Yammy Custard #VAPICON Mixers Club

My special tip for all friends of extraordinary previously unknown worlds of taste.

I wanted to create my first Custard recipe and thought something would be feasible. It should be something special - and not another strawberry or vanilla custard. Since I'm a fan of pumpkin soup and every now and then sweet potatoes as a special accent in the kitchen, I thought to myself, I've never made anything with FLV Yam before. The yam is actually African, but is said to be very similar to sweet potato. So why not try something special again!!!

In the first step, I mixed yam together with Vanilla Custard, Vanilla Pudding, Rich Cinnamon, Smoked Butterscotch and Marshmallow. After changing the mix ratios, Sugar Orchid was then added for a very special sweet accent. But something was still missing: So I tried different things and Eggnog fits in damn well. Still, there was a little something missing, even after I used a little more cinnamon. Some spice still had to go in there: Ginger! That's right, it was.

In the meantime, I like it very much this way! I hope fans of classic custard aren't disappointed. It is a very unique interpretation.

Mein besonderer Tipp für alle Freunde von außergewöhnlichen bisher unbekannten Geschmackswelten.

Ich wollte mein erstes Custard-Rezept kreieren und dachte etwas nach, was da machbar wäre. Es sollte etwas besonderes sein - und nicht ein weiterer Erdbeer-oder Vanilla-Custard. Da ich ein Fan von Kürbissuppe und hin und wieder auch Süßkartoffeln als besonderer Akzent in der Küche bin, dachte ich mir: Mit FLV Yam habe ich noch nie etwas gemacht. Die Jamswurzel ist eigentlich afrikanisch, soll aber sehr ähnlich zur Süßkartoffel sein. Also warum nicht mal wieder etwas spezielles ausprobieren?!

Im ersten Schritt habe ich Yam zusammen mit Vanilla Custard, Vanilla Pudding, Rich Cinnamon, Smoked Butterscotch und Marshmallow gemixt. Nach einer Änderung der Mischungsverhältnisse kam dann noch Sugar Orchid hinzu, um einen ganz besonderen süßen Akzent zu setzen. Aber irgend etwas fehlte da noch: Also habe ich verschiedenes probiert und Eggnog passt da verdammt gut rein. Trotzdem fehlte noch eine Kleinigkeit, selbst nachdem ich etwas mehr Zimt verwendet habe. Irgendein Gewürz musste da noch rein: Ingwer! Genau, das war es.

Mittlerweile gefällt es mir sehr gut so! Ich hoffe, Fans von klassischem Custard sind nicht enttäuscht. Es ist eine sehr eigenwillige Interpretation.
