A subtlety spiced full crust apple pie.
An apple pie recipe has been a hit & miss experience for me for quite some time in an eLiquid as I found it's difficult to enjoy often due to my palette being left feeling dry from pastry flavors that seemingly linger. Thankfully in 2019 there are a lot more flavors that are available that can help avoid this.
What I have developed here is a full home baked crusted & delicately spiced apple pie recipe with a lovely splash of thick delicious custard.
However patience is the key to success here, for best results a 2 week steep is a necessity. It vapeable before hand but the spice notes from the FW Dutch apple pie are little to forward and need this time to meld properly with the other flavours. It's worth the wait. This is not a quick over the counter or supermarket apple pie, this is "Home Baked".
FLV Apple Filling - is the awesome cooked apple in this pie with some lovely rich cinnamon notes. This is rare for a Flavorah concentrate to be pushed this high but this one loves to be pushed a little higher in bakeries I find.
FW Dutch Apple PIe - Is an underrated concentrate in my opinion. It offers some rich bakery & cooked apple notes and when used low as I have here it really can give a rich fruity recipe a solid centre to help bridge a profile.
FA Apple Pie - Has slight yet brighter apple notes than the others but it's crust which is dominant is mainly why this is used here. It is a very stable and enjoyable pastry crust to use in most fruity bakery profiles.
WF Croissant - Assists with some flakiness of the crust and adds some lovely contrast to the pastry.
FLV Smoked Butterscotch - for that fresh baked straight from the oven accent to this profile really does well here.
FA Custard Premium - This thick authentic silky custard is the best going around right now in my opinion. It really helps to balance the whole profile here as it covers the pie but doesn't drown those nuances of flavour either. This is the savior to an apple pie recipe profile because it helps to not only make the vape not dry over time but helps fill out the mouthfeel of this very enjoyable vape.
Variation of Sweetness - If you feel this isn't sweet enough DO NOT reach for the supersweet ! Rather go for 0.5% of VTA Golden Syrup. I tried this when testing and it gives the right amount of dark sweetness here if you're a sweet tooth.

IMO this is a very pleasant and enjoyable vape on a single coil RDA at 60W with a SST single coil at 0.2 ohm
1. Lightly grease a round baking tin using CAP Golden Butter
2. Process OO Pie Crust, *TFA Acetyl Pyrazine ,FA Cookie and CAP Butter Cream in a food processor until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
3. Roll out pastry between two sheets of baking paper until large enough to line base and side of prepared tin.
4. To make custard just add FA Custard Premium in a large jug until smooth
5. Combine PUR Country Apple with FLV Apple Filling and VTA Red Fuji Apple in a bowl. Spread over pastry base. Pour over custard.
6. Shake and Steep in a moderately dark room for about 5 days or until you just can’t wait anymore.
7. TIP: If pastry becomes too soft when rolling out, return to steep for 1 more day with an extra drop or of AP. Store in the vape bag out of direct sunlight. Before serving, drip in RDA at about 0.25 ohms and 50 Watts.
Absolutely delicious Cranberry Butter Pecan Pie, runner-up in a competition between Dutch&Belgian mixers organized by Lynn who runs a FB page (Reviews 评论 Just a 只是 Lady 女士) that reviews commercial juices on a daily base. Interested? have a look at https://www.facebook.com/groups/726584030815474/
For the pie base is used FA Apple Pie mixed with WF Butter Pecan Pie.
I love the filling made of FLV Cranberry and FA Custard Premium.
Finished this simple but moist and delicious mix with some FLV Sweetness.
This is my first recipe worthy of being shared with the community =P I take so much inspiration from the great minds here and am incredibly grateful I discovered this place/hobby.
As soon as I tried VT LMT I knew it would serve as a major contribution to something wonderful someday. Part of me also wanted to find some kind of use for FA Custard Pi after going through the trouble to get it and not seeing it used in many recipes. Without spending too much time or energy on it, over a few months, I acquired various flavors for various recipes and it was now time to get down to brass tax.
FE Lemon with a touch of FA Florida Lime along with FA Custard Pi make up what can be considered the lemon curd of this recipe. FE Lemon is a tactful bakery lemon with that staying power many lack, the Florida Lime just makes it pop a tad more, I'm sure one could sub FA Lime Distilled or TFA Key Lime and get near-similar results. I just happen to prefer the way this tastes and I think youll agree.
The Custard Pi contributes to the lemon layer as well as the custard portion, with great help from FA Custard Premium. Hands down my favorite custard it is just so buttery and fits in here seamlessly with its Pi cohort.
FA Cookie and FA Apple Pie combine to emulate a rather decent tart layer, and I'm sure they both benefit from the premium buttery goodness and various cream subtleties throughout their fellow flavors.
FA Meringue for the meringue, FA Cream Whipped to prop it up with some major texture, INW Creme Brulee to add some layer separation, and VT Lemon Meringue Tart brings it all together with notes/hints of everything.
Toffee apple meringue pie with nuances of cinnamon running through the curd.
Starting with the base, I use flapper pie to give that generic meringue pie taste, using FA apple pie bends that graham crust into a nice pie crust
Moving onto the curd, the custard from the flapper pie already sets the foundation, adding a touch of FA premium thickens it up, then comes the apple... FLV Apple filling and CAP double apple provide the spiced stewed apple, finally VTA English toffee thickens that curd up further and brings a nice buttery finish.
Lastly it’s all topped off with whipped meringue that WF flapper pie provides so brilliantly.
this is really good off the shake but the apple is too tart and the toffee doesn’t show up until a week into the steep, best after around a week but the longer the better.

Some credits goes to mlNikon for the inspiration and Humanpuck as we have discussed flavors (he's making his own version - http://alltheflavors.com/recipes/145179)
The idea here I got from mlNikon when she once mentioned a croissant with jam she had made (https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/95371#raspberry_jam_and_croissant_by_mlnikon).
I decided, that since I love jam and since I love croissants - why not make one too!
The choice of the jam was tricky, as I'm generally pretty tired of strawberry and raspberry this and that. I wanted something dark and deep.
So my obvious choice was blackberry, blackcurrant and boysenberry.
FA blackcurrant as it is potent like hell, so I keep it low and let VT Boysenberry do a little legwork.
In an attempt to make the "jam" a little more... jammy? I have set my heart in FA Maple Syrup. I feel it adds a little texture.
The FA Apple Pie has only one job and that is to bring a little crust to the croissants butter goodness.
CAP Graham Cracker is there for a little texture.
My V8 a year after trying Primative's Buttermilk Pie. While this is not an exact clone, to achieve a similar robust dessert vape requires a heavy hand and more than a few ingredients.
To start, I wanted a dense chess pie... and I like mine sweet. The Vanilla Custard with Sweet Cream are at the root of that, complimented by both Inw Creme Brûlée and FA Custard (Inw didn't give me enough of the caramelized top hence the brown sugar & vanilla).
You can do with less frosting (but it levels the mix nicely) or without the Super Sweet but at 0.75% & 0.5% why... this is a zero calorie extravagance.
The Rich Cinnamon, at just one drop per 30 m, is a must... two is fine, don't cry., it won't destroy things.
Another must is the 3:1 Whipped Cream & Golden Butter which are the buttermilk of the recipe.. This key combination was uncovered in 2016 at least.
For the crust I opted for a simple 2:1 which does this recipe justice.
Give it a taste before you dial it down, go back to the original and think, If you were to bake a chess pie, what would you want.
