Orange Black Licorice ice cream.
A ribbon of black licorice swirled into an orange-flavored ice cream base gives this tiger its stripes.
Theres no need to re-invent the wheel so i used the trinity of Vanilla Ice Cream TPA Vanilla Swirl+ LB Vanilla Ice Cream + HS French Vanilla ice cream and added VTA Orange marmalade to give a bit of tangy zesty orange notes in combination with CAP Juicy Orange, as being a ver flat orange flavour works really well in this ice cream.
The interesting notes are given by the mixture of Licorice, FW ( Candy type) and CAP( More towards a clean Licorice Flavour).
Dont be afraid of getting too much licorice as it is pretty blended in the cream.
A creamy dark chocolate with a light cinnamon and orange note made for fresh 03 Saturday show. The mix is based of this recipe
NOTE if you like a sweeter hot chocolate feel free to add .5 of CAP super sweet
on the inhale a sweet buttery vanilla cake cookie that transitions to a sweet slightly tart orange
Tested on a Relaod RDA at 65 watts with a alien col
Sa madaline is a lovely and could probably go a bit higher is you want more of a cake note, but the the angel cake fills it out and adds light vanilla note
Aura will add a nice citrus zest note that works in this mix
Orange marmalade and golden syrup combine to had a honey orange note on the back end
I wanted to try and see how close I could get to the an actually curd rather then a pudding or custard and I think this is pretty darn close to that sweet and sticky tart lemon curd. I am happy with this as it is pretty much what I had in mind.
This was mixed for the PRIDE fundraiser, for the Ali Forney center for LBGTQ homeless youth on Fresh03 channel https://youtu.be/5Xa1eZqfwK8
The Lemon Square is pretty much full on lemon curd with alight bakery but needs some support to help it fill out - so this is the base for this mix
Custard by FA is the perfect custard to bring out some of the egg notes with a light lemon note
Fe lemon, and lemon Sicily bring a solid realistic lemon and a nice bit of lemon zest. VT sour lemon helps to carry that lemon to the finish with a bit of a tart note
Orange marmalade helps to add some depth to the lemon with some sweetness and sticky mouth feel
27 bears supports the sticky mouth feel that you get from a curd ( thanks @mlNikon I think it worked well )
NOTE: I added .5% of cap sweetner to help bring out the top notes of the lemon , and it really helps to give that super sweet versus a tart contrast , you can also bump that VT sour lemon to 3% of you really want more of a tart note. That tart note will dissipate some so this is best vaped with in the week of mixing , if you like a sour mix/
Coming from a place with a burning desire to make something unique, delicious, warm and makes you feel comforted. This is a hybrid recipe created with a blend of flavours that I imagined would offer warmth and comfort. That is what this mix is about. Sure there is technique here, but what I would rather you the mixer do is mix this and with each vape of this, try and pick out how each flavour plays and how it melds. Pull it apart by single flavour testing each flavour. See how each flavour works with another at these percentages.
That is mixing, real DIY mixing IMO.
The only thing that will be burning besides your desire for more will be your battery power as you enjoy this vape full of richness and balanced flavours that don't really belong together,
but somehow they do.
This is Campfire!
IMO this is a very pleasant and enjoyable vape on a single coil RDA at 60W with a SST Alien single coil at 0.2 ohm
Steep Time 5 Days for best results.
I hope you enjoy this just as much as I enjoyed creating this little recipe, but let me know what you thought in the comments below.
Seriously if you like a solid recipe that works give it a go!
Cheers for reading this far, now go and get mixing!
