🏷️ Soft Baked Golden Cookies topped with Matcha Green Tea Cream and Fresh Berries.
This recipe is inspired by the painting “Starry Night over the Rhone” by Vincent van Gogh. I was moved by Van Gogh’s bold use of contrasting color (vibrant blues, buttery yellows, golds, and greens), rich texture, and expressive style. I wanted to pay homage to Van Gogh by creating a recipe that expressed the same qualities.
Top: Matcha Cream, Esai Tea, and Jade Tea combine to create a velvety soft, smooth, and milky matcha green tea cream; with notes of a mild culinary grade matcha, savory black tea, and lightly green and crisp green tea.
Sandwiched inside this fragrant cream are mild notes of freshly picked juicy bilberries. The amalgamation of Bilberry, Blueberry Extra (SL) (CAP) and Blueberry Extra (TPA) makes for a sweet, tart, and natural Bilberry flavor.
Base: Married into the cream, sits a nutty golden cookie. Almond Cookie, Beer Nuts, and Biscuit were combined to make this cookie base. The subtle notes of almond, walnut, and dry roasted peanuts also help to crisp up the edges of the soft baked cookie. Not only does the cookie add texture to the overall recipe, it’s a nice nutty and buttery contrast to the brighter teas and juicy bilberries.
Reporter: "Despite Tony being imprisoned, Tony's Revenge's sales have continued to rise, leaving a sour taste in the mouths of other cereal manufacturers....."
An arm rises with a remote from the couch to power down the television.
Cap grimaces, disgusted by the broadcast he'd just viewed.
The last year had been anything but easy. A failed marriage, Alcohol dependency, and now being forced to watch his life's work suffer to the likes of Tony the Tiger.
"That fucking animal," he mutters. "That half breed asshole thinks he's won, well..." He takes a long pull from his beer bottle, smacking his lips with a crooked evil grin. "I've got news for him".
He rises, grunting from the years of wear on his decrepit bones. He lumbers across the room.
Sliding newspapers across the kitchen table reveals a corded home phone. With little hesitation he snatches it from it's cradle. He immediately plucks away at the numbers on the keypad with moderate intensity, the same wry crooked smile pursed on his lips.
The line rings but perhaps half a second when the other side of the line answers with little more than a breathing sound.
"Hello", mutters Cap. "Are.. Are you there?"
"Old man." The voice on the line states, void of any sign of emotion.
"Yes," continues Cap. "I would.. Like to place an, an order."
"Sure." The other line states coldly. "What sort of infestation are you referring to?"
The old man smiles broader now, seething with malicious glee.
"A tiger." Cap says with entirely too much satisfaction.
The line goes dead. Cap stares at it blankly for a moment, the same malicious expression stuck to his face. Placing it back into it's cradle he lifts a paper from the table and brings it closer for further examination.
An article displaying a smiling Tony the Tiger is sprawled across the front, Cap's smile tranforms into a face taut with hatred.
"Say Goodbye," Cap seeths, "This is going to be grrrrrr-eeaaaaat." He laughs maniacally.

The Blueberry Custard to end all blueberry custards. Or is it a Blueberry Cream? Wait, it kind of tastes like a Cheesecake, too! This mix plays tricks with your mind. I've even heard some getting waffle from it. FW Blueberry, TPA Blueberry, and FA Bilberry complete the trinity, along with INW Lemon Mix to really drive that blueberry forward.
INW Custard, INW Yes We Cheesecake, TFA Bavarian Cream, TFA Sweet Cream, TFA Marshmallow and DIYFS Holy Vanilla all combine to give a well rounded creamy as hell custardpiecakewaffle.
Lemon creamy goodness with hints of blueberry.
I wanted to create this as the picture depicts. A creamy desert. Lemon ice cream like but not custard. I invisioned milk and heavy whipping cream based home made lemon ice cream with a little blueberry drizzle. To me the blueberry would only be a slight taste because it’s only a slight drizzle and mostly a semi sweet heavy whipped lemon ice cream base. I used black currant to keep the blueberries bright and the combination of blueberry extra and blueberry wild is a light blueberry combination that isn’t too much on the candy side I added a LA Lemonade because it’s a candy lemon flavor. I used tfa custard because it isn’t as vanilla heavy or as eggy as the other options. I enhanced it with cheesecake graham crust for texture and FA Custard for the Creamy lemon zest notes I added Vanilla Gelato because it has a real good ice cream type cream notes. A touch of yogurt brings a thickness to the ice cream without adding egg notes that heavy custard would bring. I have no idea what brought a buttery note to the table but there is definitely a buttermilk flavor in this mix.
Sweeten to taste. I personally think it would be good anywhere between 0.50% to 1.0% depending on your sweet tooth. (I used 0.5% FW sweetener)
