Blue raspberry candy with cherry blossom that was made for and inspired by the love of my life. I love her so much and this is just one of the many recipes I want to make for her. Alright, now on to the recipe and it's breakdown.
Honeydewwy Bubble milk tea
Note: MF Honeydew = RAW honeydew*
I was playing around with RAW honeydew (I highly recommend it) and somehow triggered a memory of a peach&mango bubble tea I had a few years back during a visit to Frankfurt, Germany.
Its been 7 years and I hope my memory doesnt fail me with this intepretation. This is a first strike recipe and I don't really see any need to do more work on it. I really enjoy it and it hit the spot for me.
The top layer is going to be very light so i have a rare opportunity to really play with a good cream layer.
TFA Sweet cream - sweet and velvety
TFA Vanilla swirl - this will take away some of the weight but has the exact vanilla tone I am looking for
FA fresh cream - nondescript and used to undo the lightening effect of the swirl
FA black tea - strong and dark, exactly right for the profile although a tad bit earthy. I really love how the black tea lingers on your pallette, that is a quality I deem desirable for this specific profile.
TFA Green tea - breaks that earthyness and just give body and depth to the tea layer. While i wasnt specifically going for a matcha profile, I think it did a wonderful job and compliment the profile beautifully.
TFA Cherry blossom - bubble teas are ofter made with aromatic teas and i didnt feel the standard ceylon or bergamot or would go too well with the honeydew... So I chose cherry blossom, I felt that with the vanilla will help push the tea into the aromatic territory and I am very pleased with the result.
The top layer is very light so we are going in low and linear.
RAW Honeydew - light, authentic and creamy, simple and effective.
You can play around with this, chocolate, mango, peach, berries, coconut, hazelnut, almonds.. Even citrus... The possibilities are endless! stay low and you will get great results.
CAP Super sweet - helps mask some of the astringent top notes in the black tea but also helps in carrying the creams and vanilla.
So thats it. I'd love to get feedback on my attempt!
This is quite tasty. The DX Juicy peach is a powerful peach and you get that and lemonade on the inhale. The FLV nectarine adds a little bite and some dryness similar to FA white peach on exhale and cherry blossom gives you that nice floral exhale, which gives off the tea vibe. I'm really getting much cherry in this, but I'm guessing that's from the low %. Overall this is pretty refreshing drink. Thanks to Foment_Life for giving me the base idea.
Taking some inspiration from various Asian fruits and floral notes, I think I may have found my new all day vape. I saw TFA Cherry Blossom and wanted to see how to work that ingredient in a recipe for a nice, sweet floral note. I feel it plays well with the other ingredients.
The overall profile initially has an interesting smoky fruit/floral note on the inhale, the exhale focuses more on the citrusy side with more focus coming through on the WF Starfruit. FA Fuji. and CAP Kiwi. FA Mandarin helps bring a citrus note to the overall profile and FA Lychee adds more of a little juicy mouth-feel imo. Off the bat, it may be a little harsh on the throat, but after a day or two, it really mellows out.
Hope you guys enjoy and comments would be appreciated!
A remix of DB Liquids Black Blossom Tea and my attempt at a Cherry Blossom Iced Tea. Don't be alarmed by the flavor percentage. The TFA I'm using here is super weak (especially Sweet Tea).
When ID10-T turned me onto TFA Sweet Tea I knew that I had the base for this remix. It's really weak and you can probably push it up to 15% solo. The generic watered down restaurant iced tea it pushes is light and doesn't bully a mix like FA Black Tea would here.
TFA Honeysuckle/Cherry Blossom brings the cherry with some floral brightness. The Honeysuckle pushes it a little sweeter and adds some depth to the florals. I tried it without the Honeysuckle but something just seemed to be missing.
CAP Hibiscus is here to add a bit of it's renowned sticky mouthfeel and add to the sweetness.
The small amount of FE Lemon brightens things up just a little bit and isn't really noticeable in the recipe. Can't have iced tea without just a little lemon.
INW Natural Mint adds just a touch of cool natural mint to the profile. It's sits way on top and is just noticeable.
Add coolant if you wish. I like this with just the mint. It's a pretty delicate vape even with the high flavor percentage.
