If you're a Grape lover like me give this a try! An authentic Grape soda recipe with layers and depth. Work in progress for a very long time and I'm glad to release my very first finished recipe. Shake and vape certified but best after 3-4 days.
Since I started mixing I've been trying to perfect this to my tastes. I wanted something that tasted like those KA Grape drinks or Grape Fanta. It's not there, it's close but it satisfies the grape thirst.
I started out relying on INW Grape for the main Grape note but I it always took over and wasn't the same profile I wanted. I then turned to TFA Grape juice with INW Grape supporting but again this came off too perfumy and wasn't the right profile. From there I brought in bilberry to add some darkness, this brought me much closer to what I wanted but that Grape still wasn't right.
After buying all the grapes I could find I brought in WF Sweet and sour purple drink as the main Grape ingredient and this was it man, this was what I wanted to base this recipe around. It has an authentic Grape soda taste with the right amount of sweetness. I used this alongside TFA Grape juice to carry the recipe with a touch of INW Grape to add that artificial candy Grape note and FA Concord grape for little boost of authentic Grape to collectively give a well rounded Grape note.
I chucked in some FW Lemonade to lift everything up and add brightness to the mix.
FA Pear to add a touch of juicyness while giving the recipe a different dimension.
TFA Dragonfruit purely for its emulsifying abilities to give everything a stir.
Lastly Marshmallow, this acts as a smoothing agent while adding more sweetness.
A juicy blend of candied berries with a smooth sour watermelon undertone.
I mix this at 60/40 and 2mg of nicotine. Try this mix out and let me know what you think. I am open to suggestions and tweaking this recipe. This is about the 4th version of my first layered mix and the percentages might seem a bit high to some, but given a week or two to mellow out this juice is a really sweet, satisfying vape.
The gum is one most of us know and enjoy. It is a staple of most of our youths. I present to you Bubbilicious Grape.
The goal was a well known candy using Cap & TPA ingredients. I feel that this delivers on the demands while being a superb bubblegum. It did not come easy there were many, many tests of this rounds recipe. It is with confidence I can say this is as most realistic to grape bubblicious has I would ever be able to get. So if by some chance you have not had this candy it has the following characteristics: fluffy, almost creamy but not dairy, grape that is smooth not sour, sweet, gum notes, powdery marshmallow chew vs. a traditional crisp bite. The ingredients were replaced with different ideas including EM at high doses, Sweetener ranges of 0-1.5%, Grape going from 3-6%, Cap Jelly Candy from 1-3%, etc. It took a number of tries to reach what I feel will hit all the right spots for any grape gum addict out there.
There are two parts to this delicious gum:
The grape side which is made with a combination of the grape juice, sweetener and vanilla swirl
The gum side which is made with the bubble gum, marshmallow, as well as sweetener and vanilla swirl.
Bubble Gum CAP
To me this is the best starting point for a good store gum, but as you work with it you find it has some limitations. I did have tpa gum but it just was nasty to me.
So I chose Capella because it gives that perfect whipped gum smell and taste but it is missing the fluff experience from those square gum clouds. Alone it fades quick and can't hang, with a few layering ingredients it turns more into the gum we are seeking. It was put at this range to stay in the mix while not ruining the mix. I feel it hits the mark at this %
Grape Juice TPA
This is the only gum grape, period. The rest are not the same as that fake grape that we love from the grape gum. Mixing this and bubble gum just give off two notes that don't work as a finished recipe. Over 4% and it was all grape, under 3% and bubblegum took over in testing. This range gives it that pop at first of grape but then lets it slide into the middle just like actual gum would.
This was selected for mouthfeel and gum layering. The Cap Bubblegum needed multiple layers to make it. It was necessary for the gummy mouth effect and the marshmallow adds a few layers of sweet to the mix. This marshmallow is far better than Capella which has a syrupy note that wouldn't help our gum stay on track for the targeted flavor.
I dialed the sweet back multiple times to hit the gum sweet but then stop. This was very difficult in hitting a gum sweet while not being unbearable for an adv.
Vanilla Swirl TPA
This finally tied it together. It was the secret magic ingredient to give that full flavor grape it needed. I would have not felt so good about this mix if this beautiful idea hadn't come along. It doesn't even add the vanilla as much as fix the one noted grape and bring the whole thing together.
This has been an amazing round and thanks for the chance to play. I hope you feel that this hits the mark for a perfect bubblegum like the days of baseball in the dugout eating the whole pack of this stuff.
Really love my sour skittles but you can feel your teeth rotting away as fast as you eat them so wanted to nail a vape that gave me a healthier option
I wanted to have it so you got a hint of all the top notes left in your mouth after you vaped it !
After 7 revisions an a big juggling act im really pleased how it vapes ! You get a different taste as you vape an a nice sweet mixed fruit exhale thats sweet an kinda refreshing !
Had alot of problems with that sour after twang I tried all the usual suspects TPA sour 20% , FA Sour wizard , Malic acid an citric acid as well as trying various citrus concentrates an few lemonades in lower %s
CAP ITALIAN LEMON SICILY / FA LIME TAHITY - These 2 i wanted for there citrus sour taste that are a main note in the sweets ! Kept them high to be an over riding taste in the vape ! The lemon is a bangin candy lemon perfect for this an FA lime is a great fit to the real taste of sour skittles 4 % an 1.75 worked out about right ! so there my green an yellow skittles !
TPA GRAPE CANDY / INW BLACKCURRANT - Purple i wanted to combine these 2 as i wanted that back end to taste of the INW concentrate as i get that from the originals ! Grape candy is a sweet easier flavour that fits on most berry fruits an just adds another dimension to it ! The INW is a strong one so didnt need to overdo the % on that compared to the Grape
FW BLOOD ORANGE - Tried adding other oranges in but FW is such a good bitter orange thats pretty sweet an zingy so felt that it could hold its own on team orange ! It gives that bitter grapefruit just in the middle of the vape an as its not hugely strong lays nice with the other citrus notes
CAP &JF SWEET STRAWBERRY - Love these 2 together the candy / sweety JF is bangin an cap just plays well with them adding a nice sweetness needed for the actual sweets but also pulls the other fruits in together an a slightly higher %
FA SOUR / MALIC ACID - Tried alot of combos but to get tongue curling sour you have to add so much of them it just mutes the shit out of all these delicate fruits ! Settled on 1 % FA which i find much better than TPA an .5 of malic acid (do not overdo this one as it mutes the shit out of it an ruins the recipe i found )
TPA MARSHMALLOW / ETHYL MALTOL - just adds that overall sweetness an the center part of the skittle which is kinda sweet but tasteless an the EM rounds it all together plus pulling a bit of extra sweetness From the fruits
Job done an hopefully some of you
TASTE THE RAINBOW ;-)
