My experiments with African Horned Cucumber continue. This recipe is based on a recipe for an African Horned Cucumber sauce recipe:
It is an interesting mix of fruits with spice. I really enjoyed it.
This recipe must be steeped 2 weeks.
I forgot to write the description when I was testing it, and all I remember is that it was pretty good.
An African Horned Cucumber gin cocktail inspired by this recipe: http://fruitmaven.com/2010/02/minty-blowfish-kiwano-cocktail/
After my first experiment with African Horned Cucumber, I was determined to tame the beast, and researched how the fruit was used in cooking. This recipe was intriguing. The mint and gin are strong enough to balance the African Horned Cucumber, and it takes its place as a team player.
Tested on Digiflavor Siren 2 with 1 ohm ss316 at 16 watts
This is a bright vibrant tropical profile that is mango forward that transition to the tangerine and finishes with a slightly tart pineapple. and sweetness of the African horned cucumber
Tested on a reaload RDA at 65 watts
This mix is a collaboration between MECH MOD RN and Queer Your vape https://alltheflavors.com/users/QueerYourVape
island Mango is a a very ""orange" full and sweet ripe mango that is juicy and sits in the front of this mix
african horned cucumber has sweet honey - melon notes that are combined with a cucumber, this combination adds some body and wetness to the mix
pineapple candy is a candy like pineapple that sits a bit on top , and backs into the mix after a day or so
tangerine add some more of that orange note and helps to fill in the middle of this mix as the mango is front end of the mix
lemon lime soda adds the needed citrus to contrast the ripe fruit and adds a wetness as a beverage and mixer
My thanks to Mark Turner for his help with this recipe.
African Horned Cucumber is a unique flavor. It seems rather herbal to me after steeping. It blends well with the citrus flavors, but is definitely the dominant flavor in this recipe. The African Horned Cucumber flavor changes dramatically with time. It starts out very "orangy," and is very unappealing after steeping about a week, but the second week, this recipe comes to its own. It really hit the spot for me when I was bored with my typical flavors.
Note: After vaping this for a while, I decided it needed more lemon, so it has been added to the original recipe.
Tested on Digiflavor Siren 2 at 1.0 ohm 316 ss
Tested later at higher wattage (40), and it had more flavor
This is the third of the 3 mixes I took with me to Vape Expo Nantes in March 2019. I was kindly offered the possibility to go sponsored by Wonder Flavours and I took the opportunity. The best part is, Frank also made sure I received the whole line of Wonder Flavours flavorings.
This mix being for the second biggest French expo, I decided to only use Wonder Flavours TPD ready flavorings. I just love exotic flavors and tropical drinks. They're my favorite things to vape and I couldn't pass on these lovely fruits by WF.
I want to thank MB ( https://alltheflavors.com/users/MECH_MOD_RN ) who helped developed and test these recipes !
WF Island Mango/WF Tangerine/WF Pineapple Candy = The Island Mango is just so sweet and so ripe it will hurt your teeth in the best way. The pineapple candy is very very pineapple, sweet and sugary, but the candy feeling will recess after 5-7 days. The tangerine comes mostly at the end of the vape for a nice little touch of tang that is welcome.
WF African Horned Cucumber/WF Lemon Lime Soda = If you're familiar with TPA Dragon Fruit or INW Cactus, then you'll understand right away what African Horned Cucumber does. It's a juicy flesh flavoring that will turn any tropical fruit you pair it with into a juice. The Lemon Lime soda doubles up to turn this into a nice drink but also to support the tangerine's little twist of acidity.
It's a yellow mix, sweet on the tongue and with a little tang on at the end. Consume without moderation on the shake, or a few days later, it'll do the job.
Enjoy, be queer & vape on !!

This is supposed to be a juicy, fleshy mango nectar with a dash of rind and tart lime to balance the sweetness of the mango.
WF Island Mango/TPA Mango make the actual fruit. WF Island Mango is very very sweet, and it needs a little body so TPA Mango helps there. I wouldn't use TPA Mango alone for mango, but if you want to get something out of it, 3% is a minimum.
WF African Horned Cucumber is here to give you juiciness. Where you would use TPA Dragonfruit or INW Cactus, you can use WF African Horned Cucumber, especially for yellow flavor profiles.
Cap Lemon Lime is the tartness. Lime loves mango in general, but here, the mango would be too ripe without it.
Enjoy, be queer & vape on !
