This is just a simple recipe that brings me back to the chai my grandmother used to make every day. It's really straight forward and works well. Chai in India is generally bitter, sweet, spicy and warm. I honestly think the recipe is self explanatory. I wanted more ginger out of the FLV Chai spice so I added more. This is good as a SnV, but better after 3-4 days as the astringency tones down a bit.
This recipe is pretty basic for me. After hearing @id10-t refer to the new FLV Blue Raz as the best Blue Raz I knew I needed it. I vaped about 2 ml's of it and this idea hit me. Although it is a VERY good blue raz, its incomplete. I think the combo of FLV Sour Apple + WF Sourball candy is a pretty killer tart candy base and that's the purpose it plays in here. I want the tart, but not the apple. I originally didn't have the WF Sour Blue Raz Candy in this and it was very good, but I felt it was missing something. I wanted MOAR blue raz, this was the added touch as it not only helped the tart but rounded out the blue raz. Enjoy
This is a fairly easy recipe which was the result of me SFT'ing SSA Thai Pineapple, which is an absolutely fantastic pineapple, and immediately wanting it in a bakery. The MB Yellow cake was something I had stf'd and have been wanting to work with. I like it a touch better than the JF yellow cake or fj, whatever the hell they call themselves. The compote cherry fits really well into this recipe as its a light cooked cherry, but used this low its not exactly syrupy. I had originally mixed this without the TFA butter and thought it lacked butter. This is pretty tasty off the shake, but after 6-7 days it gets really good. The difference between day 5 and 6 is pretty evident, the yellow cake really comes out at this point.
So this started as trying to be a 1-2-3 recipe, but right now I'm a but limited in my stash. I was chatting with some of the guys on the discord and @wolfwheeler said something that fixed this recipe. He told me not put myself in a box, which is something I've never done in the past so I'm glad he gave me a little push.
I got this idea from the Meringue episode of noted, when @duncanyoyo1 said that VT LMT tasted like lime to him. So all I did was bump the lime flavor using INW Shisha Lime, which is 100% a key lime pie lime and add some FLV Vanilla Pudding gives you the sweet creaminess that the other 2 don't have. This is simple, but I'M BACK BABY!
"Your task for this month is to make whatever you want, but then pick an additional flavor that typically wouldn’t go with what your base recipe is. "
This was my mission and I chose to accept it.
As a kid my mom used to make me rose milk all the time. Its a great little Indian version of Nesquik syrup. I've really enjoyed my Kheer recipe, but I've also really enjoyed my smoothie recipes which are basically lassi's. So I decided to go all pen pineapple apple pen and UNGH Rose Kheer Lassi. This is basically my Indian version of bubble tea, don't @ me.
For those that do not know kheer is an Indian dessert that is a rice pudding. Generally consisting of rice, milk, cardamom, almond and pistachio. I decided to use the first 3 ingredients. My go to for rice was always FE Sweet Rice, but I decided to switch it up and give the VT Thai Sticky Rice a shot. I gives you a nice sweet cooked rice flavor for the kheer base. The cardamom was easy, its always FA Cardamom. Next up we need the milk this is where the VT Peach Yoghurt comes into play. I don't get much peach from it at all and I get no yoghurt, but what I do get is a rose like flavor with some nice milky creaminess. When told @Zany I was combining VT Peach Yoghurt with Thai Sticky Rice he called me a monster, so that's how I knew I was on the right track for my mission. I added the VT Glazed strawberries for some added pink syrupiness, but its not strong enough to turn the rose flavor into a strawberry. The FLV cream rounds the cream base out. I wanted to add a touch of tart which is where the MB Greek Yogurt comes into play, its not quite as tart as I want it, but I'll get there.
Built this from Boxerdog and TeslaDelMar's bangin Sour Apple Melon. May the 4th be with you and within that them we all know Yoda was a dusty old fart. Guy, thing, whatever thought he knew everything. Well he completely ignored the revival of the Sith until it was too late. He was farting out dust by the time he met baby face Luke Skywalker.
This is a simple Sour Green Apple Fundip.
For the apple I used the ingenious combo of TFA(Tart Green Apple) with Cap Double Apple and FLV Apple to start. Boxer and Tes really nailed this combination and I decided to kick up the apple with the FM Green Apple.
Next we need to dust this shit up and I used the WF Pixie Candy combined with OOO Powdered sugar to give us that grainy dusty old fart flavor.
The WF Sourball Candy helps with the sour, but also gives us some fundip stick vibe to it. Enjoy!
Ok so I like tropical smoothie's sue me and I'm brown so we call them lassi's. I wanted a nice pineapple mango smoothie then the lemony note in Yoghurt drink got me thinking about adding a dash of lemon/lime. The VT YD can get overpowered pretty easily in a mix so the FW yogurt is being used to back it up. You don't want to loose that yoghurty goodness in the fruit. I decided to take my go to pineapple mix and add some of the Sugarloaf pineapple to it, its got a nice syrupy texture and mouthfeel and it helps to add to the juiciness factor.
Mango is tough to nail without the mango funk, but this mix of VT Shisha Mango and Fa Indian Special seems to do the trick without overpowering the pineapple. Mango is the support here with the up front pineapple. The shisha lime just adds works well enough with the VT to add some additional brightness and a touch of that citrus bite.
I also use WS-23 in it and you can adjust it up or down. No sweetener or softener required here so there was not point in adding SS or TFA Marshmallow to it.
This is my take on a simple blue razz lemonade. LB and OSSDIY are clearly the best Blue Razz flavors, but even combined at a high percentage need a little support, which is why added in the INW Rasp. I love using INW rasp low to bolster the Blue Razz flavor and make it pop.
I didn't want to cheat this recipe and build on my puckenade, so I took a shot at using some other lemons. I really like the VT Lemonade clear its a nice lemonade with a touch of fizz, I don't really get the fizz in this, but that's because I didn't want this to be fizzy. The vt sour lemon is extremely potent and adds some of that fresh lemon pucker and the FW Lemonade is just a lemonade support.
I used the TFA Pear as a bit of sweet blender along the cactus to round some of the sharp edges. For you cactus haters out there I can't taste any cactus since it's used so low. The WS-23 and Cap SS can be used in whatever quantity you prefer. For a simple recipe this took 2 additional revisions after I first mixed it, so this was nice little challenge.
Just a very simple custard recipe using one of the newer fantastic custards out there. This is a nice a sweet banana custard with a hint of bake strawberries. I just wanted to use some newer 2019 flavors here and see what I could come up with in a 1-2-3 format.
The TFA VC II is an amazing vanilla custard. Its rich, a bit sweet with some nice vanilla notes to it. The banana custard at 2% isn't really a custard, but more just a nice fresh banana. This gives you a very interesting baked strawberry with ripe banana's mixed with a vanilla custard.
So this is pretty straight forward. I love sour gummy candy and after being inspired by Noted's "Gummy Candy" and "2019 Flavors of the Year" episodes I decided I wanted to mix up some thing that was fruity, sour and sweet.
I used the MB Big Watermelon to back up the WF Sour Watermelon Candy. I didn't want it over powered by the FLV Peach Gummy. Adding the candylike WF Strawberry(Juicy) gave me the mixed fruit combination. It's a relatively simple recipe, but I enjoy it.
