Years ago, after trying someone's Honey Pearry remix (Pear, Honeydew, some Strawberry) and tweaking it to my liking, one of the first things I wanted to do was make a mango version. Unfortunately for me, that was before FLV Mango and other great mango flavors even existed, and my attempts were so bad I had to give up and settle for a peach version. I've finally revisited that old desire, and making a juicy, sweet honeydew/pear with a nice mango top note proved easy thanks to the combination of FLV Mango and VT Shisha Mango. The INW Prickly Pear makes it extra juicy while enhancing both the pear and melon aspects.
It's that old Honey Pearry by the Vapor Chef profile - honeydew and pear with a hint of strawberry, with some new twists.
TFA Honeydew is already outrageously juicy, and I've enjoyed recipes that use INW Cactus to make it even juicier. But if you do that, you have to deal with the taste of INW Cactus. Enter the new INW Prickly Pear. It's almost as juicy as Cactus. I don't think it actually tastes like prickly pear fruit, though it might if mixed with something like CAP Sweet Guava. But, I digress. It really tastes like some kind of juicy, sweet apple/melon blend. Which makes it a perfect complement for honeydew/pear. Next, cooling. The Honeydew-Pear pairing was already a fantastic summer juice because it's so juicy and refreshing, but I never thought to add cooling to it back in the day because Koolada/Polar Blast never seemed like it would be a good fit. Add some WS-23, though... wow.
You like strap on recipes? How about a prickly strap on? Sounds painful? Well, i'ts actually pretty tasty.
Since I've received Inawera's Prickly Pear in my last order, I've been tinkering around with it a fair bit. Searching for a nice fit for a great flavor. And this is what I came up with. Many iterations later, this is my (for the foreseeable future) final version of the Prickly Strap On!
INW Prickly Pear:
The main flavor. It's a bit like INW Cactus, but sweeter and more fruity. Just a great single flavor that, as it turns out, mixes really well with other ingredients.
FA Red Summer & CAP Sweet Watermelon:
The first versions of this recipe only had Capella's Sweet Watermelon, and tough being pretty good on it's own, it really drowned in the other flavors. This is where FA's Red Summer comes in. Those two combined give the recipe a very nice watermelon base.
CAP Sweet Strawberry & INW Shisha Strawberry:
A similar story as mentioned with the watermelon, but this time I felt like the INW's Shisha Strawberry needed a little boost, and CAP's Sweet Strawberry really helps. I've also tried TPA's Strawberry and Strawberry (Ripe) in previous batches, but didn't liked it at all.
My apple of choice. As many of you probably know, this flavor can be very overpowering. This is why there are no other apple flavors in here. In my opinion, this suffices to get the apple across in the recipe.
I usually mix it with 0.5% WS-23 (10% dilution in PG). It's very sweet on it's own, so I don't recommend using any sweeteners.
But I'm not your dad, so make your own decision on that.
It's nice right off the shake, but for the full flavor experience I would recommend a 3 day steep at least.
I hope you find as much enjoyment with this recipe as I have, and have a nice vape!
Really tasty recipe with some unusual flavors, all Inawera!
Doing a recipe with aloe flavoring was on my bucket list for quite a long time since I've tasted some great commercial ones including it on a vaping expo. The only problem: It's really hard to find in my vicinity. So I bit the bullet and made an order directly from Inawera after finding out they have it. The next question I had to answer: What flavors does one combine with aloe? This is what I came up with, and I'm really excited to share this fine recipe with you all! I'm pretty much stunned how well it all fits together and I really advise you to try it if you can get your hands on all the ingredients.
INW Aloe: The main ingredient, obviously. 4.5% is an ideal fit here, has a lot of presence but does not drone out the other flavors.
INW Prickly Pear: Just a perfect companion flavor for the aloe. It's like these two were made for another. 3% is enough to get the flavor across, I would not increase it.
INW Pitaya: Can easily be subbed with CAP Dragon Fruit or TPA Dragon Fruit, but I was curious how Inawera's offering fairs against these two, and, just in my humble opinion, I think it's superior to both.
INW Cactus: It's a well known fact that a little bit of this can give most fruit recipes that special something, but in this mix it's also a nice boost to the taste of the Prickly Pear.
I like to add 1% WS-23 (10% dilution in PG). You can decrease the amount or leave it out completely, you call.
This can be SNV, but the WS-23 fully kicks in after a 3 day steep.
It was a lot of fun coming up with this recipe. Hope you enjoy and have a nice vape!
I really really like VT Mangosteen it’s definitely easier to work with than FA Mangosteen which ends up tasting like some sort of body spray my fiancé would use ... Vt Mangosteen is a floral fresh mangosteen (never had IRL) kinda like the mangosteen in that Snapple Drink , I took my base from Prickly Dragon and made some subs such as the JF Fugi and The VT Red Fuji Apple simply because I cant taste FA Fuji right now (Vapors Tongue Sucks) give this one 3-4 days and it really starts popping and getting refreshing but you can SNV Hope You Enjoy , Comments and Feedback is always appreciated.... Fuck any type of Vape Ban
Fuck a Flavor Ban
Sweetener = Cap Super Sweet 1 drop per 30 ml (Only Thing i measure in drops)
Coolness to liking
Was inspired by u/Stayberts soda recipes so i made one with the flavor that im a shill for Inw Prickly Pear
FLV- Citrus Soda - Just try one of Stayberts recipes with this one and youll know why i used it =]
FA- Fuji - I used the fuji as the body for this one to help the Prickly Pear and also goes nicely with the FLV Citrus Soda
Cap- Double Apple - i wanted to boost the peel notes in the mix this also helped provide some body
Inw-Prickly Pear- when i got this one i knew i was gunna have alot of fun with it that hybrid (melon/apple) with the same juiciness as INW cactus give that pop
FLV- Wild Melon- this boosts the prickly pear and provides some sweetness
Cap-Hibiscus- Thanks to u/EdibleMalfunction I know how to use this one properly without it this mix just tastes like a flat soda this provide some syruppy goodness that this mix needs
I really hope you enjoy if you have any suggestions or make a remix let me know =]
Balerion is the dragon that Aegon used to conquer the seven kingdoms (just a little GoT lore now that the show is over) You see its skull (dragons are neither male no female) in the show Under the red keep... So honestly was mixing up single flavor testers for the OOO Dragonfruit(Like Inw dragonfruit but sweeter) & INW Prickly Pear (Think of Inw Cactus with all its juicy attributes expect it has a kind of melon-y aspect to it), I got the bottles mixed up and ended up putting both into the same bottle was a delicious mistake to me kinda of tastes like a melon hi chew, this had a good amount of flavor )for such a low percentage of flavor that but was lacking some body which is why the FA Apple Fuji (Fuji Apple) is in there it brings another level of juiciness. The JF Sweet Strawberry adds sweetness and IMO make everything pop along with the cap double apple which is there to also support the Fuji .I previously had Cap Tart Cherry (0.25%) in this and it was holding this recipe back IMO. I have been working on this recipe for about 2-3 months I am finally at a point where I can say ive explored this profile enough and finalize =]
Add Sweetener to taste but i used 1 drop of FW Sweetener & 1 drop of TPA Sweet & Tart
