Fried Donut soaked in sticky syrup and sugar glazed. The idea came from a member of the DIYORDIE Facebook group who was chasing a Fried syrup donut; having the afternoons off I decided to have a go, posting this as I was pleasantly surprised at how good it turned out. I had Yum Yums in the back of my mind when creating this for some reason, so I'm sticking with it!

FA Zeppola/FA Joy: Zeppola is my go to for donuts. It's got a light fried note, and I believe it's the most palatable of donuts. Boosted by FA Joy. Gives it a fuller, more doughy quality.

FA Meringue/FA Torrone: Sugar glazed effect. The nutty qualities of Torrone also compliment the Zeppola really well.

FA Caramel/FA Maple Syrup/CAP VCV1: This makes for a lovely sugary syrup, the Maple is well under control, blends into the caramel. The custard butters them up nicely and also helps to bind the whole recipe together. I think the Supersweet is a necessary evil to achieve an authentic sugary syrup and 0.5% feels perfect here, not too much. Not a shake and vape! Joy/Torrone/ Custard need time to do their thing 😉 Bang on after 1 week. Open to constructive criticism.
