Italian deserts are just incredibly tasty.
Give this joker a try...

Enjoy,
Screwdriver

This is a collaboration mix with @mlNikon . After trying Joker we both found that it would be ideal to try and build a funnel cake around . On the inhale you get that bright sweet powder sugar that transitions to that dark sweet fried dough with a brown sugar apple cinnamon finish and a light fried coating feeling that lingers. Tested on a reload S RDA with a .17 alien coil at 60 watts

Growing up we would go to upstate New York for vacation, always around the time of the dutches county fair. This is where I had my first funnel cake and every year there after . So needless to say I have eaten a few in my time .

In creating the fried dough with a a nice dark crisp outer edge of a funnel cake we found that Joker with a little bit of sweet dough worked. We tried several different options and by far this captured that mix of soft inside and crisp dark fried dough outside .

Adding some mouth feel and some additional accent notes apple filling and cinnamon sugar work well for that dark sweetness that is needed for a funnel cake

So anyone knows that the most important part of a funnel cake is the powder sugar . When applied to a warm funnel cake it almost becomes an icing. powder sugar and FW sweetner create that bright in your face, over the top sweet powder note.

So the one thing that was missing here was that lingering coating of grease after eating a funnel cake this is what golden butter does for this mix - just a touch believe it or not is enough to give that impression.

I tried to consolidate here with no more than 5 ingredients. I considered INW Yes We Cheesecake but didn't want it's crust interfering with the Joker. VT creme brulee tastes like cannoli filling but is missing the extra hint of cheese. I considered using WF mascarpone however VT cheesecake also has the hint of cheese I was looking for with minimal crust. I topped it with some FLV frosting so it could match the photo! See how this goes for you.

The steep time although long is important for the frosting and creams to do their thing. It does change around the 3 week mark to where it needs to be.

Other options include adding a drop of FLV biscotti per 15ml , FLV cinnamon crunch could work in here or spice up your creams with HS Italian or as suggested by the very helpful MB you could add some FA Catalan Cream.

Have fun.

I was looking at Guava mixes and found @mlNikon guava empanada mixed it up and fell in love! it is fantastic! https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/64495#guava_empanada_by_mlnikon This was made up for Daytime Franks Show Mixin in the kitchen Bakery episode

This is my updated 2019 version of that concept. This is a fried crispy outer shell with soft dough on the inside, filled with a cream cheese and Guava paste . On the inhale you get the cream cheese notes that transitions to the fried dough with some dark pastry notes and a bight sweet tart guava finish. This is best on an RDA at around 55 - 65 watts

FLV sweet dough is ideal to create the empanada dough inside - it does have some dark sweet notes which works in this situation.

FA joker works perfectly for a fried crisp pastry note, and lends some authenticity here . it is noticeable on the exhale and leaves that slight fried dough after taste

INW Yes we can Cheese cake and WF Mascaropne work to create that cream cheese feeling. I used the mascarpone here since it has a really nice tang and provides a full creamy body to the mix. yes we can cheesecake helps to add some density to the cream that is needed.. The cheese aroma of the mascarpone does dissipate over several days and the tang does fad a bit. if you dont what that strong cheese tang note then CAP cheese cake is an option here at 2%

WF Butter cream is the light glaze frosting on top of of the pastry - that also adds a slight waxy mouth feel that you get when you eat an actual empanada.

CAP sweet Guava has that balance of sweet tangy and works well in this application. You can also push it up without off notes and it holds up to the other heavier notes

FLV pastry zest and FLV Rich cinnamon are used here to help guava pop and add some authentic accents . The combination of Cinnamon and guava is amazing and not something I would have thought of combining. Thank you MlNikon for that find!!

I have been vaping the Simply Cannoli recipe fromt the cannoli contest ( https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/5315 ) for a long time now. When I got FA Joker in the mail I wanted to try my take on a cannoli using that as my shell flavor instead of biscuit and joy and my preferred creamy filling flavors.

Joker is a very sweet fried dough so no sweetener is needed here. It has an almost glazed, powdered sugar taste to it on it's own. 6% seems to be the preferred single flavor ratio. I tried going lower than 5% but I really like this flavor being very forward in the mix so 5% it is.

I went with the 3-2-1 cheesecake trinity but removed the graham crust, not wanting it to interfere with my crust layer.

At this point, I thought it was tasting pretty good but didn't have enough body to the filling flavor. Cap VC seems to fit the bill well and add a nice eggy note that a cannoli should have.

Finally, I wanted a bit of a lemon zest on top to add some depth to the flavor and keep it interested. FA Lemon Sicily works perfect for this, tieing in with both the sweetness of the Joker and the tang of the cheesecake flavors.

I may still adjust the percentages a bit but I think it is good enough to share at this point. Feedback is very much welcome. Hope you like it!

These cookies are made from flour, eggs, sugar, butter and flavoring (usually anise or anisette, less commonly vanilla or lemon zest). Pizzelle can be hard and crisp or soft and chewy depending on the ingredients and method of preparation. It can be moulded into various shapes, including in the shape of cannoli.

nonna cake is a fluffy cake with notes of vanilla and anise that create the base for this mix .
crispy wafer by WF is exactly that a light crisp surgar waffer cookie that has a light sweet vanilla note
Joker is a one shot that is very much like a cannoli shell - it works well at a lower percent for crisp dark cookie notes with some powder sugar
Vanilla shisha brings out some more of the vanilla notes and helps blend these flavors together to an adds some body without adding too much of a soft creme notes to soften the cookie texture
Anise was added to add support that note in the nonna cake

Was at a brunch and they were serving Crepes with a Cointreau sauce( orange liquor) , and it was just plain old YUMMY . So this was my attempt at capturing this and it comes really darn close
WF Crepes is just a great sweet pancake/ crepe base with out any additional maple syrup notes but needs a touch of texture to add those darker notes. So I added a bit of FA joker for that darker fried edges and it works perfect thanks @starsandclouds for that recommendation. I think you could use FA biscuit, or even hazelnut at a low percent to capture that as well

WF croissant and CAP butter peacn adds those lovely creamy butter notes and body that I wanted to add here The butter pecan also add some more texture
VT Orange Marmalade, FA Rum and VT golden syrup create the orange sauce . Golden syrup is like a sweet generic pancake syrup that is really useful here adding that sticky sweet sort of mouth feel to the Rum and Orange marmalade . I used rum rather then brandy here as I did not want the other fruit notes that brandy can have and i wanted some of the darker spice notes from the rum
I used FW sweetener here at 0.05%

NOTES/SUBS while Joker is not needed it does add the darker crunch to the crepe . Any dark cookie note could work at a low percent . if you want more of an orange pop top note you can a dd another orange/ citrus of your liking to the Orange marmalade. I did not want the orange to take over but to be more of a accent note .

Hapsburg Limonada........Could also be made for a jug/pitcher

This is just a recipe i was playing around with and i was really happy with how it turned out. Authentic who knows i think it is but i also haven't ever had one of these sweet treats. This came about from discovering how nice the chocolate notes were in my recent tobacco recipe from using flv mocha and flv smoked butterscotch. So here rather than smoked butterscotch i used just normal flv butterscotch because i think it will just work better. I then basically built my recipe around that combination of mocha and butterscotch. I again am getting a good chocolate vibe with this combination not to much and not to little. I then added a little flv irish cream really low because i didn't want it to too irish cream heavey. Then i added some vanilla custard v1 for the irish cream to blend with for the cannoli filling. For the cannoli body i used flavor art joker because i really like it and it just works. Do i need a better reason to use it than that? Lol. I find flavor art joker to be a great cannoli crust i dont get much if any filling from it but thats fine because i would rather make my own filling for it anyway.. Anyway for just playing around i really like how this turned out. Hopefully a few of you will actually have the ingredients and will actually give this a mix. Enjoy!!

I added .35% flavorah sweetness you can use or dont use your preferred sweetener at your preferred percentage.

Cannoli shell with a smooth and creamy filling. The little bit of chocolate really shines and brings everything together.
