This is my first recipe worthy of being shared with the community =P I take so much inspiration from the great minds here and am incredibly grateful I discovered this place/hobby.
As soon as I tried VT LMT I knew it would serve as a major contribution to something wonderful someday. Part of me also wanted to find some kind of use for FA Custard Pi after going through the trouble to get it and not seeing it used in many recipes. Without spending too much time or energy on it, over a few months, I acquired various flavors for various recipes and it was now time to get down to brass tax.
FE Lemon with a touch of FA Florida Lime along with FA Custard Pi make up what can be considered the lemon curd of this recipe. FE Lemon is a tactful bakery lemon with that staying power many lack, the Florida Lime just makes it pop a tad more, I'm sure one could sub FA Lime Distilled or TFA Key Lime and get near-similar results. I just happen to prefer the way this tastes and I think youll agree.
The Custard Pi contributes to the lemon layer as well as the custard portion, with great help from FA Custard Premium. Hands down my favorite custard it is just so buttery and fits in here seamlessly with its Pi cohort.
FA Cookie and FA Apple Pie combine to emulate a rather decent tart layer, and I'm sure they both benefit from the premium buttery goodness and various cream subtleties throughout their fellow flavors.
FA Meringue for the meringue, FA Cream Whipped to prop it up with some major texture, INW Creme Brulee to add some layer separation, and VT Lemon Meringue Tart brings it all together with notes/hints of everything.
I just love Lemon Meringue Pie, eating it and vaping it so always have a version knocking around, this is my best version thus far.... not dissimilar to that well known "premium" brand after a couple of days, it's actually pretty good of the shake but from 3 days it really starts to shine, my mix is only 4 days old so can't comment how it steep out but imo it's v v good for my tastes... very sweet so if that makes your teeth hurt perhaps leave out the ss and add if need be....
All ingredients are needed, no subs possible, well obviously you can sub anything but it won't taste like this version 😉
Mix it and try it... don't think you will be disappointed,
My thanks to Mark Turner for his help with this recipe.
African Horned Cucumber is a unique flavor. It seems rather herbal to me after steeping. It blends well with the citrus flavors, but is definitely the dominant flavor in this recipe. The African Horned Cucumber flavor changes dramatically with time. It starts out very "orangy," and is very unappealing after steeping about a week, but the second week, this recipe comes to its own. It really hit the spot for me when I was bored with my typical flavors.
Note: After vaping this for a while, I decided it needed more lemon, so it has been added to the original recipe.
Tested on Digiflavor Siren 2 at 1.0 ohm 316 ss
Tested later at higher wattage (40), and it had more flavor
VT Lemon Meringue Tart does all the heavy lifting in this lemon bar with JF Biscuit and Flv Pastry Zest filling out the crust part. I used FE Lemon to help because it doesn't fad nearly as bad as some of the other lemon flavors and its just a good lemon flavor. Vanilla Buttercream frosting is just here to add some more richness and depth to the mix, it is by far the best frosting flavor out imo.
I know there are tons of Watermelon Lemonades out there but, I was wanting to work up a mix I could use in my POD and be able to taste it without using 15 =% flavoring in it. As I like to mix with much lower %'s. So I knew I wanted to use flavors that were just stronger more vibrant flavors and what better flavor combo for that than Watermelon Lemonade.
I'm not a huge fan of Koolada so I went super low with it in this mix but it worked out wonderfully for me. It gives that slight cool icy feeling on the back of my throat and my teeth on the exhale just like When you take a big ICE COLD Drink. The watermelon and mix of lemons are really well balanced in this IMO. Watermelon upfront and tart/sweet lemonade on the back end followed by that cool bite from the koolada. It is sweet but not overly sweet which is how I prefer my mixes to be (just sweet enough). Over all I think this mix turned out just Lovely.
I let it steep for 3 days before trying it, 3rd day it was really good and smoothed out each day after.
Give it a mix and let me know what you think..
I have played with a fruity pebbles and milk recipe since I first started mixing, and have had some success and created a couple decent mixes in the past. But, they all seemed to be missing "something" I couldn't put my finger on it but it needed something else. This recipe is a spin off of one of my most recent fruity pebbles recipes. I added FE Lemon, replaced the strawberry with FA Juicy Strawberry and then upped it to 1%, Then..... I got the WF Vanilla Ice Cream in and decided to give it a whirl in my FP mix. And VOILA I finally found that balance and little "something" that was missing... I gave this one a short 1 hour warm bath, an over night steep uncapped, then capped to steep for 5 days. It is a creamy balanced fruity pebbles almost fruit loopy at times yummy vape. Give it a mix and let me know what ya think.. Hope you enjoy..
his was based off of a crown royal apple valentines day cocktail. Brandy is used here since there are very few solid cognac flavors that come across as cognac without some hard to avoid off notes.
On the inhale you get nice sweet apple brandy that transitions to with a slight tart lemon berry finish. Best vaped in an RDA at 60 - 70 watts (4.2v) this is a easy all day vape
apple-cranberry and two - apples work to create the cranberry apple fruit juice for this mix. Apple cranberry is just a great tart slight sweet flavor that is perfect for a cocktail mix Two apples has more of a fermented apple similar to a sparkling cider and works with the brandy
bandy has a sweet grape that leans almost dark raisin fruit note with a nice warm boozie . There is also a bit of an orange peel finish. it is ideal for cocktails.
Pomegranate and grenadine create a pretty solid genedeine type of syrup. WF grenadine is thin but has a solid flavor and needs help. FA pomegranate is really close to a solid grenadine so it is used here.
milk and honey works for some body and darker sweetness
Lemon FE is just a solid fresh lemon that will hold up and last in this mix , as many lemons tend to fade. honey Pomelo adds a nice finish to the mix and helps the pomegranate and lemon. f you want a more prominent sour note try a bit of VT lemon sour in addition.
NOTES: FA brandy can be used in place of VT but it does not carry a boozie note but will work nicely here are as well. I like a bit of sweetener with fruit so I added FLV sweetness at .50% . FLV cranberry can be subed for apple - cran for a tarter mix. but I really like that touch of apple in the cran apple.
