Alright, folks here is the official release of The Red Dragon by West Coast Clouds (https://bit.ly/2tsJBci). This is a commercial juice blend we use for West Coast Clouds and now you can make it at home! Don't feel like making it? Try the one shot over at TBV (https://bit.ly/2JYOHYD)
Before you get all huffy about the high flavoring percentage, its the only way I was able to punch that Dragonfruit out once everything else is added.
Dragonfruit by TPA is the main note and we use CAP DragonFruit to round it out. Using Starberry (Ripe) to give some more authentic flavor, and FA Strawberry that lends to this by adding some body.
TPA Tutti-Fruitti and FW Juicy are used to make the Dragonfruit punchy and bright.
TPA VBIC is used to add that bit of depth and deepness to the entire mix, very very subtly.
Would love to hear your feedback on this as it was one of my first recipes I ever created.
A recipe in progress...
FW Yellow Cake is the prominent cake flavor here but we use Cereal 27 (CAP) and (CAP) NY Cheesecake and RF Sponge Cake to round out the edges
LA Cream Cheese Icing is the forefront of this layer, using CAP Vanilla Custard to bring in that dessert vanilla, FA Meringue for some thicker mouthfeel overall, and hen using 000 Powdered Sugar and FLV Frosting to bring up that icing as a sweet sugary topping.
The Caramel Cap and Chocolate:
These are just accents, don't expect an overly chocolate caramel cappuccino, as too much of this will take away from the rest of the flavorings. We use these at rather low percentages.
Feedback would be rad, would love to round this out or even remove flavorings if you think it can be simplified.
After trying several different clone/remix recipes out there, I have finally come to the conclusion that the most important pieces are these 3 components and you can build from there.
4.5% Cereal 27 (Cap) - This is your bread
5% Golden Butter (Cap) - This is your butter obviously
4% Sweet Strawberry (Cap) - Your Main Strawberry note
Bring in AP at 0.5% and you've got a bit more nuttiness to your bread. Want an even better bread? Add 0.15% of Joy (FA). You're pretty damn close right here and this is a very vapeable recipe.
Now here is the catch, we know that with these 3 main components, we do not get a dark brown caramel look to the juice, and we know the original is definitely a brown tint. That could be the steeping process, but its likely that there is something more going on here. So if we look back at Waynes remix, the Strawberry Jam with Toast has that nice dark color we see present in Jam Monster. So it would only make sense that this is added to lift the bread rather than using the AP and Joy and also make the strawberry more jam like. Ive seen chatter around the web about Cranberry Sauce being in all of the Jam Monster series to give that nice jammy flavor, but I cant seem to find it. Strawberry Sweet on its own is close but starts to hide in the cereal and butter, so we need to bring it back with RF Strawberry, and then lift the toast with the Strawberry Jam/Toast from RF
So if we add 2% RF Strawberry and 2% Strawberry Jam w/ Toast, we start to get that nice strawberry and the dark golden color of the juice.
This will get us closer to the desired color, but i haven't had a chance to fully experiment.
Either way, remember what Wayne says, think simple. The three main ingredients, to me, are very very close to the original and its all CAP. As a business, that would make more sense financially to build the recipe off these three main components.
Would love any feedback!
I've always been a fan of FA Grape White, it's an nice authentic fruit profile but on it's own in a vape, it needs some love to make things more dynamic. IMO
Grape Juice TFA - the grape juice is used to push the grape to a sweeter profile and give a bit more brightness. I would experiment with other grapes as well to see what works best. I haven't had a chance to try anything else yet.
Double Apple CAP - A great apple taste thats authentic and doesnt really need any other help to get there.
Wild Melon FLV - This keeps things a bit more fruity rather than candylike.
TPA Black Currant - I find this really helps round the flavors out and bring them together. This is optional and totally up to you.
Let me know what you think and if you guys try anything else, let me know in the comments.
Looking for a vape that tastes like fruit loops but without all that other stuff you see in commercial juice? No Milk, No Creams, just Cereal goodness.
MUST USE SILVERLINE version of CAP Fruit Circles for best results.
OPTIONAL: Add 2% FA Meringue for a bit more mouthfeel and a slight hint of creaminess.
