow by flv is great for a little extra mouthfeel and to give that coke some much needed vanilla.
People in D / A / CH most likely know and love "Der Grüne" by Pfanner, which is a Cactus-Lemon Green Ice Tea.
After around 6 Iterations, this recipe comes close to 99% of the orginal.
TFA Sweet Tea builds the tea base that is rounded up to a Green Tea base with FA Green Tea and FA Bergamot.
INW Cactus and CAP Lemon Sicily are providing the Cactus-y, Lemon-y note that is slightly sour with some help of TFA Sour.
SuperSweet and WS-23 are additives of course, but are a must for the original taste and coldness of an Ice Tea.
Steep Time: Can be SNV'd but it is recommended to let it steep for at least 3 days for the Cactus to settle. The recipe reaches its full potential after 5+ days.
Okay, okay, it is a Kanzi in the picture (for the purists!) ;P
ADV for my buddy, likes Fuji apples.
Made it refreshing, Apple Fuji (FA) is great and Two Apples (INA) give more body, Lime Tahity Cold Pressed (FA) rounds it all. I used the new Coolada (INW) and it is a beast! Not sure about Sour, will play with it a while...
