A ripe golden delicious apple. Juicy, warm golden delicious apple flesh with a light peel note on the tail end.

TPA Quince- Used for the juicy apple/pear volume of the fruit. The spicier top notes help reinforce the lingering peel.

INW Cherimoya- A sweaty overripe tropical banana flavor, used to convey the ripeness and the warmth of an apple that's just barely on the cusp of being overripe. Adds some creaminess to the overall mix, keeping the juiciness of the Quince and Cactus from reading like straight apple juice.

INW Cactus- Used primarily for the wetness and to keep the vape pleasant. At this percentage, smooths the throat hit from the cherimoya and quince. Any green aloe notes push toward to back end of the exhale and bolster the peel. A bit recognizable S&V, it calms down and homogenizes well overnight.

Prickly Pear Fruit

Why did Baloo, the bear from Disney’s original Jungle Book, love prickly pears so much that he included them in a song about “the simple bare necessities of life?” Because the prickly pear cactus’ fragrant fruit is among nature’s most succulent sweet treats. If it weren’t for the spines making them painfully difficult to harvest and prepare, these marvelous magenta fruits might be eaten to extinction. The fruit of the prickly pear cactus tastes nothing like the plant that bears them. Those paddles that look like the tails of demonic green beavers, also known as nopales, are vegetables that taste like a cross between INW Cactus and green beans, with hints of okra and bell pepper. The prickly pear fruit, however, taste more than anything like some kind of all-natural watermelon bubblegum, and they combine sweet juiciness with just enough of a sharp tangy bite like that of a not-quite-ripe strawberry to make them mouthwatering and keep you wanting more.

CAP Sweet Guava alone tastes halfway like prickly pear, nearly as much as it does an actual guava, because it has that same bubblegummyness of a prickly pear. It also has a bit of tartness that’s not like citrus fruit, but more like a barely-ripe berry or slightly sour grape, just like the prickly pear. It forms the thick, syrupy base of this recipe. The FA Watermelon blends with that base to evoke the unique flavor of the prickly pear and is the only watermelon flavor authentic enough to mix with Sweet Guava and not be a one-way ticket to Candyland. But for all its unmatched natural flavor, FA Watermelon falls short in a big way. It’s terribly dry, very nearly watermelon jerky. No problem, thanks to FA Pear. The prickly pear, despite it’s name, doesn’t taste at all like a pear, but the actual pear flavor of FA Pear is overwhelmed by the much heavier guava and the higher concentration of FA Watermelon, so all that’s left is extra juicy goodness to rehydrate the recipe.

A refreshingly simple take on a classic Strawberry and Pear liquid. The pair of Pears are beautifully subtle, sweet, and have just the right amount of complexity that combine perfectly with the ripe Strawberry sweetness. You get an amazing combo of Pear up front that's reinforced by sweet Strawberry goodness. Basic. Just how I like my women.

TFA and FA Pear: TFA's version, to me, is earthy, almost gritty, and slightly sweet. While TFA Pear is a decent Pear on it's own, I feel that it lacks a few things that I look for in a Pear. This is where FA's version comes in. FA Pear gives us this juicy, refreshing, crisp, and lingering sweetness that combines with the TFA Pear to create a more complete Pear profile. This 3.5:1 ratio of FA to TFA is my go to when it comes to Pear.

TFA Strawberry Ripe: The king of Strawberries. I chose to use this flavor at 4.5% because I wanted my Strawberry to be present, but sit a bit more on the back end while lending loads of sweetness and that "pink" flavor. Now, I know this flavor isn't the most realistic Strawberry, but what we want here is a versatile Strawberry that will allow the Pear to be the main star while still having that sugary, complex, and slightly creamy Strawberry taste. It also helps that this flavor has a good amount of maltol that will give us sweetness since this is a shake and vape recipe contest. There was really no other choice here in terms of Strawberry.

I hope you enjoy my simple take on this classic combination of fruits. Thank you for holding this contest and y'all are fuckin dope!

This is a combo of bilberry and raspberry as you can see in the ingredients. Together they form a sweet and tart marriage that is very satisfying on the palette. I wanted to add sweetness without using sucralose so I added fig which adds sweetness and a little complexity to the mix. Enjoy

Best mixed at 70VG/ 30PG.

I'm going for the ultimate summer time profile...obviously you could enhance this recipe with koolada, sour, menthol or eucalyptus..the list is forever but the main profile is a superfruit so beautiful you just want to drink it...I call it a blood mango.

Mango, Orange and raspberry you wont look back...

(FLV) Mango is hands down the best mango flavour to use in a fruit mix, there is just something about it that gives you a perfect rendition of a beautifully 'just ripe' mango ready to eat. in this recipe, the way it dances with the orange will leave you questioning what you think you know about fruits.

(FW) Blood Orange - The first time I tried to make this recipe I used FA Orange - This flavor just did not work for me at all and I found it to be quite harsh with almost a chemical, artificial taste. With (FW) Blood Orange the clouds parted and the Mango and Orange simply fell in love with each other.

(INW) Raspberry - Well what can I say, this flavour in any fruit mix at a low percentage will just add another dimension and not distract you from the main profile. I find that in this recipe the raspberry really helps the mango shine and gives it an almost brighter, tart note...you'll just have to see for yourself.

I wanted to get a good Papaya taste. It's a fruit that you do not see used a lot, and while I think FA Papaya is good, too much of it can get kinda funky. I also wanted a bit of sweetness to it without overwhelming the mix. I opted to enhance it with both Inawera exotic and FA coconut. The exotic while listed as pineapple pom and mango, I get a hint of papaya from it, maybe it's just me. The FA coconut puts a little balance in this. My goal was simple, a good smooth fruit vape without sweetener added and to utilize ingredients outside my comfort zone in low%

This is a mix that showcases the sheer beauty and delight of Passion fruit! Not a ton of mixers use this flavor, but it is incredibly versatile, blending well with teas, creams, and lots of other fruits. An Exotic fruit, it is bright and sweet but has a bit of an acidic edge.
To showcase this fruit, I put it front and center. Because it can be so bright, I wanted to add some earthiness and depth, which is where the fig comes in. It gives the passion fruit dimension without detracting from it's beauty. Last, I added the caramel, to enhance the natural sweetness of the fruits and take the acid of the passion fruit down a smidge so that it can be enjoyed all day.

Dewy-Granate is a fresh and IMO realistic tasting mix of honeydew melon and pomegranate. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

FA Pomegranate
FA's Pomegranate is my favorite pomegranate flavor, because it is so close to the actual fruit. It's both sweet and tart and has a hint of bitterness, like the original fruit. It is not so easy to blend in fruit mixes, because it easily overwhelms a lot of other fruits. But I found it works pretty good in this mix.

INW Melon & CAP Cantaloupe
The combination of these two melon flavors gave the best result for a realistic honeydew melon flavor. INW Melon is a bit strong, so I used it at a low percentage. It has the tendency to be a bit "throaty" in the fresh mix, which goes away after a few days of steep.

Notes: mixed at 80/30 (VG/PG). Steep: minimum steep over night, best after 2-4 days.

This profile is a Tangerine Plum coupled together by Dragonfruit. This very different fruit combo punches you right on the tongue. That CAP Sweet Tangerine rides right up front and is carried throughout on the coat tail of TFA Dragonfruit then finishes the experience pushing the TFA Plum out on the back note.

This is the 2nd DIYorDIE World's. Top mixers from around the world will battle it out in a series of rounds displaying their skills crafting recipes under strict circumstances and restrictions. This competition will test the skills of the mixers, giving only a small amount of time for recipe development and steep times for the eliquids. Because of the HUGE cash prize, and a lot on the line, judging will be harsh and critical. All recipes from the competition will be released to the public so the audience can mix along. The purpose of this competition is to find the best and most passionate mixer of the group, and give them the push they need to take their mixing to another level with a nice boost of cold hard cash. And also, it's fun to watch mixers go at it.

How to enter:

The only way to enter is to be nominated. At 3pm Sunday (1/7/17) there will be form on diyordievaping.com that you need to fill out, putting in your nomination. You cannot nominate yourself. Your nomination bust have a record of recipe mixing, with either an account on ELR or ATF with at least 3 recipes submitted before 11/10/16. You DO NOT need to be a 'DIYorDIE Member' to nominate or be nominated, anyone from anywhere can join. The FIRST 30 nominations that meet the requirements will be entered and their names announced both on the webpage and on Facebook. The Nomination period ends on 8:30pm est Thursday (1/12/17). From there no other entries will accepted.

How does the competition work:

After all nominations are made, we will begin with round one. Each round will define a new set of restrictions to create a recipe under. The following week you will be judged, and 10 will move on. This will follow until 1 is left standing. Only TFA/CAP/FW/FA/INW flavorings will be accepted. Time is your enemy in this competition as you will need to craft your recipe and get it in our hands on the following TUESDAY at 8pm. The recipes will then be vaped and judged on Thursday and winners of the round announced on ITMPodcast at 9:30pm EST. If a recipe is not submitted by 8pm tuesday, your out. This is not "MIXXED" there are no "set" ingredients. Use what you want (but remember TFA/CAP/FW/FA/INW). The only way you will be limited is with time and amount of flavorings in the recipe. So make sure you grab whatever flavorings you need BEFORE the round begins. Good Luck! I will take questions in the comments.
