A tantalisingly refreshing, chilled, fresh mandarin vape...
Another addition to my Icee range, this time in the form of a lesser renowned citrus champion, the humble Mandarin. This mix celebrates this unique citrus varietal which is less sour but sweeter and more flavourful than it's well know brother/sister/cousin, the Orange.
FA Tanger is the star of the show and treated as such. It is an authentic representation of a fresh, sweet tangerine in all it's glory. There is a tinge of zest present which adds a stunning 'bite' when you least expect it.
Cap Sweet Tangerine keeps FA honest and prevents it from being too linear by boosting the sweetness a tad. Combined, these two provide an full burst of tangerine goodness!
The FA Cream provides some body & creaminess, allowing the fruit to show their full potential.
WS23 cools everything down without detracting from the stars of show. Feel free to start the WS23 off at 0.50% and adjust up if required.
Sub WS23 with Koolada at your preferred % if preferred.
Give this baby 3 days or so and she is ready to pop!
This is not an exact clone. Only had the original commercial juice once but it was unique and inspirational.
On day one, a mandarin explosion. Very enjoyable as is, but the way I preferred it was with a day steep. The mandarin will blend with the cactus and jack fruit. Very juicy and sweet.
Sweeten to taste.
Tested in the Horizon Tech Falcon Tank and entheon.
H M Cheesecake. Usually anything with H M in the title would create some anxiety due to it more than likely being a court summons or warrent for arrest! Thankfully this is NOT one of those occasions and truth be told, apparently Her Majisty is quite partial to this paticular cheesecake profile. I urge you all to mix this recipe as this is an absolute revelation. Perfectly balanced creams, fruits and biscuits. Fuck its delicious!!A stunningly authentic, deliciously moorish apricot&mandarin cheesecake.
I used 1 drop (CAP) Super Sweet per 10ml.
Please give me your feedback (good or bad) and I hope you all enjoy this one as much as me! Getting this recipe to exactly where I personally believe is optimal on both flavour and balance took awhile however, everyone that mixes and is as passionate about creating profiles as much as I am will no EXACTLY what I’m talking about when that little tingle in your under garments occurs when you hit the “motherload” and get those percentages right where they should be. 😃 👍🏻
P.S I use an ultra sonic on all of my mixes and generally on desert profile with thicker creams etc i will do 3 stages:
1.) 1hr @ 40 degrees-shake and leave to cool.
2.) 45mins @ 38 degrees-shake&cool
3.) 30mins @ 35 degrees-shake,cool then vape.
This works best for me and really breaks all the creams in and smooths everything out. Ultimately, shaving around 5 days natural steep off which is great when your inpatient fuck like me!!! Enjoy 💙
This was a nightmare to create! Aperol Spritz is a very famous italian cocktail based on Aperol bitter, champagne and sparkling water. Of course the star of the show is the Aperol with it's orange and aromatic herbs in it. The champagne in this cocktail it's mainly the stage where Aperol will act.
In order to create the right orange mix I tried really a lot of them in the market, but at the end, not a coincidence IMHO, the italians oranges of FA( FA orange and FA tanger) where the most similar to the orange flavor of Aperol.
I tried a lot of herbs too, but all they would distract the nose. So I started searching for bitter notes and of course I found the FA bitter wizard, but it has an off note in it, so I searched for other flavors with a bitter in it to pair with FA bitter wizard. At the end the best answer was FA bergamot in order to remain in citrus area and get a bitter note to pair to FA bitter wizard.
But the very fascinating and strange thing in Aperol Spritz is the combination of bitter and sweet. Of course I used a bit of CAP super sweet, but a bit of vanillin was really necessary here to give a sweet contrast to the recipe.
For champagne I used TPA champagne both for calm down the cost of this recipe with something cheap and because this is not a bully wine flavor like others.
At the end I worried about how to give a sparkling esperience to this recipe. I watched a lot of Noted episode in youtube to find inspiration and at the end the answer came from @ID10T and his endorcement of VT fizzy sherbet.
Now guys I really ask you from the bottom of my heart to review this recipe in order to give me a partial compensation for all this work on it.
Jarritos Mexican Lemonade - Mandarin Soda. Love the drink and this profile worked out a beauty, good ADV
Lemonade base of CAP Pink Lemonade and FA Lemon Sicily. FA Tanger and CAP Sweet Tangerine for the Mandarin. CAP Juicy Orange to add lushness with TPA Dragonfruit to combine it all together. CAP Super Sweet % to suit taste
Vaping on 0.4 and 0.2 Claptons in Psyclone RDA's, also vapes well on 0.8 MLT Atomiser (the ADV setup) 60\40 with low nic
Enjoy and let me know how it works for you
This mix was truly inspired by Dazcole - Fantastic. I was after a more sugary soda mix, where Fantastic had some authentic notes to it. Originally "Fanta" that started in europe had a bit of orange juice in it, however today's recipe contains no orange juice. Fun lil fact for you right there.
This is smack you in the face orange - kind of like a malaysian style mix. If you mix this up, please let me know how you feel about it.
Blood Orange FW + Tanger FA + Shisa Orange INW - This is my orange base, and it creates a delicious sweet blood orange
Strawberry TFA - I used this here to help blend the fruits together
WS-23 - (20% Dilution) Cools everything down, gives you the sense that there is some fizzyness also
Jelly Candy - To help out with the body of the soda, and also sell a more candylike orange flavour
Cactus - Adds some wetness to the mix
This recipe is for The Year of Mixing week -42 inspiration.
This is a blend of berry notes with a touch of citrus intertwined, softened by a gentle cream and sweet coconut flavors. The Candy Wizard is used to sweeten and add a jammy richness, while balanced with the sour notes of Sour Wizard, and everything is softly smoothed with a bit of TFA Smooth.
This works well as a shake and vape recipe, but if you find it a touch harsh shake and vape, add up to 1% TFA Smooth to calm down the harsh notes as long as you don't plan to steep it. If you are going to steep for the 2 weeks it needs to be fully steeped leave the smooth levels as is in the recipe. I do also suggest adding (if you enjoy it) 0.75% FA Arctic Winter (Menthol) and 0.2% WS-23 to this mix. It adds a lovely element to it that I quite enjoy. If you do not like menthol or Cooling you can leave one or both out if you dislike them.
