My attempt at a corn bread pudding type recipe. I wasn't going for a clone but something that gave that sweet corn and cream taste. 3% of OOO Corn Bread used for obvious reasons, it has a sweet wet corn bread smell to it. I couldn't find any AP to support the corn note so I went with 2% CAP Cereal 27 which worked out well with its sweet and flakey type taste/texture. I know the OG Corn Bread Pudding lists a maple note, again not a flavor I had so I improvised with JF Dulce De Leche which has a carmelized sugar not to it I felt would work well. LB Vanilla Ice Cream is just great but its use here is to add buttery creaminess and the vanilla note. To boost the creaminess and thick texture I went with INW Yes, We Cheesecake and INW Custard. This is great right off the shake but a few days of steeping will help out the creams.
Deez Banana Nutz
This is the first in a line of dessert vapes I've been working on inspired by the craze over the Country Clouds line (which I've never even tried by the way) but I happen to enjoy all of those flavor profiles. TFA BNB is obviously doing most of the heavy lifting here but to me it doesn't have enough of a banana note, and I didn't want TOO much banana that would overpower the mix. I also wanted the banana to have that creamy almost custard like texture of a real banana. I also like my BNB more on the "cake" side of things but not so much so that it tastes batter-like, hence the use of FW yellow cake (as polarizing as it may be.) One-on-One Cornbread is just an all-around EXCELLENT flavor as it's got that grainy texture you'd associate with something like this and in a mix that doesn't lend itself to an actual cornbread, there's nothing about it distinctly "corn" so I think it adds an awesome texture that pairs well with the TFA. I initially was going to go with VCV1 by CAP but opted to go with TFA instead as it's a little more buttery, less oily and less eggy. Although this recipe could benefit from a touch of egg, I wanted to keep it more on the dryer side of things.
GIVE THIS ONE TIME TO BLOOM. I like to do overnight crockpot steeps on most of my juices (just set to warm) and this recipe was pretty good off the shake, but once that Vanilla Custard settles in and the slight runt vibe of Banana Cream mellows out to a softer more realistic banana, it's pretty delicious, in my humble opinion of course.
Sweetener optional, I chose to leave it out as I like this as is. Season to taste as they say.
Hope you enjoy!
Delicious cinnamon and caramel coffee cake! FW Caramel Cinnamon Roll is the main cinnamon note with cap cinnamon sugar backing it up and ooo cornbread providing additional rich sweet cakey body. The corn note in OOO Cornbread isn't very strong so it gets covered up easily and just leaves a sweet, dense cake behind.. Flv Caramel provides the brown sugar note needed here.
This is a recipe I made after learning that ID10-T had never tried an awesome chocolate cake vape. It's the first official utilization of my cake layer, which is 2.5% WF Angel Cake, 1.5% OOO Corn Bread, and 1% JF Yellow Cake. Then I added LB Lava Cake to bend it into chocolate cake territory, FLV Coconut to add some serious richness and depth to the chocolate note, and finally VT Chocolate Mousse to add the finishing touch of well... chocolate mousse.
Edit: Adjusted FLV Coconut to .25% because Dave was right.
After a week of developing and roughly 30 different versions, I am confident this is a solid remix of Country Clouds Corn Bread Puddin’. There was a profile that was missing in every possible combination in previous versions. At first I went the popular TPA Kettle corn route to recreate the corn bread and wasn’t quite there. It was adding to much of a sweet dry popcorn note to the mix and not really giving that corn bread texture in the commercial version. I tried Flv popcorn, LA buttered popcorn, Tfa movie theater, Fw buttered popcorn the list goes on... even FA corn lol which pretty much canned corn. So I figured I needed to pretty much build the corn bread profile from the ground up and try to keep it simple and not complex from a commercial e-liquid stand point, thinking what would they use. Now this is where the tricky part comes into play “that underlying missing profile. Of course Acetyl Pyrazine is there but how much? Starting at .50% and combined with FA Break Fast Cereals seemed to work well in the first few mix’s but still was falling short. So doing some research on a specific compound Cyclotene I felt this was key. Cyclotene is found in a lot of concentrates we use but in low amounts but loaded with other compounds causing me to push a flavor to extremes and cause muddled off notes or muting. This is where Tpa Maple syrup comes in. It’s loaded with Cyclotene. This is what ties in the corn bread base. Now that’s out of the way, back to the cornbread. These are the failed attempts of the bread imo. FA breakfast cereal, Cap Cereal 27, Tpa Crunchy cereal. These were paired with some type of corn flavor and various creams or even pushing AP to its limits. So back to research still missing that profile. I needed a more buttery slight cream AP texture. This is where Tpa Cheesecake Graham comes in. I know right?!? But It has everything I need in texture, slight butter, sweetness, AP, a little cream and guess what else?? Cyclotene. So the Ap, CCGC and maple syrup/Ooo cornbread make up the cornbread. The Ooo corn bread gives it even more texture corn sweetness. Now the keeping it simple. I don’t get much pudding in the original just more of a heavy vanilla cream. Tpa Vanilla custard. This flavor is also key that pulls everything together to give the vape more body and nice vanilla accent to replicate the so called “pudding”. Don’t forget the sweetener!! Yes 1 percent to keep it authentic to the commercial version. Also keep in mind the AP is pushed to .75% I wouldn’t go over this!! it just takes over and mutes. You get plenty more from the CCGC. Off the scale you will taste the custard pushing through a little on the ass end of the vape. Giving it 24 hours it will homogenize and won’t be as noticeable. There is a lot more notes on other profiles in this but I tried to keep as condensed as possible. Enjoy this one.
My version of Southern Cuisine combined at its finest. Corn Bread and Butter Pecan's, combine together to make the best of Southern Cuisine, Posh Pudding.
This is using Fresh03 custard base and One on One Cornbread with Cap 27 to help with the texture. One on One Butter Pecan is used, it has a very authentic pecan taste. To add to the taste, I use FW Salted Caramel and Butterscotch.
Butterscotch Banana Bread with a twist.
FW Butterscotch for candyish butterscotch sweetness. FW Banana Purée & FA Banana is a great banana combo that mixes well with the butterscotch. OOO Cornbread for that bread/cake flavor. The slight corn note layers nice beside the banana. TPA Acetyl Pyrazine gives it that grittyness and pushes the corn flavor a bit. WF Walnut for a sweet buttery walnut accent that sits in the background. FA Meringue for more sweetness and more mouthfeel. PUR Super Sweet at 0.50% is where I like it, but I like it sweet. Any sweetener may be subbed for PUR. As a lot of my recipes the sweetener may be added at a lower percentage or omitted and it will still be tasty. I understand not everyone has a sweet tooth the size of Texas as I do. It could go off the shake, but I find it a bit harsh and the layers form better the longer it steeps. After a week it is good and after two it is 👍👍
Corn Bread (OOO) / Pear (FW) / Pudding Base (VT) / Walnut SC (WF) / Sugar at will
Awesomely delicious! It's so good that I have to share it with others. I've made this one on top of another great recipe of mine - Brown Pears ( http://tjek.nu/r/jNmK ) but Duess is far more delicate.
Why that much sweetener? I like it sweet. You can add as much as you want, it's not chiseled in stone...
I wanted to try a different approach with this recipe. I tried all the cornbread recipes I could find, and most of them are really good, but they all just remind me of a standard cream or custard vape with different corn highlights. What I really wanted was something more focused on the cornbread experience. It had to be moist and rich on the inside, slightly crumbly, with a lightly crispy crust and just a touch of sweetness to balance everything out. I borrowed elements from Jennifer Jarvis and fresh03's cornbread recipes for the framework, added Taro for more body, boosted the butter and AP to enhance the main profile, then tweaked everything until the smell and taste were just right.
Overall, I am extremely happy with this recipe. It has that craveable factor that makes you want to hit it over and over again. I found myself going through 20ml and 30ml bottles like they were samples.
I hope you enjoy my Buttered Cornbread recipe. Feel free to post any feedback you have, and if any tweaks make it better for you, please let me know.
NOTE This recipe HAS to steep for at least a week. Otherwise, the only thing you taste is Buttered Zeppola. Everything really comes together after 2-3 weeks when the Zeppola tones down and the corn starts shining through.
The term clone, invented by J. B. S. Haldane, is derived from the Ancient Greek word κλών klōn, "twig", referring to the process whereby a new plant can be created from a twig.
This is as close as I wish to get to Country Clouds Corn Bread. It is more corn than corn bread.
OOO Corn Bread, TPA Kettle corn and Cereal27 keep it kettle corn with a hint of buttered corn in the centre
OOO Corn bread and Devon Cream create the pudding/cream body
Supersweet @ .5% is sweet enough for me
