Finally picked up INW Lemon Cake and it is pretty tasty. And what better way to eat lemon cake than with blueberry.
Blueberry - FLV Blueberry Muffin to add a baked blueberry and FW Blueberry to add just a bit of brightness to the blueberry
Lemon Cake - INW Lemon Cake alone makes up the cake layer. It is a bit light on texture but seems to come across here.
Frosting - VT Vanilla Buttercream Frosting for a great cream frosting, VT Sweet Cream for mouthfeel and FA Meringue for added sweetness.
This is early in the process but after 3 days, it seems pretty full flavored. It still needs a longer steep test, which may require some tweaking later.
A sweet pineapple candy with a nice chewy texture, similar to those tasty, chewy candy cubes that are coated with sugar (like in the thumbnail). I wanted a very pineapple forward candy and I think this accomplishes that.
Pineapple - CAP Golden Pineapple for a sweet candy pineapple and FLV Pineapple for more of a realistic note but still candy enough to work here. TPA Dragonfruit just to fill in some gaps and still add a hint of Pineapple gummy.
Candy - CAP 27 Bears is a great flavour, and seems to lean towards pineapple so I thought it would be a good match. FA Candy Wizard to add the gummy mouth feel and a great texture.
I added a fair bit of sweetener here with .75%. I actually upped it to 1% early on in the batches but it felt a bit too sweet for my tastes. But, people who have tried it, liked it with the higher amount.
My take on a Grapefruit, Apple & Pineapple Juice.
Grapefruit - FLV Pink Guava gives a great realistic Grapefruit flavour that stays on the palate throughout the vape.
Apple - CAP Fuji & CAP Double Apple combo gives a delicious, yet light apple brightness to add some complexity to the mix.
Pineapple - INW Pineapple provides a realistic pineapple flavour & CAP Golden Pineapple adds the artificial sweetness flavour.
I added TFA Cotton Candy for some brightness and feel free to add your desired amount of sweetner and(or) cooling.
After my 4th time mixing Apple Deepthroat by Shyndo, I did a search for some Apple Cider recipes that I could take one of my favourite mixes and tweak it a bit and incorporate some bakery. After finding a list of actual Apple Cider recipes they had a Doughnut and I thought that it might be an interesting mix. After several iterations I am pretty happy with this.
Apple Cider - HS Apple Mix, FA Fuji, FLV Rich Cinnamon, FA Liquid Amber
Doughnut - FA Zeppola, WF Deep Fried Pastry Dough SC, TPA Butter
I needed a break from all the dessert/bakery vapes so decided on a berry fruit salad. So after a quite a few versions I came up with this delicious berry vape that really tilts towards the purple side.
The Purple - INW Plum is a new concentrate for me and it is surprisingly great, It seems to get bullied by HS Blueberry so I really had to take down the blueberry. TFA Blackberry is my favourite blackberries and at this %, it adds just a touch of bitterness that works well here.
The Red - Somewhat hidden in the background are the tasty FA Juicy Strawberry & INW Raspberry. They seem to add a bit of brightness to the dark berries and gives it a bit more body with some subtle tasty accents.
INW Pineapple is there just to add brightness and tame some of the bitterness from the Plum & Blackberry.
FLV Milk & Honey is used to give a hint of cream while also sweetening the mix.
Very good off the shake. Give it a mix and I'm sure you'll enjoy!
I was testing out the Purilum Cheesecake flavours and came up with this delicious creamy cheesecake. This is pretty straight forward, and the flavours don't need much explaination. I added Devon Cream to add a tasty, thick whipping cream to the cheesecake. All these flavours require about a weeks steep to come together.
A crispy cookie with a strawberry jam centre, like nana used to make.
The cookie: FA Cookie and TPA GCC - Adds the cookie base you quickly inhale to get to the gooey strawberry centre. I wanted a crispy cookie rather than a fluffy sugar cookie.
The filling: FA Red Touch, INW Shisha Strawberry & JF Strawberry Sweet. Used the holy trinity of strawberries from ID10-T's Strawberry Slurp here which makes for a delicious strawberry jam filling.
The powdered sugar: OOO powdered sugar - speaks for itself. But this flavour is pretty great.
CAP Sugar Cookie / INW Biscuit / TPA Brown Sugar - The crumble. I tried with a mix of INW Biscuit and FA Cookie at a few different percentages but It just wouldn't play nice ... enter Sugar Cookie. With the Brown Sugar, Biscuit and Sugar Cookie it adds that sweet pastry crumble that ended up being the best combo for the mix.
FLV Boysenberry / TPA Blackberry - A sweet and tart combination that makes up the sweet filling in the crumble. I went through a few different berries to mix with the Boysenberry. I tried FA Raspberry, FA Forrest Fruits, INW Raspberry then I tried TFA Blackberry and found a good match.
The FA Blackcurrant is just there to give the filling a bit of jam like feeling and stickiness. The FA Blood Orange is really subtle and is there only to add a bit of orange zest to the mix.
You won't taste the Crumble part until at least day 2. Let this rest for 3-5 days.
I enjoyed EdibleMalfunction's Blue Raspberry candy so I decided to try and take it in a little bit of a different direction. I took his/her use of Raspberry and Peach, to create the Blue Raspberry flavour. And gave it an extra kick with the Blue Raspberry Cotton Candy. I also changed the CAP Jelly Candy to 27 Bears as I really enjoy the flavour and the gummy mouthfeel. I have tested with CAP Jelly Candy and it is really good as well.
The butter tart ... the quintessential Canadian dessert!
Most of these tarts contain raisins, but to that I say NUTZ! A Pecan to be exact. Pecan tarts are my absolute favourite and I could probably live on these if they didn't contain about a million calories each.
Version 2, Removed CAP VC1 and replaced w/ INW Custard, Added sweetness with Brown Sugar and added Pie Crust for more texture.
INW Biscuit / TPA Pie Crust / CAP Sugar Cookie - Make up the flakey goodness that is the outside pastry of the tart.
FW Butter Pecan / INW Custard / CAP Butter Cream / TPA Brown Sugar - The sweet gooey deliciousness that makes up the inside of the tart
FA Hazel Grove - Just gives the impression that you are biting into a nut that tops the tart.
This recipe benefits greatly with additional Acetyl Pyrazine - I add .5 - .75 which adds additional flakiness to the pastry.
