Like the rest of this series, I'm going for a simple full flavored pineapple.
Pineapples. INW Pineapple and SSA Thai Pineapple make a great combo for reaching a rich pineapple flavor. WF Pineapple Candy gives the combo a contrasting candy note to support the main two.
MB Pineapple Lassi here is a further bolstering of the pineapple flavor, but also to lend a blending creamy note to help fill mouth feel. TPA Vanilla Swirl is used here in the same capacity.
After making a first version I realized it needed a bit of a sour bump, so I added VT Sour Lemon to give that just a little lift.
Add some sweetener and boom, we are off to the races. This recipe came together quick and I didn't try other pineapples. I knew INW and the MB played well together, but the SSA just adds a bump to the INW natural profile. I'm sure some of them can be subbed out.
This is great right off the shake, in a few days the creaminess is going to bloom and over take the pineapple for a bit. It really becomes a soft serve pineapple ice cream. Then the cream settles back down after a week or so and the pineapple comes forward again.
I have a weird pallet. Fruits and creams seem to be my thing. This is also my first published recipe so be kind.
My favorite fruit is a Pineberry. It's like a pineapple and strawberry had a illegitimate love child. I made that happen and tossed in kiwi, zeppola, and cream for this fresh from the farm fair vape.
Tpa strawberry ripe and strawberry gummy prop each other up as I'm strawberry mute to a degree.
Add in some kiwi for a more lush mouth feel and sweetness.
I went with ssa Thai pineapple for the full body it provides to round out the fruits.
The creams are light in this recipe and the zeppola just adds a hint of depth.
Huge shout out to the guys and gals and pals on the discord who helped me figure mixing things out.
This is a fairly easy recipe which was the result of me SFT'ing SSA Thai Pineapple, which is an absolutely fantastic pineapple, and immediately wanting it in a bakery. The MB Yellow cake was something I had stf'd and have been wanting to work with. I like it a touch better than the JF yellow cake or fj, whatever the hell they call themselves. The compote cherry fits really well into this recipe as its a light cooked cherry, but used this low its not exactly syrupy. I had originally mixed this without the TFA butter and thought it lacked butter. This is pretty tasty off the shake, but after 6-7 days it gets really good. The difference between day 5 and 6 is pretty evident, the yellow cake really comes out at this point.
One of my favorite flavors was Mr. Magic from BlueDot. It's a pineapple, strawberry, and coconut flavor profile but different from the Lava Flow recipes that I tried out.
I went through many different pineapple combinations to find something that's sweet, tart, and acidic. I believe the combination of these 3 pineapples brings a great flavor profile to the table where there's a tiny bit of added funk on the backend from the SSA Thai Pineapple. The original doesn't have this, but I think it works better than in the original. The original likely used CAP Golden Pineapple and TFA Pineapple for acidity, but I did not have TFA so I wanted to replicate the acidity another way.
Most Lava Flow recipes will have strawberry at the forefront, but this has pineapple at the forefront instead. I tried many different combinations of strawberries but came back to this one. The way the TFA strawberry fades after a few days is similar to how the original juice is. The strawberry fades but the deeper fruity notes stay and melds it all together. I tried different combinations of JF Strawberry Sweet, INW Shisha Strawberry, CNV Strawberry, FA Red Touch, and WF Strawberry Baked.
Some of the other strawberries taste better off the shake, but I found that none of them taste as good (to me) after a few days. The way TFA fades is exactly what I was going after, but if you're not looking for a flavor that fades something like JF Strawberry Sweet might be a better option.
FLV Sweet Coconut and FA Coco just weren't coming through enough on a tank for me, so I went with more prominent coconut flavors. I know there are some suntan lotion tasters out there and 1% coconut extra might be too much for you. You can adjust down to 0.75% or 0.5% to help with that if needed. I find that as the strawberry fades, so does the slight suntan lotion taste.
Everything should come together after about 2 days of steeping. The juice might not be the most creative or tasty, but it was a long-term ADV for me and I wanted to have it on hand when I wanted that profile. It's tangy, acidic, and sweet with some coconut and fruit notes.
If you've been looking for a tropical vape and like pineapples, give this one a try! It works great in a sub-ohm tank and I'd imagine does well in a pod as well. It did not translate well to an RDA for me. I tested on a Fireluke FreeMax 2 @ 27 watts with 0.5ohm coils.
