This recipe is not meant to cause anyone to buy CAP Apple Pie V2. It's not a good enough recipe for that. I'm only sharing it in case you are a person who happens to already have CAP Apple Pie V2 and loves bourbon. To give all three of us who fit in that narrow category something enjoyable to do with it, I guess.
The first time I tried CAP Apple Pie V1 it reminded me so strongly of some Apple Pie Moonshine I had once that I thought, I wonder if this is what they used to flavor that moonshine. Except that it's a weirdly creamy flavor. Then I tried V2, much less creamy, and exactly like whatever flavoring went into that moonshine. There isn't a moonshine flavor, and if there was I probably wouldn't want to use it, but there are bourbon flavors, and I love them. So here's Apple Pie Bourbon, made simply.
The reasons for the three Bourbons are this
TFA brings the sweet taste that bourbon gets from the corn used to make it. The other two are lacking that.
FLV brings the charred oak barrel aging that the other two are missing.
VT makes it super boozy in a way the other two just don't. If you don't want it that boozy, pull back on the VT a little.
