Blue Team's Recipe from Mixer Showdown #2 on the DIY_ejuice Discord.
We stole the candy from Candy Mountain and stuffed it into a cupcake. We made sure to bury red team in the process. Since we're team BLUE... blueberry!
JF Yellow Cake makes the base for the cupcake. VT Yogurt Drink makes the impromptu frosting loaded with delicious Blueberry from FA Bilberry and FW Blueberry. VT Fizzy Sherbet brings the pop rocks! All that backed by some lemon to brighten the Blueberry from VT Yogurt Drink and VT Fizzy Sherbet.

Jewish Apple Cake
A dense/moist brown sugar cinnamon apple cake.
Even though I came from a Christian family, this cake is something my mother made at least once a month. Sadly, since my youth I haven't found a recipe that comes close to matching her expertise with this marvelous dessert. I was fortunate enough to not only have a mother who was a great cook, but also an expert baker!
For my base, RF COFFEE CAKE was the obvious choice. This flavoring is not the most potent(probably because it is VG-based), so a high percentage was needed. Within this flavoring, you will taste cooked apple, cinnamon, and brown sugar "crumblies". It still needs help though, to become full flavored.
FLV APPLE FILLING & FLV APPLE filled out the cooked fruit/cinnamon layer quite nicely here. I tried FLV Apple Pop before this combination but found it didn't quite do what I wanted it to do. This doesn't mean it would not be a perfect additive in any other baked apple dessert. I just found that it didn't quite work here as I wanted.
JF YELLOW CAKE & JF BISCUIT complete the cakey base of this recipe. This is a very good combination at these percentages.
If you want, you can crank up the CAP SUPER SWEET to about 0.5%. I can't stand this flavoring too high...which is why I kept it relatively low here. Too much sucralose smothers little nuances afaic.
Of course, this is a potent enough mix to be vaped fresh. But I prefer it from 5-7 days plus.
STEEP: 5-7 DAYS

This is a Swedish style Cinnamon Apple Cake, which is usually made with yellow cake and served with vanilla custard.
Don't think the flavors needs much explaining, but I'll do it briefly.
FA Fuji crisp, jucy and very realistic apple flavor, at 2% is just the right amount to get that feel of small chopped apple pieces in the cake.
CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl and JF Yellow Cake serves as the cake base, with CDS bringing the cinnamon spice that we all know and love pairs beautifully with apple.
DFS Holy Vanilla is a an amazing rich, creamy and eggy vanilla flavor that emulates the traditional vanilla custard and blends perfect together with the whole mix.
Best give it a few days of steep to let the yellow cake work it's magic, so you get that great fluffy cake texture.
CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl v2 can be used as a sub for the v1, both taste real good in this recipie. If you don't have JF Yellow Cake, FW can be used instead, even tho I wouldn't recommend using that flavor at all.
DFS Holy Vanilla can be subbed for FA Custard Premium at 1%, it will be slightly different but not much really, it's just as good imo.
To get the real "fika" experience, this is best vaped together with a cup of coffee.
Octarine, also known as the Colour of Magic or the King Colour. It is visible only to wizards and cats. It is generally described as a sort of greenish purple yellow colour. The only time non-wizards can see it is when they close their eyes; the bursts of color are octarine.
This recipie was inspired by @foment_life, who wisely said "I do love the idea of just toying around with a bunch of things that are just individually tasty and seeing what shakes out in the end."
Well, this is the result of that.
Sagamore REMIX... again.
Sagamore by Adirondack vapors (along with their delicious chai flavored McKinley or Saratoga, their rendition on the tried and true strawberries and cream) was the stuff that got me off of smokes when I got my first vape. Since I've gotten into DIY, I've been cloning and remixing these 3 often. Sagamore is simply a RY4 with a bit of cupcake, creams, cinnamon, maybe graham cracker. In this remix, I forego the cracker, the extra creams, and the obvious choices like TFA RY4 Double, CAP CDS, or CAP Vanilla Cupcake. Instead, I went in a different direction but aimed to keep it simple. Think I struck gold. A thick, smooth caramel, touch of tobacco that cuts through all the heft, a nice cakey base to build it all upon, with a hint of that good ol' cinnamon tickle.
This one's solid, cost effective, and easily an ADV or big-batch worthy. Give it a go :)
Cardamom rose gingerbread......
On VU, we have a DIY challenge going right now.....I was looking for an idea that was unique and interesting. My idea wasn’t chosen, but I was intrigued.....so I mixed it.
Caps Gingerbread was my first choice, but it needs help in the cake department so I went with JF Yellow Cake......mostly because it happened to be sitting on my desk. JF Bavarian for the creamy, dark sweetness and mouthfeel. FA Rose and Cardamom because it’s the only rose/cardamom I have.....used em low so they didn’t take over. FA Meringue mostly for the sweetness.
Off the shake, everything was in your face. 10 days later, all has mellowed quite nicely. Cardamom gingerbread on the inhale, a nice light rose on the exhale. Yum.
This is a recipe I made after learning that ID10-T had never tried an awesome chocolate cake vape. It's the first official utilization of my cake layer, which is 2.5% WF Angel Cake, 1.5% OOO Corn Bread, and 1% JF Yellow Cake. Then I added LB Lava Cake to bend it into chocolate cake territory, FLV Coconut to add some serious richness and depth to the chocolate note, and finally VT Chocolate Mousse to add the finishing touch of well... chocolate mousse.
Edit: Adjusted FLV Coconut to .25% because Dave was right.
The modern baba au rhum (rum baba), with dried fruit and soaking in rum, was invented in the rue Montorgueil in Paris, France, in 1835 or before. Today, the word "baba" in France and almost everywhere else outside eastern Europe usually refers specifically to the rum baba. I I decided to give it a bit of a twist and use a coconut cream custard with it that adds a nice top note
On the inhale you get a sweet coconut note that transitions to a dark sweet syrup cake on the exhale and a bit of a Malibu rum finish .
This was mixed for the Daytime franks show - mixin in the kitchen episode 41
RUM BABA and YELLOW CAKE create the cake base for this mix. I found the cake note in the WF to be a bit lost in this mix and I need some ore moist yellow cake So I added JF yellow makes a nice yellow cake that us useful here
For the dark syrup notes I used RAISIN RUM and GOLDEN SYRUP it makes for a nice dark sweet syrup with just a tad of a a dried raisin note which is perfect in this mix. The rum note in this mix is a dark slightly spiced rum with a minimal booze note
COCONUT CUSTARD and SWEET COCONUT makes a wonderful creamy coconut filling that holds up to the dark notes in this mix and sits through this mix. While it is called a custard the steep time is VERY short and provides a thick creamy body with out an egg note
NOTES/ SUBS if you want more of a rum note you can add WF coconut rum in place of flv sweet coconut but I like the creamy body I am getting from the FLV sweet coconut and did not want to add any more rum to this mix. You can also sub FA Jamaican rum 1% for FLV rum raisin for that dark sweet spiced note. FW Yellow cake can sub for JF at 1%
