Whilst experimenting, I accidentally managed to come up with a pretty convincing Lilt!
To those of you not from the UK, Lilt is a delicious, fizzy pineapple and grapefruit drink made by the coca cola company:
I haven't had any for a long time and thought it was discontinued, but apparently you can still buy it (for that 'totally tropical taste').
Using a variation of the lemonade base I posted here: https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/131996#nice_raspberry_and_grapefruit_lemonade_by_harrynice
I added FA cold pressed lime and TPA champagne rather than FW lemonade so that it was light and the refreshing sharpness of the drink would come through.
Then I added the key ingredients (pineapple and grapefruit), gave it a mix and was very pleasantly surprised by just how much it tasted like the real thing...
This is good to go as S&V, but give it a week and it should settle into something magical!
Please don't ask me what I was thinking when I made this. To be honest, I just threw some flavours together and hoped they worked. A couple of minor tweaks and here you have it. For me, the banana and pineapple are at the forefront of this. All the other flavours seem to blend in nicely. I've put 15 days steep time as I made this Nov 25th and didn't like it after 2/3 days so I just left it. Just trying it Dec 23rd and it's pretty damned tasty.
the combination of PUR and JF cheesecake make for a creamy phily styled cheesecake, with notes of vanilla and light coconut. While it is called toasted it is a very light toasted note, it is not very prominent. to me JF cheesecake is an upscale version of TPA cheesecake.
Cap and VT pineapple create a juicy sweet bright - slightly candy profile which works for that syrup topping, the Jamaican rum adds some dark sweetness and spices that sits at the back of the vape with the pineapple
CAP vanilla whipped adds some additional vanilla notes and some sweetness to the mix
This is a sweet mix but feel free to add sweetener of your choice

This is a moist and rich pineapple butter cake. I used FW yellow cake because i needed the tastiest yellow cake in this recipe. you could sub Angel Cake WF if you prefer. The pineapple is more of a baked pineapple in this recipe and adds sweetness. The LMP gives it extra zest to the creamy thick moist butter cake. I made this specifically for the DIY Down Under November challenge.
the pineapple sc does not fade, it gets more lucious!
Eating an end of summer blue raspberry popsicle made me want to do some research on the flavor. None of the blue raspberry recipes or concentrates I've tried quite nail that fully saturated blue raspberry flavor.
I read all of the usual articles out there that give the history of the blue color after FD&C Red No. 2 was found to be carcinogenic. These articles also told the story of the rubus leucodermis, more commonly known as the "whitebark raspberry" or "blue raspberry". None of the articles actually delved deep enough to mention the actual aromas/flavors used in popsicle/candy making that make up the profile.....but one.
I spent some time balancing this and eating popsicles to try and get it right. I hope you all enjoy it. I got some serious brain freeze just for you.
The flavors I've used here are generally what the candy industry uses to concoct a blue raspberry. Pineapple, banana and cherry.
I chose INW Pineapple and CAP Golden Pineapple because it gives what I feel is a nice sweet balanced pineapple to build upon.
For the banana I knew I wanted something that was a good banana that would fit in the mix and work well with the other fruits. I arrived at HS after the other few bananas I tried stuck out like a runty whore in church.
INW Cherries was a no brainer. It's my favorite cherry and doesn't bring a bunch of medicinal baggage to try and mask. The problem I had was keeping it low enough so that it blended in like a sniper in a ghillie suit. My first few batches were very cherry forward and it stepped all over the pineapple/banana instead of working with it.
FA Oba Oba and CAP Hibiscus bring the sticky syrupy sweetness to the party.
You can add your preferred amount of whatever coolant you want if that's your thing. I left it out when developing the recipe so I could taste what was going on. WS-23 gives me heartburn much over 0.75% but would be my choice here.
you remember that bottle of graveyard juice that your buddy handed you when you first started? no that didn't happen to you? Well now you can wander thru the "graveyard"! i can't describe the taste anything other than like a 'graveyard' soda, but only in theory. little bit of this, little bit of that. its a similar profile to what my buddy gave me to help me start vaping.
