About 95% my mixing life all I have worked on is bakery/dessert style recipes, usually with some sort of fruit note (Ruby's Oatz, Key Lime n Piel, etc). Making something that revolved around just a fruit profile is something I have always wanted to put some serious effort into, so why not start now? This is the "fruit" of that labor. It's still a bit in the dessert department, but this is a Melon slush that I think you will really enjoy for the rest of summer.
Fruit Mix: When I SFT'd PUR Watermelon it was pretty dang tasty, but was more of a candied watermelon. I played with LA's as well; but I arrived at a combination of PUR Watermelon, CAP Cantaloupe, and JF Honeydew Melon for the melon mix. Honeydew helps give a sort of natural melon base, with CAP Cantaloupe bridging the gap between them.
Some Slushiness: I played with VT Fizzy Sherbet in a few different recipes. For those that want a good baseline of VT Fizzy Sherbet in a recipe, check out The Spider by StarsandClouds or 7 NUP by pgl55. It really helps imply that effervescence of a soda-type drink. To add a bit more juiciness to it, I added a bit of FA pear to try and make a basic slush base. I'm sure there are better out there, but I like this one personally since Pear will accent the other fruits well anyway. WS-23 helps bring it all home with that nice and cool throat hit.
You can probably get away with a 1-day steep on this, but I like to give it 3 just to let everything settle. I hope you dig it!
Shit. It’s almost Valentine’s Day and you didn’t mix anything up for that special someone. You swore that after last year and the year before that you’d be prepared. You’d have something steeping by mid-January at the latest. Fear not, Dr. Chemical Love has got your back!
A pretty delicious (so far) shake and vape recipe inspired by this week’s Flavor of the Week on /r/diy_ejuice. It has not been steep tested, but I’m giving it the shake and vape approval.
I really had to convince myself not to throw some INW Black for Pipe in here.
This is mostly a sweet, creamy vanilla with just a hint of some cucumber melon.
This is obviously a little change on HoneyDEWWEY : A Boba Remix. I really loved the mix but TFA Honeydew isn't a ADV to me. This is a lot more mild as JF Honeydew isn't such a abrasive flavor as TFA's version. You can use CAP Cantaloupe here is you wish. I prefer using FA's version. I kept the TFA Circus Cotton Candy as I really liked the candy finish in the mix.
Give the original a try if you haven't yet! All credit goes to Enyawreklaw
Pretty upfront mango with some honeydew and a little cantaloupe to pull it all together.
Adjust Koolada to taste.
--- Forgot to update. I changes TPA Honeydew to JF Honeydew at same %, personally i feel like it is way better, but feel free to mix it with TPA Honeydew/Honeydew II if you like that one better.
A nice summer vape. I really hated honeydew vapes until I found JF honeydew melon. It's phenomenal and cannot be subbed so fuck off.
Erythritol is a great sweetener for fruits so yes I used it here, really not necessary though so you can leave it out.
CAP cantaloupe is a really nice base for melon mixes, it's a pretty nondescript melon flavor that works best as a background note. JF honeydew is the star of the show at 1%. The watermelon mix sweetens things up and adds a nice depth to the recipe. Cactus is here because juicy yummy and it tastes pretty melon like especially at low %.
This is pretty straightforward and honestly it is downright delicious and complex enough for me to enjoy. I normally don't go for fruity blends but this one kept me going for over 50mls, enjoy!
Shake and vape but as always I let my stuff sit for at least 3 days to homogenize.
FIRST NOTE @queuetue has now added Purilium. Purilium Condensed Milk. It is a fantastic addition to any cream/milk/dairy mixers collection. Buy that stuff.
Not too many notes
The melon combo with Cactus and Honeysuckle is a direct adaption of my Honey Sucker recipe but playing around with JF Honeydew. I changed the strawberries up a bit in hopes that I could taste them more. But alas, it is a sweet hint of pinkish berry for me. Which is nice.... Thanks to @thadentman beta testing this I know that the combo works for "normal strawberry tasters."
The combo of Purilium Condensed Milk with Shisha Vanilla is a delicious take on a heavy dairy on the front milkish cream. Accentuated by my undying love for Shisha Vanilla.
Capella Super Sweet, the recipe needed a bit of kick in the sweetness department. The balance on it is great and I did not want to add extra EM with TFA Sweetener. Actually I tried it and it lost a good bit (to me) in the complexity department.
The profile is supposed to be akin to a bubble tea, without the roach eggs. No one thing is supposed to take main stage on this one. Just a balanced melony, fruity, milky creamy vape.
