Profile: Hops with a berry fusion and a little sweet prickly touch

Disclaimer:
Made this on DIY_eJuice discord with the masterminds @nowar and @humanpuck

We wanted to make a flavor with Yakima Hops and some berries.
After much dicking around trying to figure out what we all got in common, it took us on a wild ride through flavors that would maybe or maybe not fit with Yakima Hops.
I don't really wanna go though all the suggestions we had, but we had quite a few.

Flavors:

  • FLV Yakima Hops is the star here and at 3% we felt it wouldn't get drowned and added that nice after taste Hops fans know so much.
  • FA Blackcurrant is that bastard child, that you can't really stop loving, even though it's a bitch. Potent stuff but it fits.
  • FA Forrest Mix (forest fruits) just fits in, as this is a berry fusion. And as forgiving as it is, we cranked this good stuff up.
  • CAP Golden Pineapple was one of the wilder ideas we had, as this mix needed something sweet and balancing to the berries. And it was welcomed with open arms.
  • FA Lime Tahity Distilled was the obvious choice to hold berries in balance along the pineapple. It's the binding element here.
  • INW Cactus is known to add juiciness, so that's what we did.

No sweetener is needed for this mix, but if this isn't sweet enough for you, may we suggest FW Sweetener.
Add your choice of coolant if you like.

Enjoy!

Blue Teams recipe for the Mixer Showdown #2 on DIY_eJuice Discord.

Made this with @eyemakepizza and @UnappreciatedRobot

JF Yellow Cake makes the base for the cupcake. VT Yogurt Drink makes the impromptu frosting loaded with delicious Blueberry from FA Bilberry and FW Blueberry. VT Fizzy Sherbet brings the pop rocks!
All that backed by some lemon to brighten the Blueberry from VT Yogurt Drink and VT Fizzy Sherbet.

This is part two in my recipe line of Buddha vapes.
Part one found here: http://alltheflavors.com/recipes/151292#clouds_of_buddha_by_nordicflavours

Profile: Steamed rice with spicy mango.

Background:

A while ago, I got thrown into a discussion at work about Buddha. Being married to a wonderful Japanese lady, who are heavily into buddhism, I started to look up what kind of food, the original Buddha's (yes there are a few of them) would actually eat.
Rice was a given and after much researchning I came up with a few recipes.
A sweet/floral one and a more sweet/savory one.

This one being the sweet/savory one.
Initially, this was the original idea for my Buddha vapes, which nicknamed "Project Buddha" in order to cause a little hype on the DIY_eJuice Discord.
The very first dish I came across, that seemed doable for a vape and something the different Buddha's would eat, was rice with mango.
Pretty straight forward, but the more I worked on it, the more messy it got.
At some point I had the whole rose apples aspect from Part One mixed into it and by the end of the day, it was over-flavoring so hardcore, that all you could taste was rice and a strange unidentifiable weak sweetness. NOT THE PLAN!
So after spending a little time with @Shyndo trying to fix this mess, I made the decision to turn it into two recipes.

Choices:

The Rice: is made from FA Sweet Rice and VT Rice Base. I found this combo to be pretty much what nicely steamed basmati rice tastes like.

FLV Cream: helps to bind the rice together, but only just enough to not turn it into a creamy rice pudding, as it wouldn't fit the profile. By all means, this is not really a dessert.

Spicy Mango: I went for FLV Mango here for the sort of main mango flavor, as it is almost what I would consider to be the flavor of an actual mango. However, I felt it lacked a tiny bit bitterness in the aftertaste from the peel, I considered many options. Here both TFA mango (didn't fit), JF Mango (way too bitter!) and FW Mango Guava (no and no, definitely not fitting). Neither of these working, I finally settled for VT Shisha Mango.
I felt VT Shisha Mango added both to help FLV Mango with the sweet and added exactly a tiny amount of bitterness I was after.
FLV Rose Essence comes into play here again as it does help the rice giving it a bit of fragnance and it does add a sort of perfume to the mango.

Concerning spices I had some ideas:
At some point FLV Rich Cinnamon was in play, but as I did not wanted this to be a dessert and I didn't quite see the connection, I scrapped that idea quickly. For a long time, I had FA Cardamom on the table and I had planned to actually pull through with it, but in a previous version I realised that it actually didn't do much good for the vape and added an unwanted off-flavor - while still being good, not what I was after.
Finally, I landed on FLV Heat, which also had been on the table for a long time. Both Heat and Cardamom was in the original line-up, but Shyndo being Shyndo, I realised that I couldn't have both in this vape, so I made a choice and FLV Heat stayed in to give the vape the spice (plus add some good throat hit!).

Concerning FLV Heat: 0.5% is my prefered. If you want it higher or lower (or not even at all), just adjust accordingly. I suggest you leave it in, as it is one of the key components.

On the inhale, you'll taste the wonderful flavor of sweet mango mixed with a pleasent amount of heat. Not too spicy, but nice and moderate.
The exhale mellows out the mango and leave you with a bit of warmth and a delicious creamy flavor of steamed basmati rice.

No real steep is needed for this, as FE Sweet Rice has a habit of fading, but over a day or two, it'll become more creamy and delicious. Works great as a SnV!

Hope you'll enjoy and feel free to leave a review!

This is a part one in my recipe line of Buddha inspired vapes I'm working on.
Part two found here: http://alltheflavors.com/recipes/151144#mists_of_buddha_by_nordicflavours

Profile: Steamed rice with rose apples.

This one here are the sweet/floral one.
It's based off on the a rice dish mixed with what we currently know as a Rose Apple - or more commonly (cause there are MANY Rose Apples), a Java Apple.
While a Java Apple actually not being an apple at all, but got its name due to its colour, it's more of a melon-ish, snow pear-ish type of fruit.
It's found in wide areas in South East Asia.
A lot of credit here goes to @Shyndo and @Alfredpudding for ideas and help choosing the flavors for the Rose Apple

Rose Apple: Shyndo and Alfred both chipped in here. Alfred suggested using CAP Sweet Guava, to add some of the flavor and the flesh along with TFA pear and
FLV Rose Essence for flavor. While Shyndo chipped in (agreeing unknowingly with Alfred) on the pear and rose essence. Shyndo went further and suggested to add some honeysuckle, as honeysuckle and rose essence could be a killer combo - and I agree.

Combine the rice and the rose apple and it's a great sweet and floral vape, with a wonderful rice flavor on the exhale.

No real steep is needed for this, as FE Sweet Rice has a habit of fading, but over a day or two, it'll become more creamy and delicious. Works great as a SnV!

Profile: Candied Apple

Background Info:
So I mixed up a recipe, that I actually didn't care for. Much worse was it, that I brought it to work too so I was stuck with it all day long.
Came home, sat down, thought of my inventory as I needed a SnV immediately - and then it came to me. I need a candied apple!
So I mixed this up - little trial and error and I got it just perfect after a couple of tries.

Choices:
FA Fuji - Being low on apples in general, my choice fell on this, as it's the sweet kind of apple I'm after.
VT Blood Plum - While my mix here does have a weak aftertaste of the plum, my choice on this was strictly for the candy flavor VT Blood Plum has. Therefor 1%
VT Salted Caramel - Usually I go FW Caramel (Salted) when I want something caramel, but it's very potent, and VT's version is a little bit more damp in it. Needed that for the apple not to be overpowered.
FA Butterscotch - There's to back-up the VT Salted Caramel and add a little butteriness to it.
FLV Rich Cinnamon - Keeping it low as usual, potent stuff. But in my imagination, a sprinkle of cinnamon on a candied apple sounds delicious!
CAP Super Sweet - Helps pretty much about anything in this mix to make it all more bright.

Can be used as SnV (I do!) but if you feel the need to mellow out the cinnamon a little and let the caramel become more visible, leave it over night or a few days.

Enjoy!

Quick and easy 1-2-3 Strawberry Cheesecake.

Thanks to the LB Strawberry Cheesecake, this can pretty much work as SnV. I suggest give some steep over night, and you're good to go.
It's heavy on the strawberry, with exhale notes on the NY Cheesecake.
Good to go if you're in a hurry!

Some credits goes to mlNikon for the inspiration and Humanpuck as we have discussed flavors (he's making his own version - http://alltheflavors.com/recipes/145179)

The idea here I got from mlNikon when she once mentioned a croissant with jam she had made (https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/95371#raspberry_jam_and_croissant_by_mlnikon).
I decided, that since I love jam and since I love croissants - why not make one too!
The choice of the jam was tricky, as I'm generally pretty tired of strawberry and raspberry this and that. I wanted something dark and deep.
So my obvious choice was blackberry, blackcurrant and boysenberry.
FA blackcurrant as it is potent like hell, so I keep it low and let VT Boysenberry do a little legwork.
In an attempt to make the "jam" a little more... jammy? I have set my heart in FA Maple Syrup. I feel it adds a little texture.

The FA Apple Pie has only one job and that is to bring a little crust to the croissants butter goodness.
CAP Graham Cracker is there for a little texture.

Very, very nice and fresh. Good mouth feel. Love it!

No more. No Less. Simply perfection.

Way too aggressive on the Sweet Tangerine, which sadly makes this mix harsh. The pineapple, Kiwi and mango all gets muted by the tangerine. Makes it taste incredible synthetic and not particulary good.

The citrus combo here is what young people would call "da bomb". A truly perfect blend that doesn't need anything to carry it. This is really how sunshine tastes like and it's amazing.
User: NordicFlavours Score: 5 Entered: about 1 year ago
This is some serious good stuff. I was scared, that the lime would completely overtake everything, but it didn't. 6% Yoghurt drink might seem high, but it suits the lime so very well. Good stuff!

This is pretty satisfying! Nice and fresh.

Fantastic Butter Pecan Pie! While recommended steep is 12 days, I gave it 21 days and it was stunning.
User: NordicFlavours Score: 5 Entered: about 1 year ago
This is indeed fall in a bottle! The leafy flavor from FLV Virginia hints just a pinch of tobacco, which works very well with the fuji and the spices. It's warm and very comfortable to vape. The taste of this liquid will lead your min onto the colors of fall. Very, very nice indeed. Great job, Alfred!

Considering it's a 2-ingredient recipe, this is pretty damn good. The pistachio is very heavy and creamy in this recipe, but fits strangely well considering it holds up against the RY4 all on it's own. The Ry4 is a little in the background, but it's really comfortable. Very great vape.
User: NordicFlavours Score: 5 Entered: 12 months ago
Solid homemade Ry4 right there! Very good entry into tobaccos for new beginners and you can really built on top of this.

You really need to like fig to like this juice. Luckily, I do. It's buttery nice with a heavy note of fig to it. I have no idea how a Fig Newtons is supposed to taste like, but this tastes like something from my childhood that was probably much like a fig newtons. Pretty good flavor!

I'll chime in with ID10-T on this. I have zero clue what the hell a Pluot Clafoutis is or how it should taste like - but hey, it doesn't matter. As long as the vape tastes good, which this does. However there are a few pointers. First is that 3 days is not enough steeping. After 3 days I find it to fall a little flat, the plum hasn't really set in with the rest and the NY Cheese Cake is still on a very bullying stage. Now after 7 days (as to where I'm writing this) it's much, much better and the flavors has really blended in well together. Although, I still find something in the fruit department lacking to accompany the plum and the apricot. It needs just a touch more of a fruity body to really make this shine. So I'd say this is pretty much close to home - nearly flawless as ID10-T described it. Sucks I can't give it 4.5 stars, cause that's exactly where it is. Very good and enjoyable vape. Sorry for teasing you about it, my dear friend.

Simple recipe, yet so delicious. While I normally find Black Touch boring on its own, it just works very well alongside FA Custard Prem. Very nice recipe! It's not too overly licorice-like, but it's there as bit of a back note. Very well made.
User: NordicFlavours Score: 5 Entered: 12 months ago
Considering the age of this recipe, it still goddamn works! Maybe a bit heavy on the cinnamon, but I don't have issue with that. It has some serious nice buttery goodness going on and that vanilla note from CAP Vanilla Custard is very welcoming. I very much enjoy this.
User: NordicFlavours Score: 5 Entered: 10 months ago
Delivered as promised. This one is very simple, but very good! It's one of those that gets better over a few days, although it does the job perfectly fine as SnV. I usually have it with t work with some other flavors, but I mainly grab for this one. Bonus: This was the recipe that made me like CAP Sugar Cookie as I hated it before. Good shit!
User: NordicFlavours Score: 5 Entered: 10 months ago
Despite the age of this recipe, it still works! Nice solid buttery cinnamon taste. I each for this a few times a week when I really want to indulge myself. Good stuff!
User: NordicFlavours Score: 5 Entered: 10 months ago
This is some serious good stuff. I was a little sceptical at first with the 1.5% INW biscuit, as we are so used to this around 0.5%, but I must say that the CAP Vanilla Custard really combats the dryness INW Biscuit usually has. So a very easy and tasty recipe the Developed boys has made here.

Pretty fresh, summery and good for when you need a fresh break from desserts! I had my worries on the VT Sour Lemon turning soapy, but to my surprise it didn't. I did add 2 drops of super sweet into a 30ML and I find it keeps it fresh a tad longer. This works perfectly fine on its own, but I can definitely see this one being tinkered with, so as a base it's awesome too. Good job, Dico!
User: NordicFlavours Score: 5 Entered: 8 months ago
This is actually pretty neat! FLV Mango and CAP Lemon Lime does go very well together. There's no BS with this recipe and I love it. You get what's on the label. For a 30ML I added 2 drops of CAP Super Sweet to make it just a little bit more poppin'. easy simpel delicious recipe. Oh and if Mr. Bellows says it's yours, then it's yours.

When I stumbled over this recipe, two warnings signs immediately flashed in my mind: The 1.5% INW Biscuit and CAP Funnel Cake, as INW Biscuit tends to get very dry and CAP Funnel Cake has a terrible habit of turning into play dough. But you know what? They oddly work great in this recipe! No dryness, no odd off-notes of play dough. It's a very enjoyable vape that had me vapin' it for two days straight.
User: NordicFlavours Score: 5 Entered: 6 months ago
This is some seriously good shit. Pizza and dawg has succeeded in using HHGv1 (R.I.P) with something a RY4 normally don't go with. It's nicely balanced recipe and oddly, that VT Shisha Lime pairs perfectly with HHGv1. The cheesecake trinity does what it does and just fits. This is one dirty lime cheesecake and I love it. A good solid old school eyemakepizza recipe, before he turned into a self-loathing baby-making ice cream lunatic.
User: NordicFlavours Score: 5 Entered: 6 months ago
I fail to see, how I can be the first to review this. Because oh dear lord, this is fantastic! Even though it's a very simpel recipe only using one cola to run the show, it does it gracefully. FA Cola brings both the nice - almost too sweet, and a good amount of fizz. The little touch of cinnamon was a clever move here as it adds some great dimension to the mix. But the INW Marzipan is the winner in this mix. What it does to the remaining ingredients is just fantastic! The cooling I sadly had to sub, as it's very difficult to find DS around here, let alone DS Ice, but a little WS-23 did the trick.

It's kiwi, it's lemon, it's fizzy and it's juicy. It paints a picture of a perfect summer and better times before you're stuck in economic bill-hell, that the grown up life is all about.

This is a pretty enjoyable vape actually and a great attempt for a first recipe. Obviously, the mixer could have gone down a much deeper route with the milk, but it kinda works with FLV Cream and FA Meringue combo.
User: NordicFlavours Score: 5 Entered: 17 days ago
This was a pleasent vape to try! I was a bit on the fence about the profile, but I had to try it and I'm glad that I did. It's round in flavor, the cinnamon aren't very aggressive, but adds a nice warm spice note to the mango. Very smooth and delicious recipe for sure.
